I love all of their spicy dishes here and have always been treated well. If you get the lunch special there is enough food for two people.

I just happened to try this place by chance and was pretty surprised. We ordered the special for two and it had enough food for four! Wontons, shrimp, soup, chow mein, and two meat entrees all for under $ 30. The hostess was super nice and even the owner came out to say hello(it was close to closing). If you like the majority of the Chinese food around you’ll definitely like it here.

Yeah you may find better Chinese food, but these guys always hook it up, and the food never tastes like it was sitting around. Chinese American food for sure, but hey, if it was TOO authentic people would turn their nose up. Very hot and fresh. Can’t complain, been my go to in Rocklin since me and my neighbor tried it for lunch a few months back.

Summary= average Chinese food that will do in a pinch but don’t expect your going to Fat’s or something like that. After a long day of yard work and starving to death Wok will do just fine. But if you’re looking for a better-than-average Chinese place for a date or high end Chinese food you should keep driving.

Wanna like this place. prices are good, service was good. Portions are great. But the food is just so bland. 4 dishes all were just bland and way too oily. Décor is lacking in appeal.

I don’t know what authentic Chinese food tastes like, but this was pretty good! It was nice to be able to get combination plates at non-lunch times. I ordered teriyaki beef and traded with my husband who ordered general chicken. Chicken was crispy with good sauce. My daughter got sweet and sour pork. It was also crispy.

This place was great! I was apprehensive because of other reviews but it was delicious. The food was served warm, very quick and it was really tasty. The lady that helped us was also very nice. The cook came out and ask if we liked it with a huge smile on his face. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back soon. Oh not to mention great prices! P. S. The cream cheese wontons are to die for

Come on, you’re in Rocklin. You’re not going to find the best Chinese food here. But wok on fire isn’t bad at all. Nothing really great, but its not worse than other Chinese restaurants in the area. In a pinch, it’ll do. I’ve grown to really like the hostess with the sour face. She’ll even crack a smile if you smile first. :)

Is this place a joke? Or a front? Hostess looks at you like,“What are you doing here?“ Food was mushy and disgusting. The next day it had our fridge smelling awful with the small leftovers o saved for a family member. Restaurant is always empty and smells funky. How did they pass inspection?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Tried this place for lunch today with the wife as our usual place isn’t open for lunch on Tuesday. When we walked in, it’s empty apart from one lady sitting in a booth talking on the phone at the top of her voice. The temperature inside was Baltic… I mean freezing… Colder inside than out. We ordered a couple of dishes from the lunch menu. Today’s soup is Hot and sour. Well… It’s neither hot nor sour… In fact… It had a weird taste. I love hot and sour soup usually but this tasted like old dish water and was bland. The tea pot didn’t seem clean when it came out. I would like to review the rest of the dishes but I decided to cut my losses and leave. Couldn’t stick around. The start was so bad I was worried about where it was going to go from there. I’ll never go back.

Received flyer for this restaurant. They put 15% off coupons on it to get you to call in then refuse to honor coupon. I don’t deal with companies that false advertise then do not honor the coupon they mail out. It is 11÷13÷15 and supposedly valid until 12÷31÷15

Got their flyer at my doorstep. I was elated that it stated they delivered so thought I’d give it a try. I ordered the crab wonton, honey walnut shrimp & shrimp chow mein. The delivery time was pretty decent, about 30mins. $ 33 total cost, including tip. The crab wontons looked over cooked and I wasn’t impressed with the taste. I doubt I will order it again. The Honey Walnut shrimp was ok, not too bad. The shrimp chow mein was just ok as well & not that great. Overall, I was not happy or satisfied as I was really looking forward to a nice tasty meal. So, my search for a great Chinese restaurant that delivers continues…

Received a menu on my front door for the new«Wok On Fire» and decided to give it a try. Upon entering I discovered that the restaurant was completely empty… wasn’t too concerned because at 2:30PM it was well past lunch and early for dinner. I was greeted and told I could sit wherever I liked so I chose a booth even though I was a party of one. A menu was quickly delivered to the table and I was told the lunch menu was still available(daily until 3PM). I ordered the sweet and sour pork and half and half rice and chow mein. The server placed my order in the kitchen and here’s where things started going south… I was brought a glass of water and when I looked at it there was a small bug swimming on the surface. I pointed it out, she apologized and quickly took the glass back to the kitchen. As soon as she disappeared around the wall her voice changed dramatically from soft and polite to crazed and screaming(something in Chinese I believe). When she returned with a bug-free water, her demeanor had returned to normal. I was delivered a very anemic looking Wonton soup. Wonton means swallowing a cloud(the wontons floating in the soup are believed to resemble clouds). The wontons tasted fine but the soup broth tasted odd… almost like dish detergent. I did not finish it. The main course of sweet and sour pork, chow mein and rice was average but I was still thinking about that bug doing the backstroke in my water throughout the meal. I like supporting local businesses and the server was very polite and apologetic about the bug… but this and the odd tasting soup brought my review down to 2 stars overall.

Perfect idea for a delivery night. This inexpensive dinner meal for two ended up being a dinner meal for five and there was more then enough to go around and the quality was quite delicious.

Had the dinner special for 2 and it was enough to feed 4 people! We were full after soup and appetizers haha! Very generous with the food. Sorry to hear about the one stars on here because the new managment is 20x better… They are way nicer and hard working. And our food tasted amazing! I only returned in the past because the food was good, but the service was awful then. Anywho, saw the new management sign and decided to give it a shot and I am SO glad me and my best friend did. We will be ordering from here, and they also deliver within 5 miles. And take to go orders still. They had one waitress tonight serving about 5 to 7 tables the whole time and she did amazing for how crazy busy it was. She was on it! Would recommend another server, but I know they are still starting out… Try it!

Unfortunately they are under new management. Every item has increased by $ 1.00 or more. The quality of the food has dropped and the waitress has to be asked and told how to do things. Very sad considering there are not alot of good Chinese places in Rocklin to begin with.

It is under new management and the food was excellent. No msg, lots of fresh ingredients, big plates of food, yummy :). We ordered potstickers, beef with snow peas, fish with black bean sauce and white rice. Out of the five beers listed on the menu they only had two available :(. Other than that it was an awesome dining experience.

Been here a few times and I have tried MANY hole in the wall Chinese food places. This one is one of the best. Owner and maybe a cook are the only ones who work there I think. Every time I go, we are the only table there. Always ! Sometimes owner is hard to communicate with… nice lady though and good food.

If you like mushy beef that smell like some kind of fish… enjoy. Chow mein noodles were over cooked and mushy… it was our first time and our last… cannot recommend.

Don’t get me wrong, this place is not bad. It is just not that good. Pu pu platter seemed a bit skimpy/cheapish to me, compared to(for example) China Villa in Rocklin. The slices of ham were very thin like you’d get packaged by Oscar Meyer, the slices of beef on the skewers were almost see-through. I ordered Szechuan Pork with Chow Mein, and it was a bit tricky to see where each one was on the plate — it all kind of just ran together. The taste was OK, but not spicy, and it seemed like a rather small portion. But all in all, it is OK. It’s not going to surprise you or turn into that hidden little favorite. I will say that the woman who served us was very nice, and that does count for something in my book. If you’re hungry and dead-set on Chinese AND in the parking lot, you could do worse. :-)
