Had a good lunch there, simple beef enchiladas and they were fine. I went back for breakfast and was not impressed. I got one egg on top of a pile of soggy corn tortillas with some green sauce. That is not what I thought I would be getting. It was not good. If I go back, I will try something else. Our waitress was brand new and messed up our order, but I can live with that, she was new, but for $ 9.95 I thought my breakfast would be much better than it was.

This place is stuck in back of some busier fast food restaurants. It looks like it was converted away from a backhouse. The inside is nice. It’s festive as it should be. It is very clean. There’s some room. Interesting menu options. I got some kind of stuffed avacado. It was dry. I was confused to hear that happy hour is exclusive to drinks. I don’t drink :/Food can be served a la carte and for 2 dollars more with sides of beans and rice. Servers are nice. I was here a little after 5, it wasn’t busy.

The place had such potential but sadly failed to deliver. After driving by multiple times we finally decided to try it. It was just OK, nothing at all special. The food seemed old. That’s the best way to describe it. My fajitas came out a little too fast and that was a good sign that someone didn’t cook it fresh. The bell pepper was still too crunchy and the onions weren’t quite caramelized. Sadly, I think that was the only fresh items. The refried beans were already a darker color and bland like they sat too long. The rice was lukewarm and also bland.(see a trend?) Tortillas were hard, stiff and totally store bought, not freshly made that day. Even the corn tortillas chips are hard. The queso was very watery and $ 5.00 for a small. Positives: $ 1.50 draft beers! Hell yeah Great salsa & large portions. Safe to say we won’t be back.

I just got trying to brush the taste of this food out of my mouth. Possibly the worst Mexican meal I have had. Here was the breakdown. . 1. The chips were cooked in old oil. It coated my mouth and is still making me sick to my stomach 2. The microwave is in full use. My daughters meal was so sadly prepared that the cheese was still in full curds under the dry bun and the burger was so inedible that she wouldn’t even touch it 3. Crust. It comes free! On the beans, on the cheese dip, which was flavorless at best, anything that was supposed to be soft had crust 4. Did you know that chicken can liquify in your mouth. Neither did we. It’s no Buenos. 5. Breaded fish. You bread fish so you can make it crisp. There was either no breading or it was boiled. 6. Care. They don’t. We were told that we were wrong when we said things like«this fish isn’t breaded» or «this child’s meal is inedible» We used our nice people manners but this was a horrible experience that sent the family home with tummy aches. No wonder we were the only people there.

I brought my two kids, ages 10 and 11, there on a Tuesday around 1:15pm for lunch and the place was empty! They ordered a taco plate each which is $ 5 for 1 taco, rice and beans and a soft drink(the kids menu was difficult to read and they had already ordered water. The waitress didn’t let them know that they get drinks with their meals. :(None of us liked the refried beans. I didn’t like the rice. It seemed very bland and kind of chopped up. I ordered 2 flautas, one chicken and one beef so I could try them both. They were just meat rolled up in the tortilla and fried. Nothing fancy or too flavorful. My meal was $ 6 and came with some queso and guacamole salad, which was just a scoop of guac on top of some lettuce. I ordered the rice and beans for $ 1.29 extra so I could try them. Waste of $. The cheese dip looked and tasted like Velveeta with some peppers in it. When it came it had a film on the top and at the end of the meal it was already completely congealed. The guac didn’t taste very fresh. The beef taco my son had was very greasy and lots of liquid came out of the chicken taco. The chips were great at 1st but then started tasting like old grease after a while. The only redeeming qualities of this place: The waitress was nice, the salsa was very tasty and the $ 1 for 3 chalupas for dessert(small but still enough for us). We will definitely not go again!!!

Friendly service, a strong drink, and good food. Can’t ask for much more than that. Enjoyed my very affordable street taco plate and the Baja tacos were great as well. I’ll definitely be coming back.

My hubs and I stopped in here just for kicks and WEAREINLOVE. Super chill, super quaint, super authentic. The meal was AMAZING. Warning: this is just not mainstream Tex-Mex. The server was so sweet and very helpful. He said there is live mariachi on the weekends. Good price, cheap drinks — -every Mexican food lover needs to try this place! We got the«Molcajete cielo» entrée and shared it. It was plenty for both of us. FORREAL. COMEHERE.

It went well. No crowd at all so service time was pretty good. But it seemed like they were so used to there not being anyone there, that they were surprised by our presence. Décor is pretty good. If they want more business they should take advantage of the stage & patio outside. Food was average. Not anything to write home about, so they say. Got enchiladas with red sauce(meat gravy), but the sauce was lacking meat… Mexican martinis were stout. Beans were a little thick. But all & all not much wrong with it but not much that I can say I was impressed it either.

So far, so good! I’ve only eaten here once but I was impressed with the service, and their mole. When I find mole I like, I usually REALLY like it but too often it’s a little too sweet and the chocolate is too prominent for my tastes. I don’t know if one is considered more«authentic» than the other but I know which I like and they’ve got it. It’s rich, with a complex flavor that I associate with mole(no mystery here, have you ever seen a list of all the crap that goes into mole?). The waitress checked on me regularly, keeping my tea, chips, and salsa replenished. The salsa had a pretty decent flavor but nothing to make it stand out from a dozen others I’ve had, in addition to that is was surprisingly mild. I know that’s a plus for some but certainly not for me. I like my salsa to have a little more attitude and give me a little kick in the teeth. The rice and refries were both surprisingly good, I say that because more often than not I’ll only take a couple bites of these, then forget they’re even on my plate. In this case they proved more flavorful than most and I wound up eating most of it. I look forward to going back and trying their carnitas, chile relleno, tres leches, and fried cheese cake. If I like them as much as what I had this time I might have to give them another star and become a regular here.
