Ridicolusly understaffed, waiting time is 45 minutes or longer. Don’t plan on going during lunch break. Customers are not prioritized by type of visit so if you are waiting to pickup glasses you can be waiting for a family of school-aged kids to pick out their glasses first.

Absolutely horrid experience. Understaffed. No explanations or updates on wait times. Gave priority to others who were lower on their ‘wait list’. Will never be back and will tell others to stay away.

Poor service. They made us wait for an hour before anyone could attend us. The manager was unapologetic and rude. They really need to improve their service. Also the prices advertised are low but what you really pay is at least twice.

It’s not like they are being ask to perform a task outside of the scope of their work; filling eyeglass prescriptions. How can so many efforts to do this(what has always in the past at OTHER optical shops, been so easy) be such a challenge to these folks? Customer service is fine enough, their ability to perform accurately is way off the mark… and we are talking about your EYES… not making a pizza… so when they go wrong, it really goes wrong. While we were in the shop for the 3rd time to have my husband’s glasses corrected, there was a line up behind us of folks with some of the SAME problems we were having. NEVERAGAIN! Not ONEPENNY will I give this place.

Hey, I had a great experience here a few days ago, so hopefully my 4 stars helps this place out. I was referred here from Pioneer Vision because they(Eyemart) accepts Medicaid for lenses and frames. I was helped by Ariel for the entire visit. It took me a few minutes to pick out a pair of frames, which I’m extremely happy with(Guess brand and midnight blue — so cute). After picking them out, I sat down with Ariel to pick out my lenses. Now listen, the people that work here are basically retail salesmen for glasses. Those giving negative reviews should know better than to complain about their expertise level. They’re «opticians» not optometrists — need I say more? That being said, Ariel started off by pricing me out with the lowest priced lenses and even itemized the costs for me. Eventually, I figured I’d go with the highest HD lens they offered. Ariel had to go and check to see what exactly the differences between them all were(they’re charted into 3 or 4 categories in the binder), which is the only reason for the 4 stars. My insurance card was taken, I paid the difference, and that was that. I’ll update when I receive my glasses in the next week or so. As far as the retail experience, it was pretty much what I expected. Ariel was kind and did the best that she could to help me pick out and buy a pair of glasses. I felt she did a great job.

They did not thrill me, not that I go to eyeglass stores for thrills. I walked in with a prescription and an old pair of frames that have proven to be one of the few comfortable glasses I’ve ever found for my ‘ol melon head. The lady who eventually greeted me was very pleasant(2 stars for that), but she consulted another employee at the back and informed me that my new prescription was simply too large for those frames. «quite impossible given the strength of my new prescription, but look at the vast selection of new frames we offer that will work.» Again, I’ll justify 2 stars for the selection. I found some frames that were tolerable, but not great, and explained I wanted to go «economy class» since these were a backup pair I would just wear while working around the house. I was given a quote of ~$ 450 and told it was a deal. Skeptical, I held off on placing the order and took a shot at Aspire Vision in Round Rock a few days later. They placed the order for my existing frames in about 10 minutes for ~$ 130. No fuss, no upsell. A week later, and I’m writing this review wearing the very same frames I was told by Eyemart Express were obsolete.

We visited this location in an emergency situation when our 3 year old’s frames broke 2 days before his ophthalmologist follow up visit. These appointments are booked 4 months out so rescheduling was not an option. We were quoted a price of 2 complete sets of glasses for $ 57.92 or one for $ 38.75 over the phone. I took the remainder of day off and our family went to the store, expecting to have an inexpensive temporary replacement pair or two for my son until after his doctor visit. Upon arriving, we were approached by Debbie, who offered to price out some of the frames we had selected. She told us that the special pricing we were given applied to $ 39 frames. As she priced out qualifying frames, she came up with a price of $ 188 for two pair, far from the advertised $ 57.92 that got us to come into the store. We found a $ 10 frame and asked what those would cost and she calculated that and told is they would be $ 78, again, far more than the special advertised. She insisted that she couldn’t do any better on price and we left and called the manager, Rod, who was rude and unapologetic of his staff of his store’s bait and switch tactics. All in all, it was a huge waste of time and I would encourage anyone who needs glasses to go to a place that is more customer oriented and honest.

Their advertising is a joke. They advertise low prices, but if you want anything other than cheap plastic single vision lenses, the price goes up dramatically! Glasses in about an hour? Try 2 ½ weeks in my case. They say they will call you when your glasses are ready, but when I was told they would be ready I had to call them, only to find out that they were having problems. You would think someone would call and let you know they were having a problem, but not in my case. In 2 ½ weeks, I can get prescription glasses out of China for 1⁄3 the price, so why buy here?
