We go to this donut shop 2x a month. They are always busy but service is fast. There is a drive thru but we like to go in so we can watch the donuts being made through the glass partition. Coffee is expensive so i skip it. My 4 year old gives the blue sprinkle donut a million stars. She starts vibrating in place by the 3rd bite and is insanely hyper by the time we are ready to leave. The sprinkles are apparently tiny energy beads.

Literally the best donuts in town. I’m not one to criticize a business but Shipley’s has Round Rock Donuts beat by a long shot!

I volunteer at a shelter, and every month I pick up donuts and coffee. They always have them waiting for me, and everything is always fresh. Staff is wonderful! Very friendly.

Skipping breakfast, running late to work, & Shipley’s being within walking distance from my job have landed me here at 7:55AM several mornings. Let me tell you that not one* of those mornings did I receive hot or even WARM donuts or kolaches. At 8AM you’d think you’d at least get them hot & somewhat fresh. I tell you these things are borderline cold & the glaze crumbles everywhere before it makes it out the bag. I really didn’t want to give them a negative review, HOWEVER, after this happened 4 or 5 times over a period of 3 months maybe, I felt the need to. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

Is 9am really too late to get a warm donut? Ive been a shipley’s fan since childhood and their hot donut is my favorite, way better than Krispy Kreme and in same league as Round Rock — but when I have to nuke it at work because it’s straight-up cold, that takes it down to a grocery-store donut. To add insult to injury, the coffee was terrible — literally no flavor — tossed it after a few sips. Only reason it’s not a 1-star review is that after I did reheat it, it was way better than Krispy Kreme so at least there is potential.

Every time we go to this location, the donuts taste days old. Happened again this morning along with unfriendly staff which is what prompted me to finally write a review. Go to the location on Hwy 79! Always fresh and friendly!

Having eaten Donut Palace or Duncan most of my life, I have to say I was not impressed. The location is great and I like the apple fritters. That’s where the good part stops. You have to wait until you get to the drive thru window to even see the menu. Most donut places offer the same fare so this is not a big deal but slightly inconvenient The person who takes your order doesn’t write anything down but calls it out for others to fulfill. Problem is, those people are usually engaged in conversation, leaving your order likely to be misheard and incorrect. The last two times, my order was wrong. If you get a kolache, just know that they are misleading. They look great but are mostly a giant cavity in the middle. I ordered a sausage, jalapeño, and cheese only to find it was mostly air in the center with a skinny little sausage link. C’mon Shipley’s.

Love Shipley’s, ever since I was a kid. Excited to find a location blocks from home. The donuts are always fresh, warm, and melt in your mouth. This location has Big Earl with cheese, which is one of the best sausage kolaches out there. Other locations don’t have them, so if you’re near by, do yourself a favor and try the big earl!

Nothing to write home about, Stopped by here on way to work, long drive through, but no menus until you actually get to window Cashier was trying to rush us, yet taped menus are only at the window, if you are trying for speed perhaps get an actual sign near front of drive through? They do not cook donuts on sight, saw a man pull my dounts from a 12 ct into smaller box, but at 7am i expected HOT and FRESH donuts

Good, fresh, and always a friendly staff to get you what you need. Nothing ground breaking to write about. I do prefer others donuts over Shipley, but that does not mean they are not good. It is just my preference. As to the kolaches. they are better than some in the area… so essentially you can get what you crave or need here. Clean business, fast service, friendly staff, and good(3 star) food.

I’m a long time lover of Shipleys and this place delivers! Cute new building and the donuts taste the same as the other locas. If you’re reading this and you’ve never been to Shipley, get the sausage and cheese kolache. Look at me, enriching your life. Go me and you’re welcome.

This is a great location for me. I enjoy the convenience of the drive-thru. Every time I go, the staff is fast and friendly. I actually think that Central Donut is less expensive. The complaint I have about Shipley’s is that they sell you a filled donut and you have to pay full price for it. Yet, when you eat the donut it is not full of filling. As a matter of fact, it’s about ¼ full. So, if you get what you pay for… I’m just sayin’. I’ll go back based on convenience of location, even so I know there are better options for my money.

I was surprised to find this new Shipley location this morning, but it was a welcome on-my-way place to pick up a few of their delicious jalapeño sausage and cheese kolaches. The drive-thru was fast and service was pleasant, and the kolaches(and coffee) were both just what I was looking for. I’m not sure if it’s going to pass Central Donut or Round Rock Donuts on my list of favorites, but it’s definitely a welcome addition to the Mays/Gattis School area donut and kolache scene.
