If you are super hungry DO NOT COME HERE! it took literally 1 hour for our food to arrived although it was late at night and (empty) now I know why! Still took forever! It was a big group as well and even though the waitress was very nice the manager LANCE CHAVERRIA was very unprofessional! He gave us a 15% discount ($ 2.85)!!! This is why I’m taking my time to write this review…

Definitely do not come to this location if you are super hungry. Took forever and a day to get an appetizer and a day and a half to get our entrée. Kitchen can definitely not keep up with serving its customers in a timely manner. Will definitely not go to any Applebee’s to sit and enjoy a meal as it seems that this is a consistent occurrence. Drinks at the bar seems like this is the best thing to enjoy at these restaurants.

Ugh where to start!!! We never really come here cause I’ve worked at one! 1^st time we came it was horrible my ribs were undercooked. No biggy I’m huge on 2^nd chances. Came back tonight waited 45 minutes for a cold appetizer. Then waited another 45 for my actual food like what?! There wasn’t anyone there but 3 other couples! Paid extra 5 bucks for a undercooked baked potato and a steak covered in so much grease you could taste the other food they cooked next to it! Our waiter could careless about us and when they came to check on us I was gonna ask for extra sour cream and she rolled her eyes and well I never got my sour cream. If you can avoid this place please do! Not all are bad but this one ruined it for me not once but twice!

OK I’ve been to the Apple many times and usually really enjoy the food but get frustrated at everything else. So, recently we went and were very happy with everything.
The new burgers are freakin awesome! Apps and small plates very cool! Deserts are wonderful too! Respectable beer selection.
If you’ve been frustrated with the service I suggest you ask for Robert. Relatively tall, thin African-​American dude that was great. We will be back and ask for him.
I think they are really trying hard to change the way people have thought of them. I think it’s working, so long as they can get their service and accuracy right. They did for us this time.

Would totally give 5 stars. Seriously. Food was good. Never had to ask for a refill and the waitress was super funny and nice. The part that should get 1 star. The general manager tonight. On 07÷11÷15. She is the most unprofessional and rude person and does not deserve to be in the service industry. You don’t get onto someone for cleaning a table that loudly. You don’t talk to someone that way. I don’t care who it is. I couldn’t even finish my food. I will not come back to a place that has an employee that rude and demeaning. Too bad because the apps are yummy!!!

My family got a to-​go order. The burgers are always good but according to my father and sister the steak was absolutely terrible. the said it was dry, low quality meat, and had a bad after taste. The service was alright but we didn’t eat inside.

I really like it here. We get almost the same server every time we come here which I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, ha. The food is consistently good and I much prefer Applebee’s over Chili’s which is right across the way.
The only issue I have with them is that their car side to go thing is not the greatest. Someone always screws up our order and it is so frustrating. Maybe they should consider streamlining their process more.
Either way, this is a nice quick and fairly affordable place to eat in Rowlett and I dig them.

Friendly service. The food was okay… but nothing to brag about. Waitress was polite but didn’t go above and beyond. They were busy on a suturday night… but service was still a little slow.

Great service! I had the endless ribs and they were tasty.

We dine here at least once a week and have always had good service and nice people. I feel its a nice clean place to sit and enjoy some sports on the many wall and ceiling mounted TV’s. We always get the chips and salsa, good value. I left my credit card once and called back 6 days later and they had it secured in the office. I will rate this diner highly for being honest with their customers and being consistent with their product.

Visited this location for lunch with a $ 25 gift card I had received for my birthday. We ordered the queso blanco, bacon cheeseburger and chicken and shrimp dish with two drinks. Our total was $ 31. I don’t think you can beat that for a sit down restaurant. Our food was good, and it came out fast. The managers and staff were very attentive of us and super friendly. They also have great drink specials, big screens for game watching, and free wifi. This location is also cleaner than any other Applebee’s I have ever visited. If I had to choose any Applebee’s to visit again, hands down it would be this one.

We’ve been to this location on numerous occasions and have never had a bad experience. The food is always good and well-​cooked and the staff has always been attentive and courteous.

Service was awful… food was worse… wrong food and then got an attitude when I sent it back. Did not eat anything but fries. Not going back! Ever!

Staff is good but good is below par. Overcoocked frozen salmon tiny and not as enticing à the menu picture.

My 4-​star rating is based on LUNCH. LUNCH here is very good. The fish and chips are delicious. The Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad is amazing. The hamburgers are incredible. The staff is very friendly. I can’t emphasize enough… this review is based on my numerous visits at LUNCH. For dinner… go somewhere else.

We came in at about 8 pm and were seated right away :-) Our waitress brought us drinks and we ordered Sizzling Fajitas with their special sauce and added guacamole. Delicious! I loved the spicy rice that came with this entrée. We followed that with a chocolate chip cookie bite (with ice cream) — yum! We will be back!

Went there last Saturday night at about 8 pm. There were 10 to 12 empty tables, but we were told there was a twenty minute wait to be seated because they were short busboys to clean all the empty tables. We went ahead and waited, and during the 20 minutes watched the hostess, a waiter and a manager stand around staring at each other because no one could be seated at the dirty tables. God forbid anyone else pick up a bus tub and a rag. Finally after the wait, we were seated at a dirty table that the hostess wiped off after we sat down. Then we waited another 15 minutes and no one ever came to the table to wait on us, so we finally gave up and left. That was my third and final bad experience there. I won’t be back.

So sad, went in to place a to go order. Asked the bartender if I could place an order to go here? Bartender said «yeah» and stood there & looked at me. (Luckily I knew what I wanted before I even stepped in the building) It would have been nice if the bartender would have offered a menu or I don’t know… maybe made a suggestion! But nope, the bartender just stood there like a mannequin. I have yet to dine in at this location but I cant wait until I do. 2 stars based on the food only, otherwise it would have been 1 star.

Staff was friendly. We were seated immediately. Took them a few minutes to come take our drink orders. Ordered drinks and a water, water never came. Ordered appetizers and then also our meals. Some drinks came out within 5 minutes, 2 drinks sat at the bar another 5 minutes. No water, so we asked again. Half of the appetizers came, other half did not. Finally the other 2 appetizers came out, asked for water again as it still did not come out.
About 30 seconds to 1 minute after last appetizers arrived, our main courses showed up. Literally, our meals showed up practically at the same time as the appetizers. This tells me the kitchen is in poor running order.
Water still did not arrive after asking many times so I went to the bar and go it myself.
Cut into the steaks and my 9oz sirloin was medium rare, yet I ordered it medium. Was not asked by anyone how our food was. I ate half of the steak before being unable to finish it. Could of somehow gotten the attention of staff, but with the water failing to show up was afraid I’d never see my plate again.
Unfortunately, this was probably our worst visit here. We don’t come often, this time will make the time in between visits a little bit more.

Food was cold and service was very slow.
