The last time I was at this Dennys I enjoyed my visit. This time is a somewhat different story. I was greeted and seated promptly and my order was taken quickly. That where the good stopped. Twenty-five minutes later I got my food. Which was lucky warm at best. The pancakes were so cold that the butter wouldn’t melt. Eggs were cold and bacon while crisp was also cold. The front end of this restaurant is very good but the kitchen is killing it. The food was not worrth the 25 minute wait. In the future I will probably go to the nearby Famous Anthony’s.

Great Great service and the food was great too. took off one star because one piece of bacon way to done .but hey cant have it all.4 stars means alot in this world of restaurants. .most are 2 or less stars…

Driving back to DC after a weekend reliving your college days in Blacksburg? Stop at Denny’s on the way back! It’s not far off of I-81 and the service is really good. We actually had better service here than at Poor Billy’s the night before — one of Blacksburg’s «finer» dining establishments.
Thing to know before you go: I am not sure if this is a company-wide policy or just at this specific location (probably the latter…), but they do not have skim milk. Gonna have to settle for 2% or bring your own!

The server was spectacular! The food was FAST and FRESH.
We came with an infant and seven year old… yep most servers run when they see us coming!
We are vegetarians so we needed a little bit of custom ordering, which the young lady who served us gladly accommodated. The veggie patty mushroom burger and onion rings were hot and fresh, the veggie platter was large and well seasoned and the kids-eat-free Tuesday gave our kids free meals, so pizza and Mac and cheese were a hit!
The food was FAST and FRESH. Granted, the salads and other veggie items were standard fare, nothing deluxe, but perfect for the price tag. We were impressed with their willingness to custom make and mix foods too. The serving sizes were just about right and we left feeling refreshed.

Not recommended. Food is okay but service is slow and disorganized. They do have free wi-fi and a convenient location and hours, but that’s all I can give it. You’ll have better luck at the nearby Omelet Shoppe, Shoney’s or Hardee’s.
