I recommend going to any other McDonalds than this location. The customer service is GREAT, HOWEVER, this location takes DAYS to complete a single order. I drive by to see how busy they are, 2 cars in the drive-thru…NOWAY. I just don’t know why this location takes forever. I have ordered and just drove away without anything because it has taken SOO long.

NASTYFOOD&PATHETICCUSTOMERSERVICE This has to be one of the WORST McDonald’s in San Diego County. The crew is not only unfriendly, they are obnoxious and ungrateful — «customer satisfaction» is NOT within their vocabulary. If I were McDonald’s corporate office, I would pull their franchise license, since they are totally ruining the McDonald’s brand in the marketplace. ISSUE #1 — CUP&LIDFIASCO: When I requested my order«TOGO», I also requested a cup of water to go as well, since I do not drink sodas or caffeinated drinks. They gave me a cheap plastic cup that does not fit any of the lids that they have available. When I asked for a cup that can be used with a lid, so that the water wouldn’t spill, I was informed that such a cup would cost me an extra $ 1 and that it wasn’t their problem someone ordered the wrong lids. SERIOUSLY — when McDonald’s buys those cups by the millions, they do NOT cost $ 1. This particular McDonald’s restaurant’s policy is not only completely ridiculous, but it’s also insulting and disrespectful. I’ve NEVER encountered such a policy in effect at any other McDonald’s restaurants that I’ve ever been to. The lack of any level of customer service at this restaurant is horrific and I will never spend another single cent there. For the minimal amount of a cup and lid for water to go which might cost the restaurant maybe $.03, they have definitely lost all future customer sales from me. ISSUE #2 — DIARRHEA: In addition to the cup and lid fiasco, the two quarter pounders with cheese that I ordered didn’t taste right. In addition to being cold, they also had a slightly funky taste as well. Unfortunately, I was already irritated at their unconscionable policy, on the road, and was starving because I didn’t have the chance to eat anything else the entire day up to this point. In retrospect, I should have thrown the sandwiches out, because I definitely paid for it later. As it turns out, I developed a bad case of diarrhea and didn’t get any sleep that night as a result. Since I didn’t eat anything else that day, other than those two quarter pounders with cheese, it’s pretty evident what caused my case of diarrhea. I would welcome the opportunity to report this matter to the City health inspector, if I thought that it would do any good and it wouldn’t be such a hassle to submit the report. LESSONLEARNED: Again, in retrospect, in reading some of the other Unilocal! comments regarding this particular McDonald’s restaurant, it seems as though management is cheap and thrives on cutting corners — perhaps they still have to pay for their recent remodel. Therefore, incidents such as the cup & lid fiasco and the resulting case of diarrhea could have both been predicted and expected. In addition to never patronizing this particular McDonald’s restaurant, this extremely negative experience has also taught me to check out the Unilocal! reviews BEFORE going to a restaurant. It certainly could have saved me a lot of anxiety, frustration, and discomfort. This is especially true, since there are many other fast food as well as McDonald’s restaurants within the nearby area and the ONLY reason that I selected this particular restaurant was due to it’s convenient location at that time.

Double hamburger bun Stale. Only a dab of onions, squirt of catsup. Patties greasy and hot but only half the size of the stale bun. Large coke was mostly fizz seems to me that McDonalds having sales problems quarter after quarter is cutting portion and ingredient sixe. A squirt less of coke syrup multiplied over hundreds of coke eventually will add to their bottom line. If that is if they stay in business that long. This is not the first time I had problems at this location. Mostly they get order wrong like their sister store on Rosecrans did to me later that same day. The owners of these stores run a sloppy shop.

Food and service are both good, better than average McDonald’s. They lost a star from me because they recently removed all outlets to plug in laptop.

Here on a rare rainy day. Manager Keith attempted to kick a homeless gentleman out because he was in the empty lobby for more than 30 minutes citing policy. My family bought him a meal so he could stay out of the rain a bit longer. Nice place but a terrible manager on duty. Don’t bother.

THEYALWAYSSCREWUPORDERS!!! Check your food before you leave the drive thru. I had to come back twice in one day!!! The First time I noticed before I left the area that I only got 1 hash brown instead of the 3, the 2nd time I was home and had to drive all the way back(with my toddler) because both sausage McMuffins w egg, had NO egg(which I payed for) and when I returned… I told Ryan(one of the managers) it was my SECOND time returning because the order was all screwed up, he just gave me a puppy dog face and shrugged his shoulders… that annoyed me! My goodness, throw in a free hash brown for the inconvenience or offer the food that was being returned to you that was incorrect. After all, you can’t re-sell the returned food, your supposed to just throw it away anyway. McDonalds, make your loyal customers happy!!! Shout out to Starbucks… When they screw up an order, they offer to give you the drink they made wrong. Just realized… They threw an egg on my returned order… They didn’t even give me new sandwiches! Soooo ghetto!!! It was cold and disgusting!!!

Beware found bugs in a cup of ice from drive thru — will be reporting to city, went inside to talk to manager to inform about the situation, it took the manager over 20 minutes to see me and to my surprise it was the manager who was working the drive thru — the manager did not view the situation as being serious — there were many cars in the drive thru who were being served this ice

I don’t know at what time they close. The ‘open 24hours’ applies only to the drive thru. I think it is 10pm but door are locked at 9:50, which is really annoying. I understand they have to clean, but it doesn’t make sense to close the doors if people are still inside eating. It is just OK. A lot of mistakes in orders though. The receipt shows what I order but it is just plain wrong(too bad when it happens when you just ask for a mac flurry).

Just A little thing to remember when coming to McDonalds. I am an employee here at midway. A LOT of people think just because someone works at a McDonalds that we our some second rate kind of human beings, however this is not true. There are people that come in all day that treat us like we our their slaves, they are; rude, mean, and all together UNCULTURED. I have seen my fellow employees(including myself) get soda, ice, and garbage thrown at them. Some one has even spit on us. So remember that every job has it’s pros and cons. The next time you think that was awful service just think back, did you say Hello, and Thank You maybe compliment their smile or efficiency? Trust me a small compliment goes a long way with us after a long day, however this smallest thing like cutting us off when were talking, or not making eye contact with conversation can snap us. If you can’t think of one reason why you were treated with such disrespect and I mean really try, then I get it. There are some grade A B***holes that work here. I’ve seen and I’ve told them that they are the reason that McDs gets a bad wrap. So on behalf of them I sincerely apologize because I work with them all day and it is «No Bueno» Next If I just could educate just one person on how to order that would be great!!! ^_^ Lets say you role up on drive thru and it’s time for you to order, and you want a Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal, but all you say is a number 11. You’re just opening yourself up to a bombardment of question; Is that going to be Med or LG? Grilled or Crispy? Will you have a coke to drink with that? Secondly, If you want something special about this burger lets say«add Mac sauce» and you holler«11 meal add Mac». We cant change anything on it until we know the size, and the style of chicken, so maybe try «Can I have a medium number 11 crispy, can you add on the sandwich with a Dr. Pepper to drink» Next, know you’re order. If you pull up and ask for a minute, but then feel bad that you left us hanging on the line for awhile no problem we’d rather have a speedy clean order rather than take an order with a whole bunch of «ums» «well’s» and«uh’s», it’ll speed everyone up to have a faster, happier experience. We don’t make the prices… please don’t argue with us about them. We suffer from them changing as much as you do.(Of course we buy the food is great) And finally if you take one thing TAKETHIS, please do not pull up to the speaker and yell’ «HELLO!!!» Trust my we are inside, know you’re there and you just ruptured our eardrums and we immediately hate you for this. There is an notifier to let us know you are there, much like when you walk into a drug store and here the«ding-doo» we try to answer you ASAP but there are other things that happen in the store, besides taking orders; sweeping, cleaning stocking, baking, boxing pies. Sometimes our hands are full and sometimes they’re wet but we WILL answer just as soon as possible. I have meant this to you in the sweetest of intents. If you find yourself at the store and still aren’t happy find me I’m usually there my names Kris, although everyone calls me Yonce. Tell me your pissed, and unhappy and you just need to let some steam off I’d love it its great for my pours ^_^

McD’s new Build your Burger option stepping it up a notch. Great burger, unlimited free toppings(bacon extra) food brought to your table. Nice presentation and fresh fries. I’m not a big fast food guy, but this was a pleasant fast food dining experience.

McDonald’s has continued to offer the same tried and true food that has kept them afloat for years. Nowadays, personalization has become somewhat of an expectation for many of us and McDonald’s is now looking to appease that side of us. I rarely eat McDonald’s, but with the dawn of the Build Your Burger, I had to try the BYB. Upon entering the restaurant, Shannon, a McDonald’s team member, approached me and went on the journey with me to build my burger. She was super amazing. Once my order was ready, she personally brought it over to me; such a nice gesture. It was the best experience I have ever had at a McDonald’s. While a few dollars more than their Big Mac combo, you’re getting something that does not taste like a plain, average McDonald’s burger which is definitely worth the extra little bit. If you are looking for quality service, keep an eye out for Shannon and Pablo. They are the coolest, most friendliest people I have ever had the opportunity to engage with at a McDonald’s restaurant.

I recently visited your location on 3805 Midway Drive San Diego CA92110. My family and I frequent this restaurant several times weekly as this is my sons favorite place to eat. There is one particular manager in this location by the name of «Cindy». At previous visits — I have witnessed her screaming/talking to the employees in a negative way. I have also heard one employee saying specifically she never wanted to work with her again. ALLEVENTSOCCURREDWHILEWEAREINTHEDRIVETHROUGH. On this visit I have never felt so humiliated in my life as a customer. While waiting on my food i poured the liquids out of a another establishments cup(approx 1 cup of liquid which was melted ice). Cindy came to the window and stated ” Did you just pour something out of your window” I replied — «Yes I just poured out the rest of the liquid in my cup so i can put the new drinks in the cup holder» She stated«great now it will be sticky — thank you« I replied — Excuse me? She never came back to the window and addressed me yet she stood net to the window taking orders. A few minutes later another manager came to the window to give me the drinks. I asked her the persons name and explained what she said to me. The manager was very nice — gave me the rude managers name. At this point«Cindy» comes back to the window and aggressively sticks her head out and says«How would you like it if i came to your house and poured soda on the floor»? I told Cindy to remain in the window and to not talk to me as i only wanted her name– she states«this is my store and if you have a problem talk to me» THISISTHEWORSTEXPERIENCE I HAVEEVERHADIN A RESTAURANT. As far as McDonald’s go, this one is super nice inside. They recently remodeled it, and if I was a student or something I could totally see going here to get some work done and eat some fries. Service is fast and friendly, and the food is consistently McDonaldsy. Satisfies the craving.

The commercials for the new egg white McMuffin stirred enough curiosity in me to stop in and give it a try. Rolled into the local McyD’s ordered, skipped the meal(after all I’m just here to try the sandwich)… «That will be $ 4.09 at the 2nd window» What?!? Yes, what the commercial neglects to mention is that for the same price you have a breakfast MEAL you’ll get a 4 bite sandwich which will leave you still hungry. I will give credit to the fact that it did taste good. The cheese is very tasty & adds great flavor to the egg whites. Not sure it’s any healthier as the ham is the same & there is still butter on the english muffin. Super bummed it’s so over priced. It was good enough I’d have gotten it again. *For size comparison check out the photos I uploaded next to my computer mouse & a quarter. ALERT! I ordered the same egg white sandwich at a McDonald’s in Flagstaff, AZ and it was only $ 2! Either I got ripped off personally or SoCal is ripping us all off!
