Horrible customer service, William and Rita are a nightmare. The worst part are they are the managers. This location is the closest to our home but unfortunately we will be going elsewhere from now on. Today I witnessed a health cleanliness issue that is a deal breaker, totally disgusting we will not be going back here and will be warning all our friends.

Hands down the worst sub I’ve ever had. 12 inch footlong — roast beef. There was a single lawyer of overly processed/​dry/​tasteless roast beef — air sealed bagged lettuce (with that odd preservative taste) dehydrated pickles, and paper thin cheese. $ 9.00 with tax.
I’m astonished that people actually continually go to Subway. Jersey Mikes is better — not great, but do not waste your money at Subway — its pathetic.

I thought drive thru would be more convenient for me since I have 4 sleeping kids in car. Theres only 2 cars in front of me and been stuck in this drive thru for 35 min. Not satisfied with this location drive thru at all. If its understaff than hire more employees. Never coming back again!

Our normal spot is in construction so we come to this one. Customer service here really sucks but it was the closest subway. They run out stuff frequently and don’t bother to replinish. No cookie for my son and Wife likes the half ice tea half lemonade or green tea that they don’t refill. We love subway for the healthy fast meal but this location sucks.

As many others have pointed out, they are unbelievably slow. And it’s not the employees fault, it is the upper management who doesn’t provide them with the proper staffing. There seems to be two people working at a busy ¹²⁄₁ o clock lunch hour. Completely unacceptable to have to wait 20+ min to even order because there is one employee working on a 6 sub order ahead of me. On top of that– out of soup, which makes sense they don’t have enough employees to prep any food that runs out. Shame on the stores general manager.

This has to be the slowest subway I have ever been to, it took ¾ of my lunch hour to order and get 2 sandwiches and to top it off the got my sandwiches wrong not one but both, the only this good about about this place is the cashier was friendly

Probably the worst subway that I’ve ever been to. Extremely slow service, with rude employees.

First come first serve is not applicable here… I came here today on my lunch break at 2:25PM and ordered their 6-​inch $ 2 Cold cut. The sand which came out tasting OK but rating 2 stars because of the lack of customer service. I had 3 ppl behind me get checked out before me and ended up leaving SubWay at 2:36PM. I’m usually in and out within minutes! …wondering what happened today?

This is the worst subway I’ve ever been to in terms of speed. They are SO SLOW! My friend and I joke that this must be the training location for all other subways. The employees jump all over the place. Nothing is done in order.
They do have a drive through which is better.

Wish there was an option for no stars. Worse subway ever. For how SLOW they are, you think they’d at least get the orders right. And talk anout skimping on Veggies!!! I asked for olives on my foot long and probably only had three in the entire sandwich. Dont even give the drive thru a chance. not only will u possibly damage your car, u most likely will get an attitude thru the speaker too. Its like they only hire 5 year olds. Yuck.

This location has a drive thru and I had to try it at least once… I prefer going inside better. Subway and a drive thru just doesnt work. …
Other than that staff seems pretty friendly and the place is clean.

Gives out way less veggies than typical amount, especially on salads. Also, this is one of the subways that think little mayo is extra mayo.
I’ve read all these reviews prior. Just don’t go here. Ever. Lol

I never really had problems with this subway until today. Came in for lunch and the day shift is just all over the place. They need to get an assembly line going to make things run smoother. Having one person take care of one customer consumes too much time. And customer service is just horrible as well. When you usually walk into subway, you hear «welcome to subway» loud, but they say it so quietly and grumpily. If you look at the staff, it really looks like they hate their jobs.
Let me give you an idea on how long it took to get my sandwich. I got my sandwich toasted. Got all my veggies then drove home in 3mins. Started eating my sandwich and it was cold. Not warm, but cold. Oh and by the way I got to subway at 12:12pm left at 12:41pm.

*Granted that everyone has subway at one point or another in their lives, but the customer service and sandwich that I got tonight was the worst I’ve ever had.
My fiancé and I walked in, and we looking at the menu trying to decide what we wanted. This NOT EVEN ginger girl is staring at us unamused. If it was up to me, I would’ve said that she was high. She’s got red or pink hair or whatever color she thinks it is, with super bad acne and a nose piercing. I don’t remember her name, but she isn’t very happy to be at work, and she seems to only be going through the motions because it’s a job.
There was a crew of three girls tonight, and one of the girls only came out from the back to bring out another tub of spinach leaves, because I happened to ask for them. BECKY was the girl who was making my sandwich (need I also mention that when I walked in, she was screaming a Bruno Mars song instead of greeting me as a customer.)
The vegetable counter wasn’t even stocked properly, and they took just about 5 minutes to look for the spinach. I proceeded to ask for my normal vegetables, while watching her just fling them onto my sandwich. (Thanks dude, seriously.) I asked for mayonnaise, which was fine, but then I asked for oil and vinegar. There was no more oil, so she went into the back to get another bottle, without checking the fridge behind her. The pink head girl checks the fridge because SHE was looking for mayo, and then pulls out a bottle of oil and puts some on my sandwich thinking that she was doing Becky a favor. Becky comes back out to the counter and puts more oil on my sandwich even though I said that that other stupid girl already put some. AFTER the fact that she put WAY more oil than I even wanted, Becky and the pink head girl started ARGUING about how she didn’t look in the fridge and then arguing, and then ARGUING ABOUT ARGUING. For the sake of being somewhat nice, I think the pink head is named Lindsay from a past review.
The worst customer service I’ve ever had. My past experiences at this Subway have also sucked, but not as bad as this one. I believe another Unilocal’er called this Subway «challenged.» I would rather go to El Pollo Loco next door. If you’re going to go to a Subway in Mira Mesa, just take the extra 5 minutes and go to the one near H-​Mart. The staff there is WAY friendlier, much more professional, and they don’t skimp on your veggies.
Avoid this place at all costs, forreal.

I love this place and try to frequent it as much as possible during my lunch break, they are fast, friendly and Super cool and actually remember you! Red Head Lindsay there is a treat for your eyes during your lunchtime adventure!

Worst subway ever due to staff. They’re not friendly and so slow When you ask for extra veggies, they don’t give it to you or like add one more piece of veggie on there. Sometimes they don’t have all the ingredients either. lesigh

Of all the subways on mira mesa, this is distinctly the worst one of them all. Service is slow, sometimes you can’t even get all the veggies, and the servers just wont give you anything. Just drive the extra minute to go to the H-​Mart plaza subway or the Camino Santa Fe food court Subway.

Went there at 7:30 PM on August 19, 2012 to order a sandwich for my daughter. One person was on duty, a young female. She was doing some cleaning up of the counter and told me to wait a few minutes. Okay, I know sanitation is important, but she had a rude demeanor which continued all through the order. The attendant projected an attitude of not wanting to serve the public and seemed very unhappy. I had to repeat the specifics of the order, ingredients on one 6 inch sub, several times. I even showed her the text sent by my daughter with all the specifics. The attendant claimed she could not read it all. When I left, she did not even offer a thank you.
I like Subway and my family has been going there for decades, but I will never visit this particular store again even though it is close to my house.

It’s a subway so I’m not going to go into the details on your bread, protein, veggie, and condiment choices here. Wait, maybe I just did…
Anyway the real story here is that this subway has a drive thru. As any parent can tell you, a drive thru can be a godsend. You don’t need to remove sleeping (eg, quiet) children from the car.
The drive thru is a little weird here, with sort of a hair pin turn to get from the speaker to the pick up window. It’s all worth it to get a $ 5 foot long thing in your mouth. ;)
