Of course your Unilocal shows that you’re closed when you’re actually open charging kids $ 5 a piece to walk into your crappy bar to watch their family/friend band play, then charge them $ 17 for a pbr in a plastic cup, Pepsi, and a shot of rum, and not have clean bathrooms or adequate lighting for your bands. One guess: a cheap Persian guy with a puppy owns this place. Make it a real bar and ditch the cover and lower your drink prices so people can actually come and enjoy themselves, then we’ll not talk trash about your hole in the wall venue.

Great place to relax with a drink on the patio, they have great happy hour specials like a hams or Olympia with a shot of Jamison for 5 $! The bartenders are always friendly and have some really fun recipes for drinks. I can’t wait to go back, the kinda place you can take a date or your patents!

The are open on Sundays FYI and do bottomless mimosas with fresh squeezed juice till 3pm. Currently drinking a pear cider because Sunday and wanted to start light and refreshing. They have an outdoor patio and allow smoking for those of you who smoke.

I’ve been here TWICE at night to see the local performers who are trying to make it up in the world by doing what they love; music. There’s 2 sides and I’ve been in both areas. The area on the right is a bit bigger and has more seating. The last time I was here, I was on the big area side. I arrived at about 9:30pm to see my friend preform. He was supposed to go on at 11pm, but they kept pushing him back. We still to this day have NO idea why. He was there since 7pm(for sound check I believe) and they didn’t let him preform until just after 1am. Ridiculous! This bar had me and 10 others of our group waiting, bored, for HOURS! Now, let me get to the bar tender. She looked like someone they just randomly pulled off the street. She looked like she did NOT want to be there. She never smiled. She had a crappy demeanor every time I came to the bar. She never acknowledged me(I had to get another employee to get her attention for me). Maybe it was because I wasn’t ordering alcohol? I was just ordering cokes and waters(I was driving and really didn’t expect to be there so many hours). Now, the bathrooms are the WORST! I have no idea why they haven’t fixed the sinks! The water that comes out of them is BURNING hot! You literally can not wash your hands it’s so hot. There’s no other option to make it cooler. The water also spills over extremely easily that about an hour after opening, the floor is covered in water and nearly flooded. It’s disgusting. Absolutely horrible. If my friend wants to continue to preform here, I will not be coming back. You couldn’t pay me to come here. STAYAWAY!!!

I don’t go to San Jose very often, but next time I do I’m stopping by this place again. Friendly bartenders, good drinks, and a smoking area in the back. The venue itself is small, but cozy and welcoming. The music tends towards heavy metal, and most of the dudes in here have beards and stuff. Despite that, it’s real laid back. Great place to grab a drink on a lazy afternoon. At some point I’d like to check it out at night.

The place to go when you’re hitting a punk rock show across the street! Cheap drinks, loud jukebox blasting hardcore, cool bartenders that can pour a drink, and good locals! Clean bathrooms, a back patio for smoking… I’m a fan of the Back Bar! See ya there next show!

Recently seen a «metalachi» show in the patio section side entrance whatever u call it. The inside was an odd layout! U walk in from the street to a patio set up with fire pits and seating kinda. Pop up bar for simple drinks on the side. Then walk into a club like room with a full bar and not to shabby stage. The place wasn’t too bad if it wasn’t for the more then average douche bags including the women here! I’ve been to plenty of shows where people know there place! But on this night, overly drunk pricks making to much noise, 80% of the women were Cougars all wearing the bands shirt, idiots thinking for some reason it’s cool to squeeze in front of other people smaller then them and wiggle around so u can give THEM room! Yes I felt like throwing a punch to the back of people’s heads or and elbow to the heckler behind me?! But it was just 1 night! Just 1 that I’m at this venue!

Started coming here a few months ago. Decent beer selection, friendly bartenders, nice patio, never too crowded. I especially like a certain bartender whose name I can’t ever remember, she always remembers me and my drink.

Had drinks here a couple of times while shows we’re going on at the rock shop, drinks aren’t anything to write home about but being across the street it was convenient.

Super stoked about bottomless mimosas on Sunday! I always enjoy a place with an outdoor patio. It’s close enough to my house to ride my bike there, and they let me park my bike inside, which is cool. The bartenders are fun to hang out with, too.

The overall vibe here is very laid back and comfortable. The best thing about this place is their choice in music. A great place to hang out either before or after visiting the Rock Shop.

Super good spot for a nice drink with friends. Across the street from the Rock shop complex, a great place to have a drink between shows. There’s anice patio out outback to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Hamm’s and other good beers available for your enjoyment, all the other hard stuff too.
