A regrettable experience. Juan, the guy behind the cashier was very rude. The food here is comparable to canned food. This place needs to be cleaned inside out. Their plates and utensils appear unsanitary just as their tables. I used to love this place when I was a kid but this will be my last visit, specifically at this location.

Pros: Other than some nice staff people, nothing. Cons: Very dirty place.(Check out the drinks station and pay extra attention to the milk dispenser) Food had been sitting out for quite a awhile and we were there at 5:15. Every thing was so dry and pathetic. Honest. Green beans were two different shades of green because the new and old had been mixed together. Fried chicken looked like fried jerky. Staff was friendly but noticed that they were getting drinks walking around with a cup in hand(?). We paid 30.00 dollars to eat here?! I wanted to say something but decided to just quickly slide out the dirty glass door never to return.

The food here is not that good actually… it is always dirty the floors and they always mix up foods which is gross the seats are very old, talk about dirty and smelly bathrooms, not a good place to go eat with your family

It’s been awhile since we ate here, the only thing good was the fountain drink, I would not go back, this place has gone downhill.

This location is pure disgusting. Kids running all over the place dropping food on the floor and sticking fingers into desserts and touching foods. Roaches running along the lining of the walls. It is nasty. My girlfriend got food poisoning from this location. We will not be returning here!

We went to HomeTown Buffet with my family for my younger son’s birthday. We registered just several hours before that on their website in order to get a free lunch for my birthday boy(cheap bastards I know :) When talking to the cashier and the manager they just explained that it takes time and I’m not in the system yet. When we were ready to pay for everybody they gave us a free lunch for my guy. The manager name was Sandra very beautiful and kind lady. My elder son used to work for HT Buffet long time ago and we just found out that the quality of the food became much better since then. Thank you guys for making Martin’s birthday spacial !!!

Pretty crappy quality food here to be honest. I’ve never eaten at a Hometown Buffet aside from this one time and I don’t think I’ll be returning. It’s probably easier to tell you what I did like… the salad. Everything else just tasted like cafeteria food. Bland, overcooked, and barely warm. The restaurant isn’t very clean inside either. It’s fairly noticeable if you just take a quick look around, especially the dirt floors and counters. The only thing this place has going for it is pricing(good for a buffet) and it’s a good place for big groups or large families(plenty of seating). That’s about it though. If you’re thinking of eating at a buffet, this is just not the place.

Worst place to eat ever! Food was horrible and the environment looked dirty. Wasn’t able to even eat anything. Overall disgusting place to eat. I regret spending my money here.

Needed to get my dad out for some family time. We all haven’t been to Hometown for awhile. I wasn’t looking forward to it all that much. The last experience at a different Hometown was disappointing. That’s saying a lot, I don’t expect too much for Hometown. Crazy, busy shopping center. The Hometown is tucked away in the back. We got there about 1230, prime time. Wasn’t too busy. $ 49 for 3 adults &1 senior. Not too bad. Let’s see what we get. At any AYCE place, I get a plate with a little of everything that I want to try. Then I go back for what was good. The taco bar looked good, no taco meat. I got orange chicken, kielbasa, mac & cheese, and chicken nuggets. I sat so a could see when the taco meat came out. I wasn’t the only person waiting! When the meat was brought out, there was a rush! I got 2 hard-shell tacos with cheese, onions, sour cream, salsa fresca, and cilantro. The chicken nuggets were real chicken nuggets! Not like McDonald’s or Burger King. They are very good. Would have been nice to have some BBQ sauce to dip them in. The kielbasa was very good, cooked in a little BBQ sauce. I used the sauce for the nuggets. Orange chicken was also very good. Mac & cheese, don’t bother! Not even as good as the stuff out of a box. Thin sauce with no flavor. I didn’t try the fried chicken, but La Diabla said it was very good. Vanilla wafer pudding, very good! Great drink selection. Dishes promptly cleared. For about $ 10/person, great value! Horchata and Icees? Really? Nice!

Just came back here after a good long while and I was pretty content. The only thing thy can work on is cleanliness especially at the nice cream machine, good Lord! Ice cream everywhere all over the floor! But it seems to still be the family spot in this neighborhood and I rather enjoyed my meal. Just American comfort food right after church! Yum! Hehe I don’t think they should have 2 stars, but like I said, could use some improvement. Btw we loved the chicken pot pie :)

Coming back after like, 12 years of never going here, I didn’t know if my love for this place was due to undeveloped taste buds. But damn, everything still tastes good! It’s the cheapest buffet you can get considering there are always coupons going around. I guess most people only leave reviews of big chain restaurants if they had a horrible experience, but whatever. That’s just the way it is. I guess maaaaybe the servers could be more attentive? But it’s a buffet, it’s like that at almost every buffet. Everybody working was very polite anyway. Only even writing this review cause all of the htb’s have a two star review. I really don’t think they deserve that.

This place should be at least 3 stars so I’ll five star it so there can be balance: D. Food is decent. I come for the roast beef and the salad bar. They serve steak sometimes too and that’s a bonus! The steak has good flavor but it is a bit chewy. A great place if you like quantity over quality. I try getting some friends to join me but they refuse… Picky eaters man –_– smh. Come visit, eat a couple of plates and enjoy the gainz!

Although I was warned about this place beforehand, I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a try anyway. I am regretting that choice now, as I sit home with an upset stomach and a headache. This was probably one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. First of all, there were no cups at the drink station. When I asked if someone could bring more cups, they said they were being washed. There were coffee cups, but some of them were dirty, and there was no coffee. I tried getting iced tea out of the iced tea container but it was just flavorless cold water. The drink machines were not clean. Also, there were no dinner plates, only dripping wet salad plates, and a lot of them had old food stuck to them. The floors were dirty, with smashed cookies, napkins, and crumbs everywhere. The windows and glass doors had hand prints and smudges on them. By the dessert bar, there were sprinkles and sticky syrup on the floor. Instead of cleaning it up, they had a yellow caution sign there to keep you from walking through it. The bathroom smelled really bad, and there was graffiti on the walls and trash can. The salad bar wasn’t labeled, we didn’t know which salad dressing was which. The mushrooms were frozen. The eggs and the cheese tasted prefabricated. The dinner bar was sparse, and left much to be desired. Yet again, no labels, you just had to guess what it was. I got some kind of sausage, that was swimming in BBQ sauce? There were potato toppings, but no potatoes. We tried the pot roast, but it lacked flavor. Everything tasted canned, and some of the food was cold. I thought about trying the chicken, but it looked overcooked and dry. The french fries were hard and saturated in grease. Nothing tasted appetizing, so we mostly ate salad and then we tried the desserts. The desserts were not good. We tried several things, but were left disappointed. The banana pudding had old black bananas in it. The cheesecake was instant, and came on a plate with dirty brown smudges on it. We were afraid of trying the ice cream bar, because it didn’t look clean and there were unsupervised children surrounding it. At this point, we were ready to run out of there. I thought about asking for a full refund, but when I looked at the long line of people waiting at the register, I decided it wasn’t worth my time. I took it as a learning lesson, and I’ll never go back there again. I am honestly surprised that this restaurant hasn’t been shut down because of how dirty it was. You’ve been forewarned!

This place isn’t that bad. Sure the food isn’t the best out there but I mean it’s a cheap get full buffet. It still manages to provide grilled/fried chicken, ham, steak, tacos, pizza, fried calamari/tenders, dessert such as ice cream and the place is pretty spacious. Ranges around $ 11 – 12 a person but I managed to use a coupon for a buy one get one free coupon. Ended up being 7 $ total a person which is a banger deal. Recommended for a quick and full bite.

If you’re looking for the best canned food buffet you’ve ever had in your life, come to HomeTown Buffet. If you want reminisce those childhood memories when you ransacked the dessert bar and hung off the ice cream machine too long causing a toilet dump of dairy on the floor, come to HomeTown Buffet. If you’re looking to eat the most depressing meal of your life, you’re probably here not as a child any more. I’m glad none of this has changed. Nothing has improved but nothing became worse over time either. Stick to the taco bar and the savory, cheap ground beef if you’re serious about having a decent meal.

I didn’t know I could be so disappointed even with low expectations. Clearly I was dragged here with family. Walk in and it was seat yourself style, with a big party and the place was near packed. The floors… Splenda packets, napkins, crumbs and more ALL over the floor. Grabbed a drink and waited a deceny while before they refilled the straws(sorry but it was dirty and I was not about to drink straight from the cup.) Grabbed a salad and nothing was labeled(in the salad bar or anywhere else) and I would really like to know what dressing I’m about to drizzle on my salad, and every dressing had croutons floating in it. Wanted some warm food and waited another decent moment for a plate. Had the fish(cod? tilapia? It was white) and it had the same texture as plastic. I don’t even know how someone can cook the flavor out of sweet potatoes(were they? They weren’t labeled.) The place was a bit of a zoo. In fact, I’m still sitting here as I write this. They have decent cornbread, that mighy be a plus?

It was a family dinner night and we gave HomeTown buffet a try. Since they sent me a B-Day coupon in e-mail it was a nice deal for a free dinner. We came in on a Wednesday night and around 5pm and there was not much of a crowd. We walked up the the cashier and he greeted us. He was pretty new because he didn’t really know how to ring us up or how to use the coupon. Somebody came up and helped him out. We seated ourselves and started getting all our food. The selection was decent for the price. There was a carving station and the steak was pretty decent. The salad bar was only so so, but I managed to scoop up a plate of salad. The kids and family enjoyed a few dishes, but of course dessert was their favorite.
