Love this place! Service was fast and courteous. I got the regular poke bowl which comes with three scoops of fish of your choice and included the half brown rice and half salad option. I went with ahi tuna, salmon and octopus. I love how they mix in the spicy mayo and the other sauces right in front of you. Now that’s fresh! What wasn’t so hot looking was the spicy tuna… After you pick your fish, the next station is the garnish station where you have the option of adding avocado,(imitation) crab salad, green onions, sesame seeds, etc. An extra option is the seaweed salad for an extra $ 1.50 and it’s a very generous scoop. You end up with a bowl full of different textures and flavors, but it all worked quite well together. Think of it as a deconstructed sushi roll. My only semi-gripe is that there’s no separate checkout line if you want to go back and just get a macaron ice cream sandwich. Do you go to the end of the line? Or do you just go up to the cash register as others in line give you the stink eye?! We had the purple ube macaron ice cream sandwich and it was delicious! Not too sweet. Will definitely come back for my poke fix. The line can get pretty long during peak hours.

Fresh ingredients!!! This will be the next Chipotle of the Hawaiian California Cuisine! I felt such a bargain getting lots of fresh raw fish for such a low price. Great people working and good services.

My first time getting a POKE bowl… was at POKIBOWL, how fitting. And I was addicted! I love how fresh all the ingredients are and most of all, they have avocado for FREE. Every since I tasted the first bowl, I’ve been on a mission to find the best bowl ever! So far, only the Poki house has been comparable! Definitely worth to get a bowl if you’re in the area!

I’ve been here at least 7 or 8 times, and this might be unusual to say but. The female employees run this restaurant 100x better than the male ones do. Lol. The boys in the«assembly line» are just sloppy, moody, and the worst part — they are SO slow and unorganized. It could also be a staffing issue, at one point there were at least 10 people behind the counter with 4 of them not knowing what to do. Sorry, the food: decent portions and they don’t charge extra for avo. Sweeeet. Ain’t gotta do my «I know it’s extra, chipotle bit in my head». I always get half salad and half brown rice as my base, because sometimes the salad is not as filling by itself. Finally, the fish is okay. Spicy tuna always looks weird, so I don’t touch it. Safe bet for me is salmon and regular tuna. Parking is hard on the weekends.(Ty boiling crab & halal guys). Try parking behind the restaurant by Ulta, and there’s a middle walkway to get to the restaurant.

I live closer to Almaden but forget the Poki Bowl on Almaden, just go to this location on Curtner … PERIOD. No charge for alot of the extra toppings unlike the Almaden location. Only extra charge for the toppings is the seaweed. Pretty generous with the serving size as well.

I love the idea of this place! Customize your own ingredients for your poki bowl. The regular is 3 scoops of fish($ 9.50) and the large is 4 scoops($ 10.50). You then pick a base(sushi rice, brown rice, chips, or greens). I got sushi rice which I thought mixed really well with the rest of the ingredients. Then you can add scoops of different types of fish(spicy tuna, salmon, ahi tuna, yellowtail, octopus, or shrimp). I was a huge fan of the salmon but it was nice getting a variety in my bowl. They also give you the option to add cucumber or onion. Lastly you pick your sauce and toppings. I really enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce. I just wish I had asked for even more! I got seaweed salad added for an extra $ 1.50 which I thought was definitely worth it.

LOVE! Came here on a Saturday night almost closing time and the line is still out the door. I love the many choices in rice and different scoops of fish and many free toppings. The sauce is amazing and the fishes are fresh. The small size is pretty big if you mix them up in a bigger bowl. At first i was hesitant to choose the regular size since the bowl looked pretty small to me but i chose it anyway. I put the food out in a bigger bowl when i get home to mix them up and turn out its pretty big portion. They have the Maveraven macaroon ice cream with many different flavors too. Theyre yummy and perfect for summer weather. Most importantly they helps wash out the fish taste after lol

I don’t live in SJ anymore but if I did… oh boy, I know I’d be here often. I’m so happy they expanded to another location because their Almaden one was pretty far from my old apartment and also not as easy to get to. IMO, it’s the perfect location seeing as there’s always a lot of people trying to go to Boiling Crab and everyone else coming for the newly opened Halal Guys so there’s sure to be lots of foot traffic in the area. Not much else to say about the food that I haven’t already said in my other review. The one other plus besides the location is that there’s actual seating inside! There’s the option for indoor or outdoor seating, whereas at the Almaden one you’re essentially forced to eat outside… or in your car. Also the wait wasn’t as slow as it was at the other location, but then again it could be because there are now a million other places to get your poke fix. Overall, this is a much welcomed addition to the area. Still hoping that they expand to my side of the bay soon enough!

This place is delicious ass phxck. Portion are well. It was my first time and so far so good. I hope they don’t change their customer service and the serving portions. I love all the spicy sauces they include in your bowl. The rice are cooked just right. I recommend it, especially if you don’t like your poke bowl to have extra greens. It’s customized to your liking! I love it!

Yay another Poki Bowl has opened! And this time right down the street from my house! With indoor seating!(Although on a nice day, the seating area outside in the center of the plaza is just as nice) Same format as the original poki bowl on Almaden but less chaotic and claustrophobic. The regular portion with green salad filled me up pretty nicely. One thing i really like is that their menu is simple and not too overwhelming and confusing as other poki places that have a million of sauces to choose from.

Poki bowl was alright. What I like is they offer the chips options which a lot of other poki places don’t have, but quality of the fish was just ok. If you like your bowl very spicy, this may be the place to go because they add spicy oil to the bowl. But I think they need to clean their bathroom better. Originally we were sitting at the last table near the bathroom, and it stinks so bad that we have to move outside. Even when we went outside, we can still smell some kind of bad smell…

This is the second time I’ve been here. The first time we came we were new and the staff there were not helpful or friendly at all. The guy that served us didn’t really explain everything and just barked what I wanted. His attitude seemed annoyed that I had to think a bit about what I wanted. I ended up getting half salad, half sushi rice with 2 scoops salmon and 1 scoop yellowtail at medium spicy. I had everything added except onions and wasabi. The regular bowl was more than enough for me. It was tasty, seemed fresh, and wanted to come back. The salad was the only thing I would’ve changed. We also ordered one of their ice cream sandwiches for our daughter. Unfortunately, they don’t have any high chairs there. I understand that it’s probably not a place for kids to eat, but they should accommodate everyone at least. The 2nd time around I got all sushi rice and it was so much tastier. The service was still crappy. You know, I guess that’s what you get when you have all these young kids that are probably in high school working there. They should really get some training for customer service. Anywho. I like the food, I’ll be back again especially on another hot day. 1 star docked for service.

Curtner Ave is the newer store located in the hub of The Plant Shopping Center. This area is more fitting for Poki Bowl as it is located near other eateries as well as major stores such as Target that hungry food goers can easily access without having to feel like they are going out of their way. The building itself is much bigger with seating inside this time and more seating outside. The layout makes it easy to get in and out of the store with a more food bar like setting like Chipotle. Food as usual is superb as the other location.

I came here around 12PM& the line was almost out the door! This place gets crowded just as the other location does but this one is fortunately much bigger. There is seating inside and outside(with umbrellas). I like this location better because it’s next to a bunch of other convenient shops and there is more parking. The options are the same in this location(~$ 10 for a regular sized bowl, comes with sushi rice, brown rice, mixed greens or ½ and ½), choice of 3 scoops of protein(shrimp, octopus, spicy tuna, tuna, albacore or yellowtail), sauce options(miso or spicy mayo, Rooster sauce, or all), sesame seeds, seaweed salad(extra charge, avocado, ginger, wasabi, imitation crab mix, cucumber and onion. I love how savory and filling these bowls are. A regular size is more than enough to fill me up. I also love how they offer sauces @ different levels of spiciness. They need to open 1 of these in Denver! For dessert they serve macaron ice cream sandwiches in the freezer(not as good as the 1’s @ Van’s Bakery because the macaron cookie part is frozen already so the texture changes).

I’ve eaten at the Poki Bowl on Almaden multiple times, but today was my first visit to the new location. Parking at The Plant is usually a nightmare, but I lucked out and got rock star parking. Yay! Big plus for this location is the size. They actually have space for a handful of tables. Even though I met my friend at 12:30, there was NO line! Everytime I’ve been to the Almaden location, the wait has been out the door. Maybe the poke craze has reached its saturation point? I don’t know, but it sure was nice to have some elbow room for a change. The staff was patient as I explained the whole process to my poke bar newbie friend. She thought it was a fun concept and would definitely come back. I actually had poke yesterday at another company, and I must say, Poki Bowl definitely has better quality fish and crab salad. At Poki Bowl, avocado and crab salad are included in the price of a regular bow. I think the scoops might be a little smaller, but I’ll take the higher quality, thank you very much.

First time I tried poki bowl, I’ve been looking forward to trying it since I’ve seen the pics. I ordered the regular bowl with mixed greens, octopus, shrimp, and everything on it. I really couldn’t even taste the poki sauce when eating the bowl, the whole thing just tasted kind of like sesame oil. Not that impressed. I also like seaweed salad in general but there’s really no point in getting it with the bowl. Now I don’t know if it’s because I just got mixed greens that I’m not that impressed with the flavor, I’ll probably try it with rice or half and half it next time but I’m really just eh about the whole thing

This is the same owners as the one on Almaden, but with a couple differences. They serve tortilla chips here, albacore tuna and they have a lot more seating, including indoor seating. Poki Bowl is now one of my go-to spots. The rice is excellent, the fish is fresh, the flavor is amazing. There are a lot of poke spots in the South Bay now, but I think Poki Bowl blows them all away.

The Plant, back at it again with good stuff. Another Poki Bowl! And one that actually has a good amount of space inside unlike the one on Almaden. I personally prefer this one for that reason cause you don’t feel so cramped. I felt like my poki bowl here was a lot more enjoyable than the one on Almaden. I recommend doing half and half with the rice and the salad, because they don’t skimp out on either one so I felt like I got the same amount that I would’ve if I ordered just one. The fish itself probably isn’t the best quality, but it’s definitely sufficient. I go with the tuna and salmon. There are so many ways to personalize your bowl and flavors will explode left and right in your mouth.

I never knew I could like poke! My boyfriend’s sister bought me a bowl to go. I told her to order whatever for me, just no ginger. I ended up with ahi tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. Sushi rice. Green onions. Imitation crab. The sauces they have are sooo good! I need to check out the restaurant myself to see the other options. The smaller size was more than enough for me.

Poke is the affordable way of getting your raw fish fix without having to spend $$$ on fine japanese dining. Lately, these poke bowl shops have been popping out like craaazzy! I’ve been meaning to try at least one place and recently finally had the free time to check this place out. The set up of the shop is simple: it’s an assembly line. You start off with choosing your base: sushi rice, brown rice, salad, or half & half. Next, you pick your fishies! Depending on the size you get, you get to choose the number of scoops of fish. For regular, you can get 3 scoops. For large, you get 4. Don’t be overwhelmed be the word«scoop,» their scoop is tiny. I chose the large bowl. sushi rice. 3 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of yellowtail. All toppings except wasabi and green onion. Pretty affordable. If only there was a location closer to home. Will drop by for raw fish fix!

With all these poké places popping up… i conjured a pros and cons list. Here it is: Pros, or What makes PB unique in its own right — 1. cheaper. $ 9.50 for regular(3 scoops) and $ 10.95 for large(4 scoops) 2. they offer tortilla chips as a base… other than sushi rice, brown rice, and greens(poké bar does the same too, though) 3. no extra charge for masago eggs Cons, or What makes this place go down in comparison with others — 1. they charge extra for their ocean salad a.k.a that weird looking but great tasting seaweed stuff 2. they mash their avocados and charge extra for it too. So yea, four solid stars for this place. I’m also glad that they hired more people and that the line during the lunch rush goes by much quickly now.

Not bad at all Poki Bowl, not bad at all. I love all the choices they offer here, since most of these reviews already give you a lay out of what exactly Poki Bowl is, I’ll just write about my bowl & experience. I got the half/half — half brown rice, half mixed greens I got the large bowl(4 scoops of fish) — double the salmon, ahi tuna & spicy tuna. I pretty much said«yes», to everything & made it spicy. — big mistake. It was way too spicy for my palette & trust me when I say, I like spicy & can handle the heat. The macaron ice creams are super good! Overall definitely coming back!

Yum! A poki bowl right next to my place :) I’m glad that The Plant is finally getting GOOD food businesses to open up. Never been to a poke place like this? It’s simple! Step 1: Regular(3 scoops of fish) $ 9.50 Large(4 scoop of fish) $ 10.50 Sushi rice Brown rice Mixed greens Chips Half & half of your choice Step 2: Spicy tuna Salmon Ahi tuna Yellowtail Albacore Octopus Shrimp Cucumber Onions (They will then ask if you want Sriracha or spicy mayo to mix with the step 2 ingredients) Step 3: Spicy Mild Non-spicy (Spicy means more chili oil) Step 4: Avocado Crab Green onion Masago eggs Ginger Wasabi Seaweed salad(+$ 1.50) Then they’ll ask if you want poki spicy sauce or miso dressing, sesame seeds or dried seaweed mix. I usually like spicy tuna rolls but spicy tuna here seems kinda odd, it looks like a sweet potato mash but don’t be fooled cause it’s pretty darn spicy! I think it’s interesting that they added chips as an option for your base. I prefer all mixed greens but hey, whatever floats your boat! The fish is fresh and staff is friendly. I can definitely see myself here as a regular! I like that there’s more seating inside this location but it will definitely fill up during peak hours. During the summer it will be perfect to order take out and eat outside by the grass! Welcome to the hood, Poki Bowl! :)

I’m officially addicted to Poki Bowl! Thanks for opening a location, relatively closer to my house. This is my usual — Regular bowl with brown rice and 1 scoop of octopus, 1 scoop of shrimp &1 scoop of spicy tuna. I add cucumbers and onions and make it spicy spicy. For toppings, I add avocados, imitation crab, fish eggs & green onions. Like it topped with spicy mayo and some sesame seeds. It is normally very crowded, no matter what time of the day you are here. Next time around, I’ll try one of their ice-creams. But this is one of those places I’ll keep coming back again & again & again.

4.5−5STAR. Poki Bowl is an awesome new addition to the Plant — if you want to get chunks of sashimi w/sushi rice, veggies, spicy mayo, ginger, and wasabi for a very reasonable price, you need to visit Poki Bowl ASAP! My wife and I love it here, and highly recommend it to anyone reading this review. My wife had visited the location off of Almaden Rd multiple times, and saw that this Poki Bowl was opening soon. I went on opening day and wanted to see what the hype was about. It turns out my wife was dead serious about how this is an awesome find! For $ 9.50, you can get a regular sized bowl or for just $ 1.45 more, you can get the large. The difference between the 2 sizes is that you get to add an extra scoop of fish with the large size(4 scoops versus 3). I got the large and the first thing you choose is sushi/white rice or brown rice(or salad mix). Then, in a different metal bowl, I chose the following 4 options for my fish: salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and octopus. There are a few other options too including spicy tuna, albacore, and shrimp. I like the mix of the 4 that I chose. Once you have your fish, they ask if you want to include onions and sliced cucumber — definitely say yes! I asked for medium spice, and they added the house sauces to make it spicier and there was one person responsible for mixing it all together in the metal bowl. They then add the mixture on top of your rice. Now it gets fun: they add a scoop of avocado, crab meat, masago eggs, green onion, sliced ginger, and wasabi. Any of these options come with the regular or large, and you can exclude any you don’t like. They can add extra spicy mayo, sesame seeds, etc. at the end too. It’s a generous portion for the amount you pay, and it’s definitely a filling meal. We have already gone a few times since they opened this location just a few weekends ago. In fact, writing this review makes me want to go grab a bowl right now… be back in a few! :P

Came here twice already, and the first time I was too excited I forgot to take a picture of my bowl! I’m pretty impressed with this Poki Bowl on Curtner, but both are equally delicious! I think there just needs to be a little tweaking to the customer service for the one at the Plant(yeah, yeah they’re new boohoo). This time I got: Large(4 scoops) Sushi rice** 2 scoops tuna 2 scoops yellowtail Mild Everything on it except for seaweed salad(an extra $ 1.50 charge) **Note: The girl scooping the rice for me was a little inconsistent with her scooping… I noticed that for the two customers in front of me she was highly anal on how much rice was in each bowl. She would take a scoop in and then section off little bits to put back in the rice cooker bowl thing. For some reason with me, she asked if I wanted more rice(?) and actually gave me a whole bunch. I really liked that one of the guys handling my bowl transferred my typical rice bowl to one of the salad bowls since it couldn’t fit. Niceee Would definitely be back since it’s the closest poke place to Campbell(that isn’t Pacific Catch $$$). Poki Bowl is a definite great addition to the Plant shopping center.

It’s here, it’s here! It’s finally here! About 5 minutes away from my boyfriend’s place, I know this is going to be our go to location. The place is bigger than the original location, which is awesome! They have more options, including a chips base, albacore, and seaweed salad. Otherwise, everything is pretty familiar. The restaurant actually has space for indoor seating. They also have outdoor seating spots that are spaced out and with better quality furniture than the original location. Ingredient quality is great. Service is friendly. The only downside is that the plaza can get super crowded parking-wise. But it is a big plaza, so that’s not even an issue. Overall, this is the same Poki Bowl I know and love. It just has so much more to love. I’m looking forward to this business’ continued expansion.
