Wow, this place is amazing. Home made tortillas, extra meat, and as much condiments that you want is packed in this little stand across the street from Pink Elephant. The people here are super nice and there is always someone enjoying a scrumptious taco from this truck. Definitely the place to go to when you want a taco.

Ditto everything in the previous raving review! Love it! I live nearby but would drive here if I didn’t! Not sure what days/hours they are open. I’ve only come on weekends, late night usually. It’s a fairly popular truck, so you may have to wait a bit. But usually someone has their stereo on while the rest of their group waits in the car for their to go order. And there are a few seats… just don’t pull one over to the table. It’s a no-no! Now, here’s the thing… their tortillas are freshly made, and are thicker than the packaged kind. Even after you put salsa, beans, and the works — your ratio of tortilla to filling is still gonna be roughly 50⁄50. It’s not a mistake… it’s the way they meant to make ‘em. Just enjoy it… don’t compare it! The warm, moist tortilla more than makes up for any down side to it! Honestly, if you’re anywhere nearby I recommend passing by to see if you might find them open.

I feel I may get shot for posting this to the world and letting everyone in on this hidden treasure taco truck as I’m sure that all the patrons are locals who live in that neighborhood and don’t want the lines to get any longer. So here goes… This truly is the best taco truck, bold statement, I know, but it truly is. It is located on the corner of King Road and Virginia Avenue in an abandoned car lot. No matter what time of day I always see a group of people eating or in line as I drive by. I don’t know the name of it yet because I went at night and couldn’t see the name listed anywhere. I finally have been honored to try their tacos for the very first time. We ordered eleven tacos. The tortillas are made with fresh white corn masa(not premade, like the other taquerias). They have a condiment table which humbly holds 4 – 5 different types of agua frescas, pinto beans, 3 salsas, chopped cilantro, sour cream, radishes, onions, limes, and guacamole. After your order is up, you walk around the table and stuff the tacos with your choice of salsas & condiments-like a buffet. There is a sign written in Spanish that says«please do not eat on the tables and please do not refill your agua fresca, if you do pay $ 1 more». Just in case anyone is Spanish illiterate like me. If you want to order your food to-go let them know so they put them in to-go boxes instead of paper plates and there are plastic to-go ramekins next to the sodas. There are a few chairs to sit and eat but no tables SO I recommend getting your food to-go and eating in the car. The reason I think this taco truck is so unique and a cut above the rest is due to the quality and the selection of the menu. There are the normal carnitas, carne asada, camarones, pollo, barbacoa, pescado, and more. However the unique ones are the intestines and brain. It’s written in spanish so I don’t know the words but my friends swear that they are the best. We ate the tacos at home and they came with whole roasted jalapeño peppers(not pickled, like the average taquerias) on the side. The Al Pastor(Pork marinated in Adobo) was juicy, tender, PERFECTLY spiced and the handmade white corn tortillas were soft and slightly sweet. It wasn’t the brains or intestines but it tasted like a delicacy that only kings or emperors would get to eat. The carnitas and the carne asada were just as moist and tender. Taquerias sometimes overdose the meats with salt or overcooks the meats, this one doesn’t, all the meats are perfectly flavored and succulent. My friends say these tacos are expensive(compared to.?). I guesstimate that they are $ 2-$ 3 each. Well, expensive/cheap they are well worth the price. The 3 taquerias on King Road right across from this taco truck GOTNOTHIN on this self made eatery. THEYGOTNOTHIN! Better than Dia de Pesca(41⁄2 stars) in San Jose. I will update with pictures on my next trip.
