Really good place they give you a good amount of ranch, they’re fast. Have to say it’s my new favorite place for a burger and I don’t usually have a favorite burger place in the bay so I’m definitely satisfied here! They’re milkshakes taste amazing and not too thick like other places, really good quality ingredients cooked to order you can see that it ISN’T THAT hard as brick patties or frozen chicken, its REAL chicken and beef on a flame grill whick is awesomeness! Fries has nice crisp to them and taste so good and freshly made, the veggies and buns on the burger so good nothing bad to say oh! Customer service is good too! Very nice, very friendly and helpful the place is perfect to eat at also! They have nice outdoor seating too drinks are really good also they have a strawberry fresa drink with lime didn’t expect that at all but taste sooo yummy! Peple should definitely check this out and try out some awesome stuff! Will be back again soon

My daughter combined our fries. I have to say, it is worth the price. I just wished I had ordered a double burger instead of a single, as the patties are a little thin, but still loved it. They even cook the patty to your liking! This will definitely be our burger place from now on. Great service as well.

Stopped in to the HABITBURGER for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised, for a fast food joint. I had the Santa Barbara Char Burger, which was a double burger, with avocado on grilled sourdough(4 stars). I also had the sweet potato fries, which were ok(3 stars)… and a strawberry cucumber limeade, which was delicious and refreshing(4.5 stars). Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Burger was tasty. 3.75 stars!

I love this burger joint and it’s one of my families favorite spots to go to for fast food burgers. We love the options for fries and the burgers are good. I normally order a charburger with lettus and cheese. I then would have sweet potato fries with it and a side of ranch. Their onion rings and regular fries are delicious too, but im more of a sweet potato gal. My family usually order the other fries so we can share. I was not able to take any pictures of the food because I was sick when I went and needed to quickly stuff my face with food. If you are here during lunch it gets packed so finding a table inside may be difficult so there are outside seatings available. My parents and I came here after the warriors watch party for dinner and it was still packed even for 9 pm at night. Folks were even sitting outside in a well lit area. I do definitely recommend others to try this burger joint, it’s better than smashburger for sure! I know i’ll be back soon!

I absolutely love coming here! Their sweet potato fries are so good! I usually get the veggie burger with cheese. The staff and management are very professional and super nice when I come in!

So frikkin good — I think better than Super Duper and In N Out. The double burger and BBQ sauce were tasty. Price was right. Ambiance is nice, with succulents even. Overall, a win!

Take my review for what it is. My favorite fast food burgers come from Burger King. These come close. The same juicy taste and American cheesiness is there. Fries aren’t as good though. Also takes longer. And fewer options. I can tell BK exactly how I want my burger, and 9 times out of 10, they get it right. Here, they don’t even put ketchup or mustard on them. Ya gotta get that yourself from their«bar.» Anyway, was it good? Sure. My favorite? Nah.

Wow. I know this burger joint been around my area for some time but I’ve never had a motive to pay a visit. Until! My boyfriend asked if we have a habit burger nearby, sure enough. We hit this place up on a weds afternoon. They have outdoor seating so we were about to bring our four legged boy to join in on our meal! Pet friendly place? Count me in. I ordered the mushroom burger. I LOVE mushrooms, so this burger screamed out to me. Got it. Loved it. By far the best burger I’ve had. Yes better than ** n ***! Also. They have fried green beans on their menu and most definitely a healthier alternative to regular potato and sweet potato fries. My boyfriend went for the double patty sourdough bread burger. Enough to share with our pup under the table! Wait time was probably 15−20mins. Usual time to cook up a burger despite the large traffic of customers at lunch time. If you haven’t had habit burger before I’d say go give it a shot!:)

The service was fast the cashiers polite and my regular burger with cheese and grilled onions very good. They are organized and speedy and have outside seating for nice days. The down side there are a lot of crazies around that area. We got asked for money inside the restaurant from a homeless lady, she got money and food then went outside and flashed everyone her boobs various time until I told the manager. lol

If In-n-Out was 5 stars, the Habit is a 4. For a fast food burger place, this place is really good for a basic burger. I like the Charbuger and the Santa Barbara style(burger on sourdough with avocado). The services was really good, too. When the cashier wasn’t busy he went around wiping down all the tables and even asked how it was and if we needed anything else. Very nice. Plus, they have super cute lights strung over the outdoor seating. Would return & would recommend

Place holder while I take a photo. The Unilocal app doesn’t let me take a photo until after I write the review. But by then my food is eaten. Okay photo posted(wait it lets me post from my gallery now, okay problem solved) now for a caveat. I never give burger places a fair shake because I’m always comparing them with Val’s in Hayward. I’ve decided it’s never fair to do that because the only way to beat Val’s would probably be to kill the cow and grind her up right as it’s being ordered. Which isn’t very marketable for the average consumer. What made me come in here was the smell from the street. I think they must just pump that smell outside for this very reason. It smells really good and realizing I haven’t had a thing to eat all day I came it driven by bloodthirsty lust for ground up bovine carnage. The burger didn’t really match the awesomeness of the smell outside. It is a good burger, but still not quite what I was hoping for. Sadly I think I’m just permanently ruined by Val’s and it’s just hard to be objective here. Giving 4 stars because it’s a fine place and my expectations shouldn’t be so unreasonably high.

Wow, This place is close to home, fast service no matter how long the line, and the burgers have that nice char flavor, so for about $ 12 you can get an inexpensive semi fast food burger experience for two! This time it was a take out situation, and parking was a challenge but I managed to get the two double cheese burgers and fries home quickly enough so that dinner was still hot. It is nice to have a decent Habit Burger Grill in SL since there really are not many options for a okay to good burger in this town. There is enough seating inside but it is always crowded. This is a good place for a quick dinner during the week when you are really craving a decent burger. In N Out is good too but I think I like Habit Burger better. We will be back.

This most recent visit to the Bay Area, I have done my best to expand my horizons when it comes to food. Thankfully, I have been getting solid recommendations from my boss(the one in Denver) and from local Unilocalers as well(thank you, Tessa B!). If it were not for Tessa, I would probably still be in line at an In N Out somewhere. She had told me about this place, and also about this location– due to its proximity to work. I gave it a shot. I was so glad I went! Not only I was introduced to a solid burger, but I finally got to see the shops of «downtown» San Leandro! This location is at the corner of 14th and Juana, in the same building as Peet’s Coffee. You can park on a strip on Juana(which is a 24 minute limit?) or in the lot on the Habit side– shared with a few other businesses. I parked in the little strip– since I had access to it. It is in a nice little neighborhood, and everything about the store looked new. I went in(it was around 2:30 Sunday afternoon), and I was glad to see how busy the place was. It seemed to be mostly families. I was strictly told to get a double charburger with extra onions. I got the #2 combo– which was the double charburger with fries and a Coke(yes, they sell Coke here!). After taxes, it was just under $ 9. I was given a pager, and got my drink. I was amazed how small the prep area was, but it seemed like everyone was on task and doing what they needed to do. It seemed to be a well oiled machine in the kitchen, they were busy, but were not panicking(which is great, because it was an open kitchen for sure). A few moments later, it was time to get my food. I got mine to go, since I was already running behind unfortunately. As I was leaving, I noticed the 2 trash cans were about to bust at the seams. That was really one of the few downsides of the place(not sure how CA does their food/health inspection scores, but on the door it did say«PASS» in large letters). I ate my burger, and I was impressed with the taste. It had the flavor like you would expect from Burger King(in terms of the flame broiled flavor) — but much higher quality. The bun was toasted and the onions gave it a nice kick. Add 2 slices of cheese and bam– you have yourself a decent burger. Also, the fries, I liked them as well. They were basic, but powerful. I didn’t even need any ketchup with them. I was really glad I got to try this place out. I will definitely have to come back. This is why I love Unilocal so much, I would not have heard of this place if it were not for another Unilocaler!

Nothing entirely special about this chain. They make a solid burger and have good sides. I guess the bast part about it would have to be the consistency of the product from on store to the next. The milkshakes are quite good though and that’s what will probably get me to return for a third time. Both visits using their online ordering system wasn’t exactly smooth. Messing up both orders however I call it up to having new staff. I’ll return.

Very tasty burgers at a small premium over In-N-Out, it was great to find a branch right in my hometown. Beyond the regular selection of charburgers and sandwiches, the garlic portobello mushroom charburger special caught my eye and it turned to be damn good for the money — well-seasoned beef, derricious shrooms and solid construction given it was with a lettuce wrap. The service was surprisingly prompt and having buzzers to take with you for your order expedited the process even further. This branch is located right off of East 14th St and part of a small shopping complex so parking isn’t too much trouble. If it’s full, however, there are quite a few pull-in spaces on the cross street.

With so many different places that already sell burgers it was quite a joy when Habit Burger Grill opened up here. I had the Santa Barbara and boy was it good and messy. I used up more napkins than I thought I would. The fries also were pretty good as well. Baby Sara had the double cheese burger and she was all smiles as well. The only set back is that the floors are pretty darn slippery and other than that the homeless people that bother you if you eat outside.

In n Out, who? After having Habit I have a new go to burger joint. Called in a to-go order during a weekday. The female employee that took care of me was great. I think her name was Jessica? She was friendly and kept confirming the order as it was placed. Hubs went to pick up. He went straight to the pick up counter and they bagged up our order which took a few minutes. Since to-go orders are paid in advance by credit card he just grabbed the bags and left. The burger was great. Ingredients were fresh and it was made to my request. No mayo and sub a wheat bun. I ordered a ½ order of fries & onion rings and sweet potato fries to share. All were great. The onion rings and regular fries were my favorites. The sweet potato fries were too soggy for my liking. The place is packed especially at lunch time. I recommend calling in the order to avoid the lines that go out of the door. I use to think the hype will die down but after having it I don’t think it will.
