Used to eat here when it was a stand alone restaurant on the corner next to the Capitol. Now it is co-located in the Pink Adobe and only open on Saturday and Sundays from 8 am to 2 pm. Let’s put it this way — it takes an awful lot to get me out of PJs and on the road to Santa Fe for brunch on a weekend, but I love the food here. The blue corn sausage enchiladas with an egg over easy can’t be beat. Also the Guadalupe Café Special Sandwich is unbelievably good. Definitely a sandwich worth driving a 60 miles for. Not sure why people are complaining about the service. Staff is very attentive and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued.

I am a local that used to frequent the old Guadalupe Café and loved it. I was sad when Jalapeño took over their spot and it was by accident that I discovered Guadalupe Café was sharing space with the Pink Adobe. I still think the food and service are great! Just wish they were open more often.

Coffee was great but hate having to ask for more when it was dead. Service was poor, room was dark and dreary and food was waaaaaay overpriced. We will not be going back, so sad because we used to love it.

Worst experience ever. Will never go back. Went to breakfast with my toddler and had a broken salt shaker empty completely on my meal. Took forever to replace the meal(which was not good in the first place) with no apology– meanwhile my boyfriend had to leave his meal to take our toddler outside because of the long wait. Waitress never said a word about slow replacement or the salt shaker breaking. They literally could care less. Going to eat with a baby is a challenge as is and to have a bad experience that was still expensive and horrible is just not ok. I had to sit alone waiting for this ridiculous meal while no one from this place could give a shit. Oh– and the bacon was totally slimy — twice!

Love this place. I’ve been going to the Guad for years and te food is amazing. Fresh ingredients and great chile. The salads are huge and delicious. Most recently I had eggs Benedict for breakfast. The eggs were poached perfectly and the green chile hollandaise was a great consistency and fresh. I prefer the English muffins to be a little toasted which they weren’t but it wasn’t bad. Service was mostly timely and appropriate. Go to the Guad and you will likely have a great meal! Also, now you can get a Bloody Mary(the best one in town, for that matter)!

Iv been coming here for years. The past 3 times I’v been here, iv been so disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite spot’s for brunch. Ever since they moved locations it’s gone down hill. The service was terrible considering they weren’t even that busy, and the food was horrible. Everything we got the salads, burgers and the eggs Benedict all tasted awful. Even the chili has changed and not for the better. Im very sad to say that this will be my last time here. And I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Poor service! We had Saturday brunch here today and was shocked at the poor service. The waiter came to the table only twice in the Hour and a half that we were there. Very poorly ran restaurant. The food was pretty good but the uninterested staff and mediocre experience left much to be desired.

Since returning to Santa Fe every few years, we discovered on our October 2014 trip that the old Guadalupe Café location across the alley from the State Capitol was abandoned. The place is vacant, but the umbrellas over the outdoor tables were still there and looking weathered and tacky. What passes for the Guadalupe’s breakfast menu can now be found a half-block north at the Pink Adobe on weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. My Guadalupe favorite was always their eggs benedict with red chile sauce. Once I actually had them pack up a half-gallon of sauce which we lugged home to Chicago in a cooler. I subsequently froze the sauce in ice cube trays to portion out over the next several months. Oh, that sauce! So on an October Saturday in the Pink Adobe, I enjoyed my eggs benedict with red sauce again — for the low, low price of $ 13.50. Really? But this trip I made an amazing discovery and can share a dirty little secret. That lovely red sauce is not the exclusive province of the old Guadalupe or the current Pink Adobe — at least to my taste buds. At a shop in Taos I discovered a jar of red that tastes every bit as good, and — what’s more — can be ordered online! Bless my wife, she gifted me with a nice resupply for Christmas. Here’s where you go to find it, folks, along with green chile sauce and a host of other New Mexico tasty goodies: Happy Chile and Año Nuevo Prospero!

Three years ago when Guadalupe was a stand alone restaurant, the food was pretty amazing for the price, and the service was exceptional. In the past several years the restaurant serves breakfast and lunch inside and outside in the lovely patio of The Pink Adobe. Sadly, the service and quality of the food has gone down hill. A friend and I had lunch on a beautiful Santa Fe afternoon in late May. The wait for a table was excessive, in our view. Once seated, we ordered only to discover a few bites into our food that we’d both received the wrong order. When we asked the waiter about it he shrugged and walked away. The food was pretty ordinary and the service certainly wasn’t very good. I hope Guadalupe can resolve these problems. It’s much too lovely a place to pass up on a visit to Santa Fe.

Went there two days ago 1130 am. I don’t make bad review usually, but this was the worst experience in my 4 day stent in wonderful Santa Fe. Started off with repulsive wine that was so old and oxidized. The appetizer was the«Trio» of dips that was so 2 days old they mixed the guacamole to keep the brown color at the bottom and was vile, the queso was burnt orange and gelatinous, the hot sauce at least 3 days old, top it off the chips were stale. We ordered the entrees which were equally vile and I don’t have the finger strength to tap the review…, I thought this was the pink adobe restaurant but I was told that it wasn’t, questionable, sorry, wait staff was confused and uninformed. I gave it one star because I don’t know how to give it 0 stars, Avoid and go to the shed

Lovely place outdoor seating. food is good try the roasted garlic(garlic lovers) spinach enchiladas. Yummy! Need new pepper mills we suggest. Service is attentively friendly. Caesar is quite the greeter!

«The food is mediocre at best» sums up the dishes coming out of the kitchen. The menu itself is a good selection, but this place really does cater towards the tourists. The pricing is also not on par with the quality of food they serve. Coming from CA, I was expecting better. Unfortunately we departed thinking we had much better Mexican food back home. If this is New Mexican cuisine, they missed the mark. The service was very good, and thus the extra star given. Otherwise, Guadalupe Café is simply a bar.

«Moved» is an stretch. «Called an awful restaurant by the same name» is more like it. The food is mediocre at best(BAD if you ever had food at the last location.) And the service, OUCH. The best service I got here was from a busser. I had an unnattentive server, and it looked like every other table did as well. My busser was busting her a$$. If you are planning on eating here, hope that this busser is working. If you run this restaurant, fire your servers, and give that busser a promotion. She was one of the only redeeming quality of any of my dining experience. The younger hostess was nice too. The bad service and food was not a one time event. I was a regular at the old location, and have tried out the new restaurant a number of times.

What used to be a 5 star café is now a hollow shell of the past. They are catering to the gringos and you can tell. Bring back the hot green chile. There is a reason lines used to be out the door and now it is only half full… figure it out.

The move to the Pink Adobe building has made the food come out of a cleaner kitchen — ironically. Salad greens are fresh and crisp, honey bottles not sticky. Sopapilla oil never rancid and the heavenly pillows just beg to become that carb addiction you swore off when you started juicing. The only thing that can jack up a plate at the«Guad«is getting improperly drained pinto beans to water down the rest of the food on your plate. Get em’ on the side if you must, that way you get more chile. Green/Red or «happy holidays» but if you get the red; notice how it’s earthier, fuller and tangier than any other in town. If I had to guess its Chimayo Red. I dream about it at night, but Im not moving back for it – really I swear not this time… err umm oh no! For visitors that are unsure of having chile fire in the hole for a few days — order a salad. The toasted pumpkin seeds mixed with avocado and creamy cilantro lime dressing = satisfaction on the taste and texture sphere. Get anything on the menu and savor a golden sopapilla dripping in honey with it and you will be happy. Service might or might not be slow that day — but hey if you are a tourist… relax you are on vacation, and if you live here well come on now that’s what you love about Santa Fe… It’s chill.

So apparently the Guadalupe Café has moved since I’d last been but the good news is it’s just a few spots up at the Pink Adobe(by day) and the courtyard is a really nice place to spend a morning. I’m never entirely blown away by this place, but it’s become an old standby for us because it’s reliable. I know I can get good food and I know there won’t be a wait. But if only I could get some fancier coffee there :)

overpriced. Got a greek salad for 13.50 and was terrible. There were 5 olives and mounds of lettuce along with spaghetti on the side which was very strange. I’m not sure why they’re called«oriental» noodles. Sadly wouldn’t recommend.

Staff is very friendly! Décor, so-so. Brunch was basic, but done pretty well. My mimosa is good… my bf’s Bloody Mary is fair… both were a whooping $ 8 a piece??? Almost lost a star for this outrageous pricing

I have not had a chance to visit the Guadalupe Café at their new location, but I enjoyed their food very much when I lived in Santa Fe for 3 years. The goat-cheese and walnut chile rellenos are always a favorite for me, and I absolutely love their corn pudding as a side dish.

Breakfast was amazing. Red and green chile were both perfect. House made turkey sausage, super tasty. My wife and I shared the Casey Enchiladas and a breakfast burrito, both Christmas, both delicious. Friendly server. Tony is right, portions are huge and it’s not super quick.

The chili was terrible! The red was bad enough to allow us to only take a few bites of our food. It had a burnt floury aftertaste. We also ordered bloody Mary’s, and they were awful. When we told our server about not liking both of these items she proceeded to tell us that they were rated number one for tasty bloody Mary’s. I’m guessing that they were the only ones in the running? No one did anything to fix our unsatisfied food and drink situations. I was extremely disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. We left hungry even though we paid for our food. On top of all of this it took the sever a very long time to bring our check to us. We will not be back. This may be the worst case of restaurant management and service that I have ever encountered.

Had a great breakfast. Don’t come here of you are in a hurry and don’t come if you are not really hungry. Service is good but not speedy, they give you a massive amount of great food.
