The first time I came here the chicken was fresh and it tasted great. The second time around was just terrible. The chicken felt like pure cartilage biting into it. There were 3⁄5 pieces that I didn’t even eat because they had that texture. When I opened my bread sticks they weren’t fresh and you can tell they were old. Keep in mind I came during lunch time(around 130), the food should have been fresh. I’m disappointed at the least and the only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was good the first time around. I expect better food if I’m paying $ 10 for a fast food lunch.

Tried to give the sushi place in the same center a 2nd chance, BIGMISTAKE. Ended up here and couldn’t be happier. Friendly people, good food and great service!

Wings n Things is definitely my favorite place to get breadsticks and wings. Wings n Things is definitely my favorite place to get breadsticks and wings! I place to go orders from here whenever we have people over to watch football games and my friends always love it.

I really love this wings n things, but I’m not happy that they stopped serving Mother Earth Cali creamin or ballast point longfin. I am a regular customer and the beer selection is important. Please bring those beers back.

About 6 to 8 weeks ago I wrote a mediocre review of Wings-N-Things in Santee. Particularly I was not pleased with the order at the cashier, pay, and wait to go to the counter, pick up your order, etc. I’m not comfortable in this culture. Today I gave them a second chance, but this was a take away order. Around 5:00PM I placed an order to go plus a beer to have while waiting. Went to the bar to have my beer. Nice lady sitting next to me told me my beer had been poured and was waiting for me to pick up at a place at the end of the bar. Again I am not in tune with the culture of the place. That’s resolved. I have a order alert thingy that will advise me when my order is done. It is sitting on the bar and my beer is a third gone, and I see it flash. Does this mean my order is done? I don’t know, so I asked a nice young women behind the bar if that meant my order was done and ready for pick up. She informed me that when my order was ready, it would flash, buzz, and there would be no confusion as to the status. Gee, about now I was thinking she must think I am the biggest Rube in the building, but in the same breath, she told me to let her know when it lit and buzzed, and she would pick up my order and bring it to me. It did(buzzed and flashed). She did(bring it to me). Showed me all in the order, and that it met my expectations. It did. I’m happy and offered a pretty substantial tip. She pleasantly declined and hoped I was pleased. I was, I am. I made a comment to the lady next to me whom witnessed the interchange that this woman ought to be the manager of this property. She had just left telling us good bye and my bar friend advised me that she was in fact the manager. Again I felt as if I was the biggest Rube in the building. Thank you ALLISON. It’s nice to do business with customer oriented people. PS I gave the bartender the tip you declined. In Arnold’s words: «I’ll be baack».

I’ve read some of the other reviews about their customer service and maybe I just get lucky when I come here. I’ve eaten here around a dozen times(it’s one of my hubby’s favorite restaurants) and we get good service every time. It usually takes about 15 minutes to get our food and it’s always delicious with piping hot bread sticks. I usually get chicken strips, but I’ve had the wings and they’re just as good. I like the fact that they have TVs all around so there’s always a game on, which is pretty nice. I’ve also called in a phone order for lunch and it was ready to go when I got there with no problems. I don’t doubt the other Unilocalers had crappy service, but no joke, I’ve been here many times and the service was great.

The only reason why there are two stars in the review is the food is worth the trouble. However, I’ve been experiencing horrible service the more I frequent this place. A year or so ago, I Unilocaled and facebooked about the horrible service experienced I received, and here I am again, leaving disappointed with yet another disappointing visit. I had ordered my meal to pick up today as I knew the restaurant would be busy due to the holiday. As anticipated, when I got there, there was a little bit of a wait — which I don’t mind, as long as the cashiers are doing what they need to do to move people along. When I got there, there were a group of people being indecisive about their order, and I let that slide(we’ve all been there). What I would have done as the cashier is maybe asked those folks if they wouldn’t mind letting someone else go while they were making up their minds. But, again, that was a small first strike. What REALLY got my blood boiling was watching a second cashier shooting the breeze with a couple customers who she appeared to be friends with. As she continued her non-business conversation, people started trickling in behind me, and all I could think about is my order, which was sitting off to the side, getting cold and soggy, as this employee continued to have her personal catch-up session with her besties. At one point, I even made eye contact with her and smiled really big to get her attention, and she smiled back and just continued on with her conversation. I believe in good food, which is why I always bring my friends and family here when they come to visit. However, I’m always nervous knowing that the service has been either average to irritating with nothing really to jump and down about. This is not a feeling you should have going into any establishment, and quite frankly, I feel the frontline employees need some good coaching on line management. This place may have San Diego’s best wings, but that reputation will only hold up if they can figure out how to truly appreciate and prioritize their patrons, especially long-time supporters like my family and I. Very disappointing. *Update* I posted to their Facebook and was asked to message them my phone number so someone could reach out to «make things right». I’ve yet to receive a call or voicemail, and this is yet another example of the level of commitment this place has to their customers. I just wish their food wasn’t as good so I could just quit them all together. The disappointment continues…

Extremely disappointed in my visit. I walked in for a quick dinner for 2 at the bar, and walked out determining that this was among my worst of dining experiences. The food was fine overall; nothing to complain about. Kind of microwaveable-tasting and not as fresh as advertised, but whatever. However, the SERVICE(not) received was by far worse than possibly imaginable and something to truly laugh about. I’ve worked in the service industry so I literally count seconds/minutes between service checkpoints. For example, once a group is seated, it should be no longer than 30seconds before they are greeted by a server and offered a beverage. I counted 4 minutes and seconds left over…4 minutes! 4 minutes of sitting there looking around to see if anyone will assist us(no menu to stare at) and also deciding whether or not to walk out and take our business to a place that might care if they have customers or not. Once finally greeted, our server Jessica took longer than average to pour 2 beers. I might add, the restaurant was nowhere near busy nor at capacity. Once we had to ask for food menus and received one, we were quickly ready to order. Instead of seeing that we were ready to place our food order, Jessica walked over to tell us that she was going on her 10 minute break and pointed at another employee insisting that she would be taking care of us in the meantime. This was a lie. That employee stood facing the opposite direction, talking to a male employee. Neither of them once even glanced over in our direction. Jessica was eating her dinner at a table nearby and didn’t even look over to notice that her guests weren’t taken care of. After watching this new employee frantically attempt to close out her one table while walking past a patient customer multiple times and not asking what she can do for him, I concluded that this employee was absolutely useless. A few more minutes of waiting, and I stood up from my seat, walked over to the«takeout» order area, and ordered my food. This process was fine. The hostess was polite. It was quick. Too bad I didn’t walk into the restaurant in order to have a carry-out meal. I took my number and walked back to the bar to my seat. I sat with my number displayed in front of me. Several minutes later, the useless employee finally realized that there were humans in her vicinity and asked if we were ready to order. I stared at her and stared back at my number. And back at her. I had no patience for her by this time and had established that I do not wish to return to this restaurant. I don’t even want to finish my meal at this point. The most incredible part of this is that I discovered that the useless employee was a MANAGER. Her name is Allison. And most likely because of her, I truly don’t understand how this restaurant has not gone out of business. It’s not okay when you ignore your customers and act like they’re not welcomed in your restaurant. I felt guilty for entering her restaurant, as if I wasn’t allowed to be there. Guests should never feel that way. Please. Someone. Do something about this management and service. I hope there were surveillance cameras in the restaurant to see because it really is unbelievable how much I am not exaggerating.

Been here many times. I love wings n things. Amazing every single time. Boneless tenders are great and you can’t beat there beer prices. $ 4 Sculpins! Buffalo Wild Wings should be embarrassed. Buffalo Wild Wings is over priced, crowded, and food not nearly as good as wings n things.

It’s OK. Bright, open, airy, tons of big screen TVs. I am not happy in a place like a deli where you have to read a menu behind the order taker, make a snap decision and place an order, pay, go to a seat and wait for the food to be delivered. I thought I ordered #8. I thought #8 was«original Buffalo» wings. I thought I was getting 8 wings. When the order arrived with my ticket I found out I must have ordered 6 «Honey BBQ» wings. My bad? I got 7. No problemo. They were good. Messy, that’s what makes them good. The bleu cheese dip was not great, OK not great, some of the celery sticks I would not have served to guests at my house.(Appearance only). The table server and the beer drawer were pleasant and acceptable. Price fair, food good. I want to come back when they’re really busy to see how they handle it.

This location is really the best. We are coming here the third week in a row and really enjoying wings(good as usual), the atmosphere(really cool décor, comfortable seats and outdoor patio) and their specials for the beer. Yesterday it was $ 5 samples

I would give it 5 Stars but some of the staff are not so friendly. The food is very consistent and always great. The wait after you ordered usually about 15 minutes and the food is hot and yummy. Room for big parties and they have a bar if you are looking for a drink with your wings.

Best wings n things in town for many reasons. The microbrew beers is one great reason to come here often. The prices are great under $ 4 per pint for sculpin, manzanita and others, the beer is always served ice cold and in frozen glasses and pitchers. The best part is the great food and even better the great service, tonight we had a minor issue with our order and the server went over and beyond and brought out free cinnamon frosting bites for all the kids without us even asking to make up for the minor problem. They treat you so well here gotta come back often. Thank you!

Awesome chicken tenders and the«medium» is a perfectly spicy/buttery/vinegary medium. The breadsticks are amazing, but nothing beats their homemade ranch dressing. It’s drinkable. So good! I like to buy an extra side of ranch/veggies to snack on the next day. It’s not on their menu board, but they do have kid’s meals if you ask. I love that they have apple cider available here! The service is always friendly, but I did think it was gross that when I came last weekend, two people working there were sick. One guys was coughing and constantly sniffing and another girl was ill too. Not something you want to be around when you’re eating. I know this can happen anywhere, so I’m not holding it against them, but someone should know.

TV’s, outdoor seating, clean, great service and the food is a grand slam here. The party pack gets you a lot of bang for you buck! There is a bar also for adults. This place has a lot space to host a fundraiser too.

When it comes to Wings N Things, I think that every location should be like the Santee location. I mean, come on! Outdoor seating… Bar with some semi-decent craft beer selections… It really doesn’t get any better. I love WNT. They have incredible wings. I’ve tried about three of the varieties and I’d have to say that Medium Buffalo and the Sweet Chile are my favorites. They also have the buffalo sticks(pizza) and Buffalo Fries at this location as well. Which are both great. The staff is friendly and service is respectable. Get r done!

WOW! This location blew my socks off! I’ve only ever been to the Wings-N-Things near SDSU(mid city) and El Cajon… Both less than stellar locations that are designed much like a Little Ceasars pizza joint where you walk in to a counter and walk right out with your order to take home. As such, I was completely pleasantly surprised to see that this Santee location has a full size restaurant with a full wrap around bar and a beautiful new outdoor patio/bar area! Complete with plasma TVs and outdoor patio heaters! While the beer on tap selection wasn’t large, they did have a good variety available(1IPA, 1 Pale Ale, 1 Hefe, 1 Amber, 1 seasonal… etc…) and also boasted the local BNS Brewery«Gunfighter» on tap. Here, here to supporting your local brewery! So this seems like it’s all about the beer and the set up… and it mostly is. But a nod toward the wings because nobody does your standard buffalo wings and strips better than Wings-N-Things does. Let’s not forget about their fresh, fat, garlicky bread sticks! Love this location; love these wings. Will return.

Great opening day! All employees were ready and the place was spot less and well organized.
I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad with the chicken strips in a mild sauce.( ) The strips had good flavor and the sauce had a slight kick to it as I wanted. Their exterior under the sauce remained crunchy.( ) The chicken inside was all white meat and tender.( ) My only issue would be that they need to add more chicken. The salad greens were basic but fresh. I choose the blue cheese dressing for my salad and it was pretty good as blue cheese goes. It had nice little bits of blue cheese. The bread sticks I ordered were amazingly moist with a buttery texture in top and sprinkled with just the right amount of salt.( ) I really like their bread sticks. Service was nice at the counter and went flawlessly. Hooray for chicken strips! But don’t tell Camilla the Unilocaling hen… The place is large and has a bar.
