Really enjoyed our breakfast brunch. This place was featured in the Movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Good prices and great lunch and breakfast options.

I love the off the grid places and this was one of them. The breakfast was more then a breakfast it was a 5 star meal. You have to go and sit inside the wait was about 10 min but we’ll worth it.

Great food. Crowded with locals which was a good sign. Omelette was fluffy and tasty. Bacon a chewy perfection for my taste. Solid diner service and good prices. Pleasant surprise.

Great brunch place. Had the waffle that came with homemade whipped cream and fresh fruit. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The crab cakes were tasty not Maryland but good anyway. It was worth the wait. My aunt got an éclair and loved it. I’ll be back.

Simple classic diner food with great service! The Hoppel Poppel omelet with salami was excellent! Hubby had the crabcakes Benedict and he loved. My highlight was having cane syrup with my waffle — took me back to Summer at my Madea’s when I was little. Very reasonable prices and the coffee was great too! Worth the wait.

In the heart of the historic district of Savannah lies this lovely place. Packed to the brim, and filled with an awesome wait staff, my experience at Clary’s café were pleasant. I’m not really a breakfast person, so I ordered some blueberry waffles and a side of sausage. The waffles were good, but the syrup was just okay. The sausages were a bit disappointing. All and all, if I come back and am looking for an early morning snack, I’d come back to Clary’s.

I had the Oglethorpe. It’s around $ 10 and a lot of food. This is a great place to eat. Friendly staff, good service and great food.

This place deserves five stars for the corned beef hash alone. I’m telling you, this is a once in a lifetime experience and not to be missed. BTW, this state(Georgia) is not persecuting people. Georgia folks are friendly folks and Savannah is a place for everyone. So if you come to Georgia, you will be treated like family. Back to the food; we also have to say that the cinnamon pecan rolls are also the best you will find in the entire planet Earth. This is not hyperbole. If you find yourselves in Savannah, go to Clary’s. Put it into your mapquest and follow the instructions. Parking is amazingly easy to find and you will not regret it.

Judging from the Unilocal reviews we gather that this place is historic, which may mean nothing more than old, but we ate outside so we couldn’t tell the difference anyway. The apple and cheese omelette was unusual and very tasty. The Greek omelette was very good. Ice tea tasted weak but it didn’t look it. Our grits were cold. Over all this is a very good breakfast spot. We liked our waitress and our wait time was very reasonable. Oh yes, the key lime pie is outstanding.

Even with a crowd they seated us pretty quickly. The staff was very courteous and efficient. The food is good — probably the best is the chicken fried steak — classic southern. My Georgian egg sandwich was exactly what the menu said — no foode touches here, just basic, classic, solid good breakfasts ! Also — great prices. Cheap for the city man !

I wanted a traditional southern breakfast and that is what I got. I had the Corn Beef Hash that’s made in house with brisquette and it was wonderful and flavorful and a large portion. I had the Cheesy Grits, a little bland but very creamy and nothing a pinch of salt couldn’t fix, as well as two sunny side up eggs done right. Did I mention the biscuit because it was note worthy and delicious with its flaky and warm and buttery self. The service was great. The coffee was hot fresh and flavorful aroma that was worth 3 pours or more. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and highly recommend.

When we stopped here for brunch, I had no idea of the history of the place. Really I was just craving something breakfast-y, and this came up in our search. Although crowded, we were seated promptly. For a little place with a lot of customers, I didn’t feel crammed in like a sardine, nor was the noise level high enough to be bothersome. Compared to other breakfast spots I’ve been to, Clary’s is a great value for the portion size. Holy smokes their pancake stacks are huge! A stack of pancakes and their generous side of bacon could easily serve 2 people for right around $ 10. My blueberry pancakes were excellent! No gloppy ‘fruit compote’ here… a generous amount of blueberries mixed into the batter made the pancakes that lovely shade of purple/blue…just like I make at home. Friendly, prompt service, great value and great food made Clary’s a win for me. If you need a Savannah history lesson, read through the other reviews :)

I didn’t see Clint Eastwood’s «Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil», but evidently this restaurant was featured in that movie. I’m not usually the type to have breakfast for lunch, but I wanted to try the corned beef hash because not many restaurants serve it. The hash turned out to be wonderfully seasoned and came with two eggs, grits or potatoes, and one of the best and lightest biscuits I’ve ever eaten. I really enjoyed it. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy, but it is very down home and clean. The waitresses are all extremely friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome and showing true Southern hospitality. Alice was so sweet and kind.

Oh hell yes… The ideal venue for a true Southern breakfast. Chicken fried steak with 2 eggs over easy and a side of biscuits and sausage gravy for the wife and a very difficult choice of the home made corned beef hash with breakfast fries and cheese grits or the large, fat and juicy smoked sausage… next time. So many choices so little time but the hash was light and not in the least bit greasy with a hint of perhaps anise?, Biscuits were savory covered with the gravy and the grits just needed a splash of hot sauce to make everything come together… A great place to eat, socialize, and watch Savannah become even more beautiful…

I always knew I’d end up in Clary’s, simply because my mother and I are fans of «Midnight,» so today, I decided to stop putting it off and come in for some well deserved breakfast. I’ve heard that it’s always busy in the tiny eatery, but I also heard the food was legendary. I came in around 9:30 and sat down rather quickly. The hostess found a window seat for me: she probably sensed I was a people watcher and wanted a good view of the dining area. As soon as I sat, my server came to the table to greet me. She had a warm smile and gave me the run down on today’s specials. But I’d been eyeing the menu and that Crab Cake Benedict sounded tempting and delicious, so I decided on that and a steaming cup of coffee. Food came out as quickly as the rest of the service. It was piping hot, beautifully presented and most of all, delectable. The poached egg was perfect and creamy. It wasn’t overcooked and once I cut into the morsel, it spilled forth over the crab cakes like a beautiful running river. The crab had very little filler and was very tasty and fresh. Then, the Canadian bacon was just the right kind of salty to accompany the fresh and light egg and crab. Clary’s brings the poet out in you, and they don’t abuse the wallet too much either. I’m looking forward to more days as a regular here.

GREAT place for breakfast. We woke up slighly hungover and looking for a good breakfast on a rainy Sunday morning. I Unilocaled and found this gem. Alice, Ms. Alice I called her, was our waitress and she couldn’t have been more sweet. I wasn’t sure what to get Georgia pecan waffle or the homemade corn beef hash. At Ms. Alice suggestion, I got the hash because it was homemade and with fennel. Now, I don’t really eat hash but homemade breakfast meat is a rare thing these days. So coming from a non-hash eater, it was amazing! The spices and fennel gave it the perfect savory kick. This hash was much better than the stuff I saw my father making out of the can as a kid. The coffee was hot and the eggs over medium were perfect. If I lived in Savannah, I’d be a regular at this place.
