Excellent Trout! Excellent service. I wish they served New Zealand wines. I know they have an American menu but it won’t hurt to have a wine variety. Very nice place please add a vegetarian salad or dish that healthy and I can send all our neighbors. Good luck and welcome to Savannah!

I speculate that their patrons probably frequent Anthropologie over Pottery Barn, grow their own vegetable garden, and only sip coffee from a French press. And I like it. It’s a great atmosphere and the food and service is excellent. I mean, if you can transform baby carrots into the most magical root vegetable in the universe that’s been roasted to perfection and glazed with deliciousness and sends you to heaven with each bite, imagine what the rest of their menu items taste like. Are you imagining? Are you drooling? Exactly.

Whoa– amazing food, service, and space. My brother had been urging me to visit Cotton & Rye since its opening and I finally had a chance to visit about a month ago for dinner. We started with the house-made sausage and cheese board. I usually shy away from trite charcuterie, but this was different, tasty, and original. I ordered the pork chop which was huge & cooked to perfection! The sides and sauce paired nicely. We also ordered the candy bar for dessert(imitation-Twix)– so creative and of course tasted better than the«real» thing. Overall the dining experience was lovely and the food was inventive and delightful. I look forward to going back for outdoor dining in the warmer months.

Friendly service, cute atmosphere, amazing food. Do not miss the hangar steak and start with the shrimp and grits or short rib app. I will be back!

Must eat restaurant in Savannah! Bartenders are absolute professionals and cocktail menu is easy to navigate. We had the thyme lemonade, margarita and old blue eyes. We started with the sausage and cheese board– a «pork butter» was a feature of the night– OMG! Our table had a great sampling of the menu– hangar steak was out of this word, fish special to die for and the pork chop was picture worthy but even better when cut into. The service was top notch. Rebecca made sure our glasses were full, we had the best dishes and never wanted for anything. Casual atmosphere makes the whole dining experience more fun but there is nothing missing from a fine dining restaurant here– except a huge bill(nice perk too!)

I decided to drop in Cotton & Rye on my way home today. I was greeted at the door enthusiastically by the hostess and opted to sit at the bar(solo). Paul was behind the bar and immediately offered water and requested to know what I would like as he described the spirits, wines and beers available. I was very surprised to see the quality of their well brand liquors. I ordered bourbon. Conch fritters we’re not on the menu but available today. They were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I then attempted to eat the«cheeseburger». It came with french fries that were lightly seasoned. I could only eat half! Decadent across the board. The staff was impeccable with their service. Smiles, friendly conversation and in-depth knowledge of the menu was a parent with all of the employees that I spoke with. I will be back and I will be back soon.

If you’re planning to go on a weekend, don’t forget to make a reservation. We came here without reservation around 7pm and were told that there is no table available until 9pm. Luckily someone didn’t show up so we were able to get a table for 5 people. I got the Fried Chicken Thigh with sweet spicy sauce and Mac and Cheese($ 19). Both were great, typical southern comfort food and the portion size was good too. Being from Savannah, the fried chicken was nothing different from any other restaurant. The service was great. Our server told it would take him 18 – 20 minutes to get my fried chicken out but he was able to get it to me earlier than that. The ambiance is good as well, great for a date night.

I’ve been to Savannah a few times and always love to check out new places and I think coming here was one of the best restaurant choices I’ve made in a while. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively but still felt intimate, décor and service were AWESOME! I ordered the burger and I can easily say it was one of the best I’ve ever had, the bacon was a perfect touch and tasted really fresh and the meat was cooked just right. The people I was with ordered the shrimp and grits and they LOVED them. All around a great place to go, I highly recommend it if you want a variety of foods, good service, and a nice atmosphere.

The food at this renovated bank is some of the best in Savannah! I’ve eaten here 4 times over the past 2 weeks. The pork chop is one of the best I’ve had and the burger is the best in Savannah(yes, Better than the Green Truck!) This little place grinds their own meat and cures their own bacon… enough said!

Outstanding. Have been there twice and we ordered several starters and salads. Each excellent. The tossed salad has a wonderful vinaigrette and the beet salad is great. We just tried the sausage and cheese board. Had an aged duck and a home made sausage. Both very good — the sausage almost like a hummus. The 2 cheeses were mild — one a blue cheese and the other an humbolt goat cheese. Wonderful. We personally would have preferred an additional cheese and less meat but still great. Also has pickled cauliflower, onion and cucumbers. Entrees: special last night — NY strip was excellent — had it medium(almost medium rare) with crisp outside but nowhere over done. With brocollini and fingerling potatoes. My wife had the pork chip which is quite thick and very well prepared with Apple sauce over cauliflower and sweet potato wedges(which are very tasty). Previously had the oregenatta and another fish special. All wonderful. Only disappointment was the chocolate bread pudding the first time we went. Was dry. Last night had the candy bars. Very good. Excellent wines both nights and the staff is excellent — very personable and attentive. Managers are circulating and involved. Front hostess helped quickly last night correct a lost or misplaced reservation despite a busy night. The staff truly makes it a very enjoyable experience. We can’t wait to go again.

That was an amazing experience. Place is simply designed, but with a good taste. Amazing service. Food and drinks were absolutely perfect. It’s so cool to have places like that in Savannah. Highly recommend hunger steak(Decent size, perfect flavor).

My husband and I have driven by this restaurant so many times and finally decided to try it out. It is in a very up and coming area. With this restaurant, BBQ, ands great fresh seafood market within a ½ mile of each other, this area is definitely gaining a lot of attention. We had read several reviews and pretty much knew what we wanted to order. We received a very warm welcome by several staff members while we waiting for our seat. We ordered a bottle of Viognier wine, and the sausage and cheese plate initially. I ordered the Panzarella salad and we got the hangar steak medium-rare. We shared so many oohs and ahhhhs are while trying each item. It was a true experience. Last, but definitely not least, we ordered the candy bar dessert. I was slightly disappointed when I saw the size of the dessert(as any woman would be), but then I tried it and«oh my goodness, it was SO worth it. Our bill came to $ 89 before tip and we both agreed it was worth it. We will definitely be back!

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here. The food was very good, service was great — the portions were enormous — something unusual for a place like this. It had everything my husband was looking for — beer, charcuterie, and a burger. The desserts were also quite delicious. I got the piggy pappardelle which was very good but very heavy and salty, so think should have had something different. Overall, great place for a special occasion.

I cannot say enough great things about the environment, the food, and the service. Easily the best restaurant experience we had while in Savannah visiting friends. The chef not only prepared an off the menu vegan option for dinner for me but also a vegan appetizer and vegan salad too. The drinks were unique and reasonably priced. All of our meals(there were four of us) were prepared perfectly. The food was delicious. The service was exactly what you would expect from a finer dining establishment. Highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic dining experience and even better environment.

So I’m back home in Miami right now and reminiscing on the Fried Chicken Thighs and Mac & Cheese… I think they might be worth the 8 hour drive back to Savannah. But seriously best Fried Chicken I’ve ever had, juicy and tender on the inside and crisp to perfection on the outside. Then there’s a honey spicy sauce to pour on at your discretion that is just the perfect amount of sweet and kick. That Mac and Cheese, oh if heaven served food it’d be on the menu for sure. So rich and creamy and just enough saltiness not to be bland but still take in the cheese flavors, served on a skillet with baked crumbs, soo delicious. They make their bread in house, the complimentary Rye bread was delicious. My mother had the tossed salad, so fresh and tasteful. My father had the Steak with Potatoes and Mushrooms, so tender and cooked to perfection as requested medium rare. The cook definitely knows how to cook! And the staff was so friendly and attentive showing off that famous Southern Hospitality. I must come back on my next visit.

Well done and great new restaurant in Savannah. Let’s start with service, Caleb, great job taking care to us. On to cocktails: Cocktails are craft quality, something we have had a hard time finding in Savannah. The attention to detail and variety is a real treat. Nice job! Food, nice job by the chef. We had a nice variety of chicken, fish, and pork: Winner though was the pork chop, how did he do that, wish I had taken a picture, worthy of an award. Also, not a hit on cheese board, but perhaps a bit more variety. On the wine, it is a good list, not one of my favorites, but again not a hit, just something to continue to build as time goes on. Bottom line, place is fit for foodies, we will be back.

Writing this review while still sitting down at the restaurant. Five stars in every aspect! The restaurant is chic outside and carries it’s minimalistic southern chic style inside too! It’s spacious, beautiful, and extremely inviting! The minute you walk in you’re greeted by southern hospitality and it carries on throughout your whole entire experience. Every single staff member I made eye contact with smiled! We felt so welcomed and at home. FOOD: When in the South, fried chicken is a must and Cotton & Rye’s fried chicken is the BEST. The seasoning, the crisp, how the chicken almost just melts in your mouth… can’t get any better — but it does! There’s a spicy honey on the side that brings a sweet touch with a kick and the Mac n cheese makes me want to never eat anything else! I couldn’t stop making awkward noises while eating and just saying«I need to taste everything on the menu!» So delicious and officially a must do when in Savannah!

The menu wasn’t long which raised a eyebrow. Because that normally mean they are really concerned about quality and I must admit my hunch was right! I had the steak tartare and it was was prepared perfectly!!! And for my main I had the pork chop which was almost enough for two!

Excellent start to finish: prompt and thorough service, yummy shrimp & grits for appetizer, our party ordered the fried chicken with mac & cheese, hanger steak and pork chop: all items exceeded all expectations. The pork chop was by far the most delicious, so juicy, fresh and seasoned perfectly. Phenomenal dinner and will definitely return.
