Ordered a gyro for takeaway. The bag had a piece of raw chicken stuck to the bottom, leading me to question how sanitary the establishment is. Sad to have to throw what’s supposed to be a pretty good gyro away. Also paid cash and was told I couldn’t have a receipt because someone broke into the cash register so now it’s not working. Overall not the most professional of establishments.

This was a truly disappointing experience. I ordered lunch from Gyro House using Eat24. First, it took two hours for the food to be delivered, when it said online it would be 45 minutes to an hour. Second, they called and told me they were out of falafel so I’d have to change my order. A gyro place, out of falafel? Seriously? I asked if they could substitute dolmas on the falafel platter and they said yes. The food finally arrived and instead of the falafel platter with dolmas, I got 6 dolmas over cold, soggy vegetables. This menu item would have cost me half what the falafel platter did, but I had already paid online. ALSO I specified on my order NODAIRY and my meal came smothered with tzatziki! So frustrating. Other people at my office who had ordered other items had poor experiences too, and instead of the«greek fries» they just got plain, mediocre french fries. Definitely will not be ordering from this place again.

They serve the best gyro in the town… The restaurant is neat and clean and their service is good. The really care about their customers. I would recommend this place.

I used to eat here when I worked down the street. Only thing I’ve ever got was the falafel sandwich. They must be under new ownership now, because the falafel sandwich were not the same as the past… falafel was not as good and they didn’t put the same toppings/spreads it. It was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Even worse than the food was the facility. No soap, no paper towels, no napkins, soda fountain broken. I requested these multiple times before I was told they were out. I’m 99.9% certain they didn’t have any in the cooking area either. Yuck.

The food is good, but the last two times, they cancelled my order and didn’t tell me, leading me to wait 2.5 hours. Once, I figured it was just a mistake. Twice isn’t. Never ordering from them again. They ruined my night; by the time I realized the food wasn’t going to come(and checked in with Eat24 — who couldn’t even reach the restaurant), it was too late to order anything else as my guests had to leave, so we all went without dinner.

I love this place! Their food is delicious and their service is prompt! Have yet to try anything here that doesn’t hit the spot. So much food and super affordable. My only complaint is that it’s too easy to get to from my work and it’s an excuse not to make lunch!

I placed an order for delivery(for a board meeting) well over 3 days in advance and the order was almost an hour late. Not only did they not inform me that the order would be delivered late, but they wouldn’t offer any kind of discount after the fact. Definitely never ordering from here again.

Beware, Gyro House ratings are mostly from before it had changed. The new management took over and this place is way different now. I thought this placed sucked. It was not bad enough for a one-star because the service was friendly. It’s just that they didn’t have much and it was way over priced. I think it is under new ownership or management. This would be a breezy spot if they would clean the place up make it more inviting. I would totally hang out with the people that work there, but the restaurant is simply, blah.

I went on an impromptu Seattle trip with one of my good friends and we stumbled upon this place. I. AM. SO. HAPPY. I love hole in the wall type places that you semi wonder from the surroundings/upkeep of the building if you are going to have a hard time later. Well, I love them when you get delicious food! I’m happy to report that not only did we get a ton of delicious, non greasy, cooked fresh plates of goodness, but I also want to marry the man who made them for us. If only to eat this deliciousness every day for the rest of my life! ;) I look forward to visiting and eating this deliciousness again in the near future. We ordered the gyro wrap, hummus, and a gyro plate. As much as I want to try other things, it was too delicious and I’d do it all again.

Pretty good I guess. A little on the greasy side. Convenient lunch spot. Staff is polite and always quick. Prices seem just a bit too high.

No. Just no. Bland. The meat tastes old. The French fries were soaked in grease, I only ate a few and I’m still paying for it hours later. The restaurant is very dirty, dirty napkins hiding in corners, dirty tables and ripped booth seats, I feel dirty just being in there. Just too many other options for lunch. The staff is very nice and I wish them the best.

Food: Four stars. Everything else: Two. I walked in, there was nobody at the front counter. Several minute later, somebody showed up but couldn’t take my order until several minutes after that when she finally found a pen. Everything about the place looks grungy, grimy, decrepit, beat looking. The walls are cracking, the speaker cones on their boombox sound system are crumbling. The sign outside is falling down. The floor and tables look worn out. The general look of the place almost says that somebody started off with great intentions, and then sort of gave up. With all this in mind, I was pleasantry surprised when my food finally showed up. I had the veggie moussaka. The moussaka was stellar, but the rice was alternatingly fluffy and clumpy, like it had been scraped from the bottom of the pot. The salad looked and tasted great. I noticed that the guys who came in after me ordered gyros and got their food a lot quicker. I’d probably go that route next time.

Let me make one thing clear… I really do love this place but need to comment on my last visit in the hopes that the situation won’t happen again. Went in for lunch with one of my work mates. Stood in line waiting to order. Noted that cashier was having issues with register. Cashier asked us what we wanted and we gave her our order. She did not take money. She turned in our order and we waited(and waited for her to ask to take our money). We then got back in line and when we got to her we asked for her to take our money. She then ran back and checked on order. …and we waited and waited. She walked by us with our order and took it to another table. Anyhoo we order Shwarma and Jumbo Gyro We weren’t asked about the sauce that should be on Shwarma. Both items in spite of it all were delicious… but waiting almost 25 minutes for our food(and being given the food in to go packaging when we asked for a sit down order) was very frustrating… and this is a place that I truly do love. I will absolutely be back… and hope… it won’t be a repeat… it can’t…it won’t…I have faith in you Gyro House.

The service here is… odd. I’ve had nice people who ring up orders wrong, people who are pretty«meh» about working and show it, and then there’s the guy who made me not want to go back. On my fifth or sixth visit, two of my friends and I were eating our meals and(mid-meal!) an employee came over and asked me to talk to technical support for him. I felt way too awkward to say no, so I did it. And I ended up not finishing my food because I had to run back to work after spending time with tech support. Not my favorite lunch hour memory. It was just weird. Other than that — the falafel sandwich is good.

I ordered a Jumbo Gyro hold the Tzatziki and Feta. The menu said that the Jumbo Gyro had Hummus on it, so when I asked for Hummus the person who took my order told me that it was Tzatziki or Hummus and I had to ask for the Hummus… So he took my Gyro back into the Kitchen and it took him about 5 minutes to bring it back to me with Hummus glopped on the top of it. The meat was the dried out end pieces that were hard and hurt my teeth. I would give this place a 0 if I could… I had go to a better Mediterranean place the Next day for Makeup Mediterranean this place is that bad.

Best gyro I’ve had in a LONG time. The gentleman who works there is so awesome and friendly. He cooks everything as soon as you order it. The falafels are great, too.

Had a falafel sandwich here, and they made it extra crunchy by putting fries in it! The only drawback here is that you have to bus your own table, but for about $ 10 for two sandwiches, it’s not that surprising. I would probably only go here for lunch and not dinner, as it is in a shady bit of downtown, and I imagine the street is pretty empty at night, with no businesses across the way either.

You’ll walk in, order and pay at the counter, and find a table. You’ll grab your own napkins and silverware around the corner. They play the smooth Jazz station… reminds me of the dentist. The food portion is huge; you might want a to-go box. The tables are clean and the guy at the counter is friendly. The atmosphere is clean and uncluttered. It’s definitely better than Main St. Gyros. Same quality of Zaina’s. More expensive than Mediterranean Mix.

Starting with 3 stars: +1 for location: Very close to my office. An easy walk unless its raining. +1 for flavor/quality: The food is flavorful and nicely prepared. Orders come with fries which seem a little odd, but I’m a big fan of fries so I’m not going to complain about that… –1 for price: As others have stated the prices here are a little on the high side. You can get the same food at a number of other locations for less money. Quality may or may not be as high at those other places. NOTES: It gets a little busy during lunch rush so you can expect to wait in line. You also have to bus your own table and orders come on paper plates so this isn’t fine dinning by any length of the imagination.
