Got my usual non-fat white mocha and it was yummy! I could actually taste coffee and not just sugar. Ha! It wasn’t more spectacular than anything I’ve tested before, but if it isn’t disgusting, then I’m happy. My favorite part is all the seating available. I came here to study on a Saturday evening and it was perfect… quiet, lots of space, and open until 7pm. I will definitely be back! :)

A great local spot. Good coffee and the pastries are made in house. The selection is a bit smaller than most places but who cares. Very spacious so good to take my stroller. The staff are friendly and they remember my coffee order and my baby’s name.

Basically, this is the old Tully’s. More of a locally owned store now, and they actuall put effort into making each coffee right. Today I had the espresso blended drink, and it was very delicious and had more of a nutty taste than the Starbuck’s version. Not as good as Van Gogh’s coffee shake(nobody beats that), but Holy Grounds is in the perfect location in a cozy neighborhood just south of Blue Ridge. A good selection of home-baked goodies if you can’t resist those carbs. The fireplace is still there, and this location is much quieter than most Starbuck’s locations, which, if you’re trying to read a book and enjoy your coffee – you get the idea.

I used to go here quite often and enjoy it for studying, work meetings, and pleasure. The environment is fine but in recent months when Ive been they have raised their drink prices and they now seem a bit astronomical. The place could use an interior refresh as it appears tired and somewhat worn feeling. It might be time to retire the furniture they inherited from the old Tully’s. I will say that the coffee is always well made.

Pros: Friendly place No sign of snobby coffee hipsters Pretty good coffee Great breakfast and lunch sandwiches Cons: Choice of music is typically a random 90’s rock station The music includes blaring radio commercials, which will literally give you a headache. I wish they would consider satellite radio or iPod. Velvet seats. Not sure how often they’re cleaned or disinfected.

Never had a bad experience here and most of their pastries are baked right inside the café. They’re always super nice and talkative!

A little dimly lit, but otherwise, great pastries, great service. The baristas were friendly and made being a patron very welcoming. I’ve already started ushering my friends to start going to Holy Grounds just based on my few, but positive, trips there.

Haven’t tried their coffee, but their prices are pretty high. $ 6 for a burrito that they just heated up in the microwave. I can get a bigger tastier burrito that they actually make down the street at Safeway for $ 2.49.

My neighborhood coffee shop and hangout. It is SO nice to have a funky, welcoming place that offers GOODCOFFEE and eats. The people that work here are all, to a person, kind and pleasant. In the cooler weather the fireplace is on and it’s all quite cozy. Free wi fi is nice, too. A good place to go for an hour or two, read book, do a little writing, or meet a friend.

The coffee is really good and the breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos are AMAZING. I’m not saying this just because my mom works there and she is really good friends with the owner, but it’s so good!

Convenient little spot in the neighborhood for a cup of the hot stuff. In my case, the hot stuff was a tasty cup of soy hot chocolate, made with Ghirardelli chocolate! I never would have expected I’d get a hot chocolate on a summer afternoon, but they have the A/C here set cold, I mean like REALLY cold… you could hang meat in here.

It’s just a great place to meet up and have a great cup of java. I’m not a pastry gal but I’ve heard good things about their treats. I just love the neighborhood feel of the place. The folks that work there are always friendly and I feel welcomed. It has parking(!!) and is an easy place to meet. Thanks!

Get the plain scone with raspberry jam. It’s an incredible example of exactly how a scone should be

This place has the best pastries and goodie selection. I don’t go often but when I do I’m never let down. I would recommend for an afternoon pick me up!

Pretty good. Espresso, drips, and teas very nice, especially berry tea in a mug. Pros: Lots of free parking in retail complex. Free wifi. Lots of windows for natural light and scanning the view. Sometimes the fireplace is lit — I think HG used to be a Tully’s. Plentiful wall sockets and power strips for laptops. Cons: Staff are often absent from behind counter — just what are they doing in the back room? No variety in pastry case: Nordy Bars *again*? After 6PM, tends to be rather empty, but with the odd creepaziod and furtive type trickling through. Music often hipster-awful and too loud. Thank goodness for Sennheiser noise-suppressors.

I love Holy Grounds because… great coffee, fresh homemade baked goods, plush booths, roaring fireplace(in the winter), owners who care about the neighborhood… oh, and wine/beer/music in the evenings. Such a great little spot!

I showed up last weekend drenched from the record September rainstorm and was greeted with the options of egg nog and pumpkin spice latte. Sold! I ended up coming by a couple more times during the weekend to hang out, grab wifi, and relax between everything I had to do in Seattle. This place was accessible on the RapidRide D Line and close to where I had to be. There seemed to be adequate parking and tons of space – I’m surprised more people weren’t there, but I guess this is the problem with starting a coffee shop in the city that gave rise to Starbucks. Oh, and the coffee was awesome.

What a cute little coffee shop on Holman Road! I’m sorry I hadn’t popped in here before now considering they’ve been open a few years now after taking the place of the old Tully’s. They serve Caffe Vita and the coffee is tasty. All their drinks come with 2 shots which I appreciate. The prices seemed on the reasonable-ish side inching towards kind of spendy. It was $ 6.20 for my tall soy pumpkin spice latte and a drip coffee. I guess that is standard but I still can’t believe how expensive the pumpkin lattes are(everywhere). The latte was very good. Much better than Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte in my opinion. I’ll definitely be back!

For a moment I was bummed that it was no longer a Tully’s because I’m horribly addicted to their Yerba Mate latte, but… I love trying new(and small) businesses, so that sadness did not linger. As for coffee and everything else? I’ll have to agree with Katie S– everything here was fine. The things that stood out to me: + Live music some nights(info on a blackboard) + Fireplace(always a cool feature) + Free wi-fi + The blackboard that said(something like) «Thanks for the welcome, Ballard!»(I like things like that)
