This place used to be a bit of a hole. Located on the county line not many people know about this location and opt to go to the 185th& Aurora one. I would recommend going here from now on. The staff here are much more knowledgeable under the new management, and the store is much more open and easy to get around. They do seem a bit short-staffed, though. This location has a lot of potential.

I fall into the age group that first started liking Radio Shacks when it was owned by the Tandy Corporation. It’s sad to see how far this chain has plummeted. Although this outlet still has the obligatory drawer of resisters and capacitors, the focus(like the bulk of the chain) has obviously shifted to cell phones, overpriced cables, and plastic junk. But when you need to make cable type A fit into slot type B, whatcha gonna do? So when I walk into this Radio Shack, with a picture /name of the output and a picture /name of the input, and say I need a converter, if you tell me you can help me, mean it. Instead, I find myself awkwardly standing in front of the small and pathetic selection of converters with a sales girl that obviously has zero idea what I’m talking about and who is learning what the things are as she goes from pile to pile reading the titles. Finally she decides they don’t have what I need to convert my digital signal from coax to optical. Fine. How about digital coax to analog? [Insert learning curve here]. What does she hand me? A coax to headphone jack plug and an extension headphone cord. «Sure», she says, «that will convert the digital signal to analog». Like hell it will. You’re a dying chain with a dwindling marketplace need. If you don’t want to continue with what made Radio Shack a good place to go for electronic parts, then stop selling them instead of under stocking and then hiring sales people that have no idea what they are selling but feel free to lie to you to make a sale. Pathetic.

I have been there. The staff is nice. When I was there, someone was stealing that needs better security there. I would never shop at a RadioShack.

I’m not sure why Shoreline has to have 2 Radio Shacks in the same hood, ala the Western half of the city. Heck I’m not sure why this location is still open! Tiny, short staffed, under stocked and OVER priced! If I need batteries, I’ll hit up Costco. If I need plastic remote control toys, I’ll hit up Costco. Now, if I need some over priced out of date electronics, well when in Rome…

I didn’t see very many radios and its not even a shack. More of a strip mall.
