Sleep Train was busy for a Thursday night and lightly staffed but Kat Cotton was able to help me right away. i knew what i wanted and was out of there in less than 15 min. She was helpful, charming and knowledgeable when i had questions. Made me wish I had more reasons to shop there.

This place has the best bundle deals and general prices I’ve seen. We walked in knowing we wanted to buy a bed some time soon but not today if it didn’t feel right. The staff members were friendly and very informative. Clint was super helpful! He answered any and all questions we had. Gave my husband and I plenty of time to discuss things in private and did not make us feel pressured to buy (like most salesmen). I will definitely be recommending this location to any friends needing a bed. We can’t wait for our delivery!

Would’ve been 4 – 5 stars but they blew it at the very end.
I bought a mattress from them, included foundation, frame and some other things, with their 100 night guarantee. Financing it was a breeze. The process was flawless until I decided to return it. There was nothing wrong with the mattress, it was even very comfortable. I simply had found another mattress (one of the online only companies) that I found to be as comfortable, for ¹⁄₃ the price.
I called up to return the mattress, and was told it was not a problem, i just had to come in and sign paperwork, as if you return the mattress, they have a 12 months no-​more-​returns cool down to keep people from just rotating store to store jumping from 100 night guarantee to 100 night guarantee. Again totally fair and logical. I also totally understood that I now had to pay for the freebies I got for buying my particular mattress especially as they were softgoods and not likely to be resalable. I even offered that maybe we could re-​negotiate the price (they have a price match guarantee) but to get near my other mattress’ price would have made it «below cost» for the other mattress. Still no problem, it’s just business.
My problem came when I actually went into the store. I admittedly expected a hassle. That they would do everything they could to get me to try a different mattress, or to make it a problem, but did not expect what did happen. The «area manager» noted that my foundation which I had bought on markdown (I think it had been a floor model) was being sold for «below cost» and «must’ve been an additional discount for buying my higher end mattress» and so wanted me to pay the approximately $ 400 different to what a new one was now retails for. He made a big show of it. Called the rep I had worked with 2 months ago, who of course had no memory of selling one cheaply. Then asked where I had seen it on the floor. At which point I even accused him of calling me a liar. He said «well it must’ve been a deal like when Macy’s gives you a free TV for buying something.» I countered that when Macy’s does it, they have fine print to explain it. If he could show me the fine print that documented why I should suddenly owe him 400 more, then I would gladly pay him, but if not, mistake or not, my transaction was fairly completed, paid, and delivered, and I would not be returning the foundation. At this point, he became sullen and quiet. Printed off my final invoice, and in a very flat voice read the final terms and conditions. I signed and left.
All that when I had still already spent approximately $ 500, $ 300 of which were on mattress and pillow protectors, which I’d be surprised if they weren’t high margin items to begin with. Plus I know they will be reselling my mattress (as their best prices are floor models and returns).
I might go back but will be much much more careful about who i deal with and how i deal with them.

I was planning to shop around for a mattress, but after the experience I had with Eric, I decided to purchase from this store. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I never felt pushed to buy anything and he even gave me some time after informing me of the different products to have some «alone» time to think about it. I wasn’t sure of the measurement of my new bed frame, so I ordered a box spring that was too high, but Eric had told me I could send that one back and order the thinner one. I couldn’t be happier with my new mattress! The only downside is that it’s harder to get out of bed in the morning!

My fiancée and I went to the Sleep Train in Northgate (the one furthest East as there are two side-​by-​side), after having talked about needing a new mattress for a few months. When we came in we were greeted quickly by Dayton and had quick change to look on our own before he came by to see if we needed anything, which was very nice as I don’t like a pushy retail experience – especially when it’s a large purchase like a bed!
We told Dayton what we were looking for and he showed us a few options for hybrid beds but we eventually found the Tempur-​Pedic. He made some great suggestions to save some money with other brands but said to give them all a shot and to see how they felt. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and gave us space to see what we wanted. We decided on the softest Tempur-​Pedic and went the financing route.
As a soon-​to-​be married couple, we had to try a couple of variations for the credit check and, after some finagling, he was incredibly patient, helpful, and went above-​and-​beyond to make sure that we were able to walk out of the store with a new bed. This is my second bed that I’ve purchased, and my fiancée’s first, and I know that we’ll come back to Sleep Train whenever we need a new bed… though with a Tempur-​Pedic that may be another 20 years so I’m just going to recommend Dayton, and the Northgate Sleep Train, to as many people as I can instead!

I went to Mattress Discounters not knowing what to expect. As I entered I was immediately greeted by Clint. He made me feel at ease and showed me exactly what I was looking for without any up-​sale nonsense. I asked for the Unilocal checkin discount and gat an additional 10% discount on top of that! I got fast friendly service and a great bargain price. What more could you ask for?!
I was so impressed with my experience I decided to purchase an adjustable bed. Again, I got the Unilocal discount and ended up with an adjustable base with a high end mattress for less than a regular box spring mattress set!
I highly recommend this store. If you go be sure to ask for Clint.

We were headed to Sleep Country when we found this place across the street and decided to check it out first. Joseph Little was our salesman. He was helpful but he was busy juggling a number of customers, so we had to wait a bit (I don’t fault him for that, though). The mattress I wanted wasn’t in stock, but we were fine with waiting a few days for delivery. Overall, my in-​store experience was pretty pleasant.
Things went south when it came to delivery. I was supposed to receive my mattress between 3−5pm, so I took time out of my day to stay home for the delivery. I had plans at 7pm, but figured that I had enough cushion time. Wrong.
My mattress never showed up, so I called the delivery line and they told me the mattress would be there in 20 min. That didn’t happen, so called back again an hour later. This time, they told me the drivers were just a few minutes away. 20 more minutes passed, so I called back and the line rang endlessly. I called back a fourth time and finally got through to someone who told me the drivers were running nearly four hours behind. That was a completely different story than what I’d been told.
I ultimately did not receive my mattress until 7pm. I get that things fall behind, but if you’re going to be late, CALL your customers. And for the love of god, be transparent and honest about how long the delay will be. I wasted four hours of my day waiting for these clowns to get their act together. Unacceptable.

Karl Beals helped us a lot in finding our new mattress. He was actually able to come pretty closes to a price quote from another dealer that we though was going to be unbeatable. I’d buy a mattress here again.

John Little sold me a bed today and got me out of the store in about 10 – 15 minutes… much appreciated.
He helped me find a great bed that I will cherish my nights in. I bought into the Egyptian cotton sheets and mattress protector. He will definitely try to up-​sell you, as any good salesperson should, but just say no or ask why you need it. He will gladly remove it or explain why you should get it. A bed is definitely something you should spend a little bit more moolah (sp?) on. Don’t get the microfiber sheets, go for the natural cotton or higher.
All-​in-​all I spent much more than I wanted, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be worth it… I think
PS They have some kind of secret Unilocal deal as part of their in-​store sell to you with 25% OFF SHEETS AND FREE FRAME! Act surprised when it happens to you. There’s a 4 hour time limit on it.

I’m giving this place 5 stars ’cause all the reviews are 5 stars and he basically sold me a bed in 15 minutes and all this extra stuff I never knew I needed, but definitely want.

We had an outstanding experience at Mattress Discounters thanks to Brian Curran. He was attentive but not pushy and did an excellent job of answering our questions and offering helpful guidance.
We came in with very little idea of what we were looking for and spent a couple of hours trying out mattresses
We never felt pressured to buy and walked out with a clear, competitive price quote to think over.
Brian was also great with our 2.5 year old son (he even earned a rare hi-​five).

Mattress Discounters was a decent experience except for a little bit at the end.
We had a saleswoman Deszeray help us look around. She was friendly. We had it narrowed down to a couple of mattresses. One was pretty far outside of our price range but they were able to find one that was slightly used for a much lower price.
The deal seemed pretty good based on the original price of the mattress but it was the first place we had looked that day so we decided that we would keep looking around. Brian, another person working at the time, said he could give us an additional bit off as long as we didn’t leave the store. I wasn’t a big fan of that tactic.
We ended up leaving and buying a mattress that we liked with box spring, pillows, and frame at Mattress Depot for the prices of the mattresses alone that we liked at Mattress Discounters.
Another thing of note was that the sales team felt like they needed to talk down the competition during the visit. Not a huge deal but it wasn’t anything that I experienced at the other two stores I visited.
Summary: Store was large but only a couple of mattresses for our comfort and price range. Experience with the sales staff was good except for the one pressure tactic. Was able to find a better deal elsewhere (a block away).

Yes, it’s true: There is a discount mattress store in Seattle that is worth a five star rating. No it’s not a scam. Yes I am a real person, and yes I actually purchased from here! Details:
It was the second mattress purchase I ever made, after too many years of sleeping on a «what’s the cheapest I can buy for a few hundred bucks» mattress I bought in college. This time I decided to «splurge». I wanted the works — queen size, memory foam, within my $ 1,200-$ 1,600 budget range — and they delivered (literally). I have referred one friend here since my purchase a year ago and she has been satisfied too after spending about $ 600 on a queen set.
They have a lot of different options and can help narrow down your choices by brand, firmness, size and price. Sets range from maybe $ 400 up to $ 5,000. They were patient as I narrowed down my options (after over an hour in the store, rolling around the beds). Didn’t try to sell me more than I needed and respected my budget.
Don’t forget to check in on Unilocal for the free bed frame! I forgot to do it in the store, but they honored it even after my completed purchase. I would come back if I needed a second bed sometime! Even did some price comparison shopping when I went home and their prices were actually
competitive. 5 stars all around.

Very efficient. My husband and I came in on a short timeframe but the single salesman in there was super efficient. He didn’t waste our time. He was great about showing us our options and not wasting our time with showing us things we weren’t interested in. Free frame & 25% off with a mattress protector sheet with checkin. Cannot be beat.

I was a little suspicious about the reviews for this store, as the reviews seemed almost too good to be true. I can vouch — they’re not! And they are very invested in their Unilocal reviews for feedback, although the company doesn’t respond as often as they should to interact with their customers.
I had a really great experience shopping at Mattress Discounters. Went in looking for 3 beds, one for my use and two for guest beds. I showed up at their busiest time (right after the Seahawks game), and the place was fairly packed. Brett came by quickly to give me started by setting me up with a few recommendations and a pillow to begin trying the beds out. He was then busy helping check out a couple while I continued to peruse the beds.
I finally settled on one I liked and when Brett was free he came by to help me assess the final options. He showed me some cool tricks, and recommended a number of difference styles including the movable base. I got set up with cheap deals on some guest beds, and he recommended a nice base for the memory foam mattress I bought as it was going on a wire frame.
The service was great, and I learned a lot about what I like in a bed. I also ended up getting the awesome technogel pillow used during the demo because it was so comfortable.
Delivery was fast and easy, although I failed to get notice the night before the first date and I wasn’t available when they planned to show up. In the end it worked out as the updated date worked better. The delivery drivers were fast, prompt and courteous. They had everything in the house and unwrapped within 10 minutes!

MATTRESS DISCOUNTERS ROCK!
I’m a pretty smart guy, however, understanding the difference of a good mattress is rocket science… at least to me.
I needed to buy two queen-​sized mattress and one king-​size mattress for a BnB I opened a week ago.
After going to five other mattress stores (Seats Outlet, Mattress World, Sleep Country, Mattress Depot, Macy’s) in Seattle, Mattress Discounters by far had the best best price points and most importantly Mattress Discounters customer service (Nathaniel) understood my needs and educated me on the difference of each mattress.
Nathaniel gave me a number of options to choose from, but the entire time there was no pressure.
The delivery was exceptional as well. We got free next-​day delivery and the entire experience was prompt and professional. I got a call the night before the delivery confirming the time frame in which they would be arriving, and then another phone call the day of, letting me know they were about 15 minutes away from arriving. It was great!
Not like getting a mattress is an everyday occurrence, but the next time I need a mattress (or box spring or anything related to a bed), I know where I’m going!
Two words — awesome experience.
