Horrible time at this establishment. Workers were very rude. Your job is to be happy and make my sandwich. No need to be so rude. Will never eat this subway again possibly never a subway. The owner just sits and makes you feel not welcome put a smile on even if it’s fake. You reflect your business and it shows 1st this establishment

The lady behind the counter spent the whole time she was making me sandwich complaining about customers. She gave a big sob story about how the shop lost so much money over the previous month, and that’s why she *had* to be stingy with the toppings. Then she said she’s the manager, and she blames the shop’s money troubles on people getting extra toppings or putting soda in water cups. And after all that, the sandwich she made me gave me some of the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had. I think I found the REAL problem with the business, lady. Subway has been a favorite restaurant of mine for years. This experience has made me wary of going to any franchise ever again. Avoid this place and let it die the slow, painful death it clearly deserves. Maybe the next business that occupies that property will have competent management.

Boo Subway — giving away free cookies but firing a worker for eating a free cookie!

I never review chains because what’s the point? It’s a Subway, you know what you’re in for when you walk through the door. No one should be surprised with the content of the items they order. I’m taking the time to write this review because over the last few months I’ve stopped in a few times after work when I’m in a hurry, and I’ve consistently been served by the nicest possible people. I’ve had one woman and a guy and both of them were friendly and sociable. In fast food, this is rare and appreciated. Thanks.

Went in while the employee was smoking outside. He came in after a few minutes, went to the back, and never came back out. I waited almost 10 minutes and never got any food so I left. Useless workers. If you want to actually eat, don’t come here.

Terrible food. Terrible service. Got a chicken salad and the guy made it super cheap. Hardly anything on it. Also was really rude. I will never go here again.

Stopped in because we were in a hurry to grab something before making it to an appointment. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we walked in. The one employee told us it was his first night working alone, which we appreciated being told because he was brand new and took a really long time making the sandwiches. It was an agonizing 7 minutes for my foot long then another 5 minutes for my friend’s because he made them separately and kept forgetting what we told him we wanted, plus he had to run in back and get a few items that were out of stock in front. The employee was also new to running the cash register and that took a while as well. I ended up eating as fast as I could so we could be on time to our appointment while my friend, who was trying to talk a little and not just stuff his face, only ate half of his foot long and took the rest to go to eat at home so we wouldn’t be late. The sandwich I had was a very quick and distant memory but it was the average Subway bread and the veggies were fine. This location is small with just 3 – 4 tables. There’s street parking only which is at a premium in this area. Best of luck to the new employee because we’ve all been there, learning a new job. Food: 3 Service: 3 Ambiance: 2 Parking: 2

Somehow, the taste of union busting makes all of their sandwiches leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

Subway obviously isnt the best… but to say that this store fired a worker for protesting is absurd. I have the true story from an extremely trustworthy source. He gave away free food to several groups of customers while there was an inspector in the store… Thats what triggered his termination. The store was actually supportive of his free speech and it’s sickening to see that people can lie about something that would tarnish a business’ reputation.

Zero stars(if only that was an option). Not only is Subway not very good in general, but this particular Subway fired a worker for striking and trying to organize for better wages. I occasionally grab Subway when I’m out and about because it is cheap and quick, but I will NOT be going to this Subway until Carlos is given his job back! And I am telling all of my friends to do the same.

I used to work at Subway. And the worst part of the job was wringing the extra blood out of the roast beef before serving it. Now this subway is trying to wring the blood and some extra dough from its workers. And that’s disgusting. I’m enticed by the cheddar cheese potato chips, but this subway is gross.

Firing workers for standing up for themselves is, if not breaching a law, at the very least immoral and unethical. Hence, my single star rating.

Zero stars. Let’s face it, subway kind of just sucks anyway. Plastic veggies and fake bread, loads of McMeat, all in a fast food environment. I’ll hit it in a pinch in Missouri or if I’m trapped in a lame place that has no real food. Otherwise, I’ll seek better vegetarian food out. HOWEVER, this Subway retaliates against workers who fight for a fair wage. This Subway earns its money off the very progressive people of Capitol Hill, Seattle and thinks it can act like a Tea Party thug and just throw out any worker who doesn’t tow owner Hasan Zeer’s fascistic fast food line exactly the way Hasan thinks they should –even in the employees’ free time. I’ve eaten here once late night. While that was a while back because there are so many better food, sandwich option in the area, will I ever eat here again if the employee in question(works two jobs, in school, supporting a family) isn’t rehired? Never, ever, ever again. Go to a different Subway if you must eat that company’s food-like substances. ;-)

Good for workers: Not in the least.( Unilocal really ought to add that as a category!) And that means not a good place to buy sandwiches. If I am going to by something I could get at home, it better be cause I want the community, and unions safeguard that for the people who work there. Firing people for retaliation is wrong and also, self-destructive.

Great Subway location. Disgusted that people who probably have never even ate here are retaliating against the location because they fired a worker for not showing up to work. You don’t have a right to strike. You are not unionized. Grow up.

I won’t spend my money at this Subway! The owner of this store fired Carlos, a truly gifted and brave leader. Carlos went on strike for higher wages and spoke at a rally. He was singled out and fired for the laughably implausible reason of giving a cookie to a tiny kid. Newsflash to Subway on Broadway: it is illegal to retaliate for organizing, and it is immoral to see your employees as disposable. The law is on Carlos’ side. Any store that tries to intimidate workers this way does not get my business.

I can’t believe this Subway fired a worker for participating in a strike, and then tried to pin it on giving a cookie to a little kid! The Subway chain is making big bucks, and they’re this concerned about 66¢? Please, they give those cookies away if you take a survey on ! This sounds like retaliation to me.

Here lately I’ve noticed that it seems like there is a Subway every two blocks no matter where I am in the city. This is a good thing since I’ve been on a Subway kick here lately. This Subway location is as good as any of the others. Their product is consistant with all the other stores, the staff is friendly and the location is convenient.
