I took my mother here while we were in Sedona celebrating her 70th birthday. It was honestly the worst manicure pedicure either of us have ever had. My pedicure literally lasted fewer than 10 minutes. The male technician who did my pedicure was hacking away after just finishing his cigarette break on top of the speedy work. The acrylic nails the next technician did where the worst I have ever had. They were unevenly put on, I had to ask him three different times to make them rounded instead of squared, and he put on tips that are smaller than my nails. We could not believe it when we walked out of there and had to pay $ 104. I strongly caution anyone against going here.

Avoid this place! Dirty(pieces of others’ dirty fingernails, gummy tops on products and grime). Injured two of my fingernails with over zealous filing.

The owner did my French manicure and it is beautiful. If you have never done gel before. I highly recommend. It is not much more and lasts for weeks!

I had an impromptu trip and Thank Goodness my regular guy was booked up and I was forced to try someone new. I called everyone and they were all booked up. Resigning my fate to go here, based on the terrible reviews on the guy, I surrendered and went to get my new set of acrylics. I am originally from NJ and hate to say spoiled by excellent nail techs in NJ and Manhattan. I moved here august 2014 and have tried 4 other nail places. Up till I had Jack do my nails they all glob on the acrylic and make your nails look cartoony instead of real. Jack at Silky Nails did the best job I have seen on my nails in 17 years since moving to AZ from NJ. I keep looking at my hands and my nails are stunningly beautiful. He custom picked a color for me better than I had chosen and said this will be my color. I have to agree as the neutral is the classiest color I have ever worn on my hands and toes outside of French. He made my nails look real and were just thick enough to be durable as I am very rough on my nails tossing heavy bolts of fabrics around. He gave them a beautiful square shape too. He was very pleasant, too. A tall lanky guy who cares and likes to make jokes while he does his work. He knew I was going to my boyfriends house and said jokingly he’d make them long and pointy like a cats as I am a cat lady to the core. In my opinion the people writing horrible reviews about him must have had a bee in their bonnets. If you relax and trust him and give him information about what you love your nails to look like he will deliver. In fact. I have begged everyone doing my nails up till him to grind off my real nails on the back side so they looked pretty. They all refused or played stupid. Honestly, I hate having my nails removed and a fresh set put on. It hurts so much! I told Jack and he accommodated me! He just removed the bad parts, ground off all my nails on the back side and gave me a fill and spared me so much agony. I give this guy a «10!» Excellent work and customer service. I just hope he doesn’t get so busy he can’t fit me in! Now he’s my nail guy and boy do I feel blessed! Great Job Jack!

Went today for fist time, and will definitely go back. Got a Mani/Pedi from Tom. He was relaxed, thorough, very competent, easy to talk with, and had a good sense humor. My toenails are shining with color and sparkle. My fingernails were a mess, and he cleaned them up beautifully and applied the clear polish I asked for. The place is clean, and any item that is not disposable is disinfected. Everyone ws friendly — staff and other clients. Highly recommend — will go back.

I wish Unilocal would let us give half stars. I’m not sure whether I would really want to give it three stars. The place was clean and the staff friendly enough. However, my feet were so rough after my pedi, that I had to go to Walgreens in uptown to get a pedi kit and work on my feet myself! I was charged $ 35.00 for a deluxe pedi, but the girl gave a decent massage

Prices are typical 14 dollars for a mani and 25 dollars for a spa pedicure. The people are nice, but it’s not a «spa» experience. They do an excellent job at mani/pedi’s and adding a design. There work is very meticulous and artful. I will definitely go back.

First, I don’t like it when I am lied to. Second, I don’t like it when a busiess thinks I am stupid. What a rip off! THese business owners need to figure out what«gel nails» means. They know, they just rip you off
