Fantastic dive/diner in Sedona. Green enchiladas and chile relent are awesome. Huge portions and fair prices. Highly recommended!

For you Sedona Unilocalers out there, run don’t walk to this hidden gem for breakfast. I am attaching a photo of huevos garcia which will tell you all you need to know. The only people that know about this place is the locals and now you thanks to me. I won’t go into details about all the yummy food. Just check out the photo.

Great place to eat. But could be a triple D(Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives — Food Channel.) grade eatery if they made their meals from scratch, they don’t. They use package foods to make their dishes.

We were so hungry after our hike to Devil’s bridge. Bf and his best friend ordered their enchiladas which were very salty. I ordered the fish and chips and turned out it was tilapia(which wasn’t mentioned on the menu) I was disappointed since I don’t eat tilapia. I just ate their extra dry fries instead. I wouldn’t recommend this place when in Sedona. 2 stars for the good service though.

We were in sedona and l found this place totally by accident. You can’t tell from the outside but it is amazing. Great food, really superb service and very reasonably priced. The waitstaff looked for an outlet for us when we asked to plug in our phones(rental car charger didn’t work) and we never needed to summon someone, they were on their game. We ate dinner there(fajitas quesadilla, what? When did fajitas and quesadillas hook up? Delicious!) and came back two days later for breakfast. Although I’m wary of cheap specials, they had earned my trust and I ordered the 5 dollar heuvos rancheros. Soooooooo gooooooooood. Serious breakfast heaven. Also, I never had an empty coffee cup and I can pound some coffee. Even though this is a few minutes off the ‘drag’ it is a must if your planning a trip. Save a few bucks and eat well, it’s a definite win-win :)

Delicious food with fast and friendly service. If you’re looking to stay away from the ritzy tourist restaurants and just want some good food I would highly recommend stopping here. Build your own breakfast burrito was delish!

We went in search of the $ 5 huevos rancheros breakfast, and they delivered. Great value, fast service, good food, we were in and out, and off to enjoy our day. Nothing very fancy, but it hit the spot. We didn’t return because we were on vacation, and wanted to eat at place with a nice view. They are in the Safeway shopping center, so no view, but good experience overall! And they open early, which was a great plus for us!

Had breakfast here during a recent stay in Sedona. Both myself and partner had omlettes which were large and well cooked. The service was effecient, the prices resonable for the portion sizes and the décor pleasant. A true locals place that serves good food at a fair price.

Food was outstanding and so was the service! Pleasantly surprised by the more than reasonable cost. Best cornbread this Southern boy has had since grandmother’s in the iron skillet. Plan to come back for breakfast! And another dinner …

Come before 10am for great food and great prices. I had the breakfast burrito with eggs, avocado, rice & sausage; mild salsa. I have to say it was delicioso and filling! All the ingredients had flavor! I’ll be back!

Perhaps the best service we got in Sedona and it came with some really decent breakfast. Ambiance of a small town diner, but great number of options and they did not hesitate when we asked for a substitution for the hash browns.

This place is definitely a hidden gem in Sedona. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. They have a wide variety of food that’s all really good. Chicken taco salad is SOO good and the little desserts are great.

The best service for our party of 20+. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Our waitress Cody was awesome! If you are ever in Sedona — eat here. The food was scrumptious.

3.5 stars. Wait staff was kind and attentive, but the food was just average. Heuvos rancheros was lackluster. Chicken quesadilla was slightly better. I will say that the salsas are very good– both the spicy verde and more mild red.

I’m torn between four stars and five stars because of the service. I think the food is a SOLID four stars, but our service by Angel was definitely five star service! We had very disappointing meals and terrible service this trip at other restaurants in the area. Shockingly(we weren’t expecting it) Café Jose actually delivered a better experience and more for less! It was the only meal this trip that we enjoyed both the food AND the service! I ordered the Reuben. It was very good! The onion rings were too! The day before, my husband and I went to Oak Creek Brewery and Grill and he ordered a Reuben. It was so sweet and the onion rings were so greasy! Café Jose serves a MUCH better Reuben and onion rings that aren’t dripping with grease! I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of shoestring fries. Neither is our kid and they came with his meal. Next time, we will probably order him breakfast because he loves pancakes! They serve breakfast all day the neighboring table had pancakes for dinner and they looked fluffy and delicious! Surprisingly, if you sit facing out the window, you will actually get some beautiful red rock views! We will go back for sure. Prices are reasonable and our experience was better than that of higher priced options in the area that we tried this trip!

We came here after a hike on Doe Mountain and before heading to the Grand Canyon. They have the best huevos rancheros ever! Plus, before 10am they are discounted! The coffee is great and they offer to go cups. Also, the service and value is fantastic. Great menu and very nice people!
