I have no pleasure in writing this review. I feel one-star reviews should only be used if the food that is served is dangerous to consume or the staff harassed customers. Only for severe issues… Pretty late in the evening, about an hour and a half before close we strolled into Bamboo Garden, into culinary hell… The restaurant is clad in a very yellow, dingy light, that doesn’t quite let you get a good look at the stained floor, and greasy tables. We strolled up to the hostess booth to find no one present. One of the staff walks out, give us a glare and«points» to a table off in the corner. We are a little surprised by the abrasive treatment but understand that there is a clear language barrier, which is fine and understandable. We proceed to sit and upon looking at the menu realize that this is one of those«Chinese, Thai, and Sushi» kind of places. Another larger party is then abruptly«shooed» out of the restaurant by what seems to be the owner after paying their bill. Two minutes after we sit a waiter comes out and asks what we want. We knew already, so we ordered. Not 30 seconds after we ordered did they bring out half our food. Both our appetizers and one of our entrees. This is the definition of pre-made. The food was cold, and flavorless. Two of our bowls were chipped, and as we bit into one of appetizers we realized that not only was it not good the chicken appetizer we ordered was Uncooked. NOT undercooked, but UN-COOKED a.k.a. RAW. This chicken skewer was not at all prepared. Not only that, but it still hadn’t defrosted. The egg-drop and wanton soup was passable at best, and normal iced tea tasted like tea mixed with flat Coke. We, after most of the food was a dismal failure alerted one of the wait staff who kept insisting that this was a five-star restaurant. Pathetic. We asked for a meal to be taken off the bill at least, but they wouldn’t have it. They gave us a bill we paid with no tip left and took the raw chicken home to photograph it for this review. We will be alerting the appropriate authorities. I truly hope that no one was sickened by this food, whether in my party or anyone else that has eaten here. Please avoid this place.

We ordered online after having a baby and it was super convenient. It was fast! The food tasted good, but the rice dishes were mushy. I enjoyed the crab Rangoon and the dumplings for appetizers. Sweet-and-sour sauce was eh. We would go back but think I’ll try the noodle dishes next and skip the rice. The inside looked like a nice place to sit.

We went there for dinner after we walked out of the Dillon Dam brewery where we were told that it would be at least an hour wait for a table at not even 6 pm in the evening. Bamboo garden service was great, food was awesome, overall a nice meal without an hour wait for a table. We will definitely be back there to dine.

Their food is not bad but every time we try to get bubble tea… they give us the wrong kind. I made sure to ask for tapioca pearls… but they keep giving us the pearls with bursting juice inside. Apparently they don’t know the difference. Sadly I just want good bubble tea in summit county but they always screw up. The bursting pearls change the flavor of the drink.

Quickest delivery! Was told it would be 30+ minutes and it was here in 15, delivered by the nicest man. The Mu Shu Deluxe was fabulous as were the pot stickers and crab rangoons. Was a good price for the amount of food we got, love it!!!

Let me start by saying that I have lived in Summit for 10+ years. I didn’t start going to Bamboo Garden till late 2013 because my «ex» hated the place from his experience. I decided to give it a try after he left. I have to say with all the reviews I read on the place, perception is key. There are two guys who work there regularly and the taller one is always nice to me and greets me. I specifically order the same thing every time and every time they get it right, now it wasn’t that way about a year or so ago. Pricing is reasonable given that this is a tourist place. I would say I either get take out, delivery or go here 2 – 3 times a month. I love Pad Thai with Shrimp. Today I went there at lunch and I counter 14 pieces of Shrimp, that is pretty good compared to many other places and their portions. I like that there is plenty of seating and it rarely feels crowded. Again, they are welcoming and I feel helpful and attentive. They filled my water regularly and always ask me if I need anything else. I don’t eat Sushi(I get grossed out with rice, long story) but they have something called Vansal which is a Cucumber roll instead of the typical sushi rice. It has tuna and salmon and mango in it. I tend to mix and match some things with it too. There are 6 in an order and I love them. What I say to a lot of other Unilocalers is if you don’t like a place due to the food, make them re-make it. Just like at Starbucks or most other establishments, we are paying for something we specifically ask for and expect… never settle for less. There were times over the last two years that they had peanuts in it(which I tell them NOPEANUTS) or it was too spicy(I prefer mild). So I had them re-make it. I plan to be a regular there as it feels good in such a tourist place to have people know you and you know them. The ambiance is calm and I enjoy the food that I order.

Just ordered from here for the second time. I still really don’t get the negative reviews! All the food I have had(as well as friend’s orders) were really tasty and I actually LOVE their pad thai(despite all of the other negative reviews about it)! It’s my favorite I’ve had. It is a bit different than other pad thai I’ve had,(more of an orangey-red sauce than a brown), but that’s honestly why I like it so much! Give it a try, because everyone has different tastes. I haven’t had to deal with their customer service as I always get take out, but they were more than pleasant enough during my encounters each time :-)

You can make way better fried rice at home. Definitely save yourself a trip and go to JJs instead. And don’t go inside unless you want to hear terrible pop music from 2002. Yak yak yak

We have been coming here for like the past couple years whenever were in town and every year it keeps getting worse. Im mostly talking about the sushi, the fish was not very fresh which is not good! Its pretty bad when tuna is about the same color as the salmon. Rainbow roll looked like no rainbow lol. Its pretty sad for me to give this review cause at one point this place was really good.

This place used to be the best Chinese in the county. Then about 3 – 4 years ago they went under new management, added sushi and other Asian dishes, and that’s when things went downhill. Service here is abysmal, quality is quite terrible, and sadly I’ve stopped coming here. I won’t give one star because the food is usually edible, but you’re sure to be disappointed by the service and overall quality. Drive farther north on Highway 9 to China Gourmet for Chinese or drive across the street in City Market parking lot to Nozawa for decent sushi nearby.

I’ll go with 3.5 stars. Decided to give them a try since it was late and they were still open. Sorry, but I felt like I was in some low budget porn setting with the red lights.(Don’t ask me how I came up with that analogy.) Hot and Sour Soup, Combination Curry and Unagi Roll. Everything was pretty good. Staff was nice, but mostly they were on their cellphones. A tad pricey for the amount that they give.
