Horrible costumer service. Guy was being rude and sarcastic a couple times. They make burgers and we sat there for 40 minutes waiting for them to bring food. Fries was burnt and looked like it was in oil for way too long. Left very disappointed. Even Burger King has better service, better burgers and fries, and much cheaper. I paid 30 $ for some shitty two burgers. The only that’s good there are milkshakes, and even then I can make those at home myself. But to put it all in few words, the restaurant is shit.

I don’t know if they changed owners or what but we went in March of this year and it was not nearly as wonderful as I remember. The waiter was somewhat rude like we were cuting into his time of doing nothing. The food was NOT as good as last time at all! I was really disappointed this one around.

I lived in Newport for 2 and a half years and my family ate Flashbacks at least once a week. The owners are very nice and if you have an issue with your food, they genuinely want to know so they can correct it. My wife was a big fan of the french dip and especially the ranch dressing that they make in-house. They had a very reasonable price on popcorn style chicken and fries that my kids would typically share. I didn’t personally eat there that often because it could get spendy. I do like their BBQ sandwiches and their ribs are decent, but not great. I never tried any of the ice cream, but I got some shakes for the family a couple times and they liked them a lot. The real issue is the wait time. There were many times when customers(including myself) would enter the front door and and it would 3 – 5 minutes before we were greeted. Not because we were purposely being ignored; they just didn’t have enough staff on hand. Some days it got busier than others, so they usually ran a little on the lean side and didn’t have enough people working, which led to longer wait times to be seated and to get food. Overall, this is a very good business with good food and great owners. If it were frequented more often then I’m sure the staffing could be boosted and then there wouldn’t be any compaints.

My daughter & I ate there last night. We were seated promptly by a very nice & attentive waitress(Jessica). She took our order when we were ready, and checked on us several times while waiting for our food. The wait for ‘okay’ meal was ridiculous, and it wasn’t even busy. Cute decore though.

Nice lunch diner. Has arcade games to pass time. Bacon cheeseburger, and Swiss mushroom burger were fantastic. French fries are a must, and the strawberry shake was perfect. Not thick or runny. Clean environment.

Everything was delicious! I ordered the teriyaki burger with waffle fries, a side of chili and a chocolate shake. The burger was so tasty. It wasn’t dry like other places I’ve been. The staff was very polite and attentive and the place was clean. Fun little arcade, good atmosphere. Will go again! :)

Angry staff and poor food. I came here years ago and they served me raw chicken. I thought to try the ice cream at the new location and give the place another chance. Horrible. I never should have come back. Avoid this place like the infested toilet that it is. Why the health department has not closed them down is a question I can find no answer to. Perhaps they bribe the inspector. Or maybe they are related. In short, have a great time at the coast and avoid this place like the cesspool that it is and the scummy people it is populated by.

Service was better than what I read online. Teriyaki Burger & dip sandwich were the fare. Both were good. Onion rings were good. Kids running the place. Had trouble splitting up the bill between our two couples. The Tables could have been cleaner. The bathroom was very clean.

Very poor customer service. The employee’s are obviously unhappy. They are all walking around frowning and not making eye contact. My Chicken strips tasted alright, which was great because I ended up sharing with my kids who received burnt pizza and spicy wings that were so hot they couldn’t eat them. The milkshakes were good. The cashier asked if we enjoyed our meal, I told her«No», she replied asking for my payment-still no eye contact. I gave one star because no star was not an option!

The food was decent enough, nothing to write home about. The place is basically run by teenagers, i didnt see one adult when i was there. The service was horrible. Skip Flashbacks, not worth your money.

First of all, I gave this place two stars instead of just one because their milkshakes are decent(you can have a shake made from any of like 20 flavors of ice cream) and because the kids love to play air hockey in the arcade. Those are literally ALL the positives. Really, I guess, Flashbacks should get, like, 1.25 stars. We’ve been three times now, and the food and, especially, the service just get worse and worse. This most recent time, for example, I was there with a group of eight people, and we ordered a bunch of food from their ridiculously enormous menu(it’s one of those places where they somehow make burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, calzones, and a hundred other things, probably all from frozen). The waitress, who had already screwed up the order, brought five forks, four knives, and some napkins and said — I SWEARTHISISWHATSHESAID, AND I HAVEWITNESSES — «This is all the silverware we’ve got for now.» Excuse me? Your stupid restaurant is maybe 1⁄8 full. Where did all the silverware GO? What do you do when the place is packed? We joked that we should go to Wal-Mart, buy some cheap forks, and donate them to Flashbacks. Anyway. That’s the kind of place Flashbacks is. But hey, there’s air hockey. And milkshakes.

My wife and I stopped in here looking for a quick lunch last Saturday. She ordered a salad and I ordered a Pattie Melt(their spelling). ½ hour later I received the absolutely worst sandwich I have received in my life!!! Words cannot describe just how bad this food was… I seriously looked for the cameras!!! My sandwich’s cheese was turning glossy and yellow… the grilled onions? HA… try cold and hard… the meat… a 3 inch square and burned on the edges. My wife ordered a salad and it was LETTUCE… only LETTUCE… wait, she threw a carrot at me! If you eat here, you deserve what you get. ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE!!!

Bad food. Expensive prices. Service was awful and took forever(why were they so unfriendly?). Same 5 songs on repeat over the stereo. My standards aren’t that high for a burger joint but come on. Just go somewhere else.

My daughter and I stopped in at Flashback’s this evening for dinner. We received a prompt friendly welcome, were seated moments later and our friendly waitress had water to the table right away. She was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. My daughter asked about milkshakes ad was told she could have one in any flavor of ice cream the offered… something like 30 flavors. She asked if they should make a orange sherbet milk shake and they said a cream-sicle… of course with a little vanilla in it, too. It tasted wonderful and was presented equally well in an old-fashion milkshake glass topped with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry(and the rest in the metal milkshake cup. The onion rings were thick and crisp… perfect. The Teriyaki Burger and Fish ‘n Chips hit the spot. The chowder that came with the meal was thick and well seasoned with lots of clams. We played a few games in the arcade and dropped a couple quarters in the jukebox. Over all a fun experience. We’re thinking about stopping back in tomorrow for sundaes.

I am beginning to think theres no good food here in the Oregon Coast… the place was empty at 12:30 lunch time, we were skeptical when we came in though hubby is very hungry already so we just thought maybe we will give it a try. The price of the food is not too bad though the soda is a little high plus you need to pay 25 cents extra for every refill. The food is big portion… it was not too bad compared to the last two restaurants that we have been for the last couple of day

I ate 3 or 4 meals here about 5 years ago and loved it. Had one meal the other day and sadly it will be my last. Our food way mediocre at best. It was pretty deserted. Great atmosphere though.

My husband & I stopped in because the place has an attractive diner look to it. The décor is 50’s &60’s cool. The service was appalling! We were ignored by all 20 employees. I have never seen so many employees do nothing at the same time. They were literally standing around looking at each other, not the patrons. My husband’s burger was burnt and my steak was not cooked to order. The onion rings were good, however. We will not be going back.

Flashback’s is a diner slash malt shop with an arcade that tries to recreate a «Soda Pop Shop» from the 1950’s. They have«mostly» genuine red vinyl booths and Formica tables. Vintage toy boxes and Betty Boop pictures blanket the walls and in the background you hear a jukebox that looks like it’s from the 50’s, but plays music from the 60’s. I love my burgers, so i ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and some onion rings. Onion rings were great. Hot and crispy. The burger was OK. The burgers were frozen patty’s and not fresh ground beef so they weren’t very tasty. The bacon was a little odd tasting as well. The triple chocolate shake I had, on the other hand was amazing. The staff was friendly and the overall experience was good. This place needs some tweaking. Almost a 3 star diner. Come for the fun décor… Stay for the ice cream.
