Slow service. Took well over 40 minutes to get my food. It was served cool and wasn’t right. This isn’t the first time we have gotten this service here. Disappointing for what I had to pay. Waitress never even bothered to refill my cup. Saw her only when my food came out and when she wanted me to pay. Fastest service was her taking my money.

Service is slow here, it seems as though they do not have enough staff to keep up with business. The inside is very nice and clean. I would love to see more menu choices for lunch and dinner, especially the kids menu(which only has two choices, Mac and cheese or grilled cheese)

HORRIBLE!!! Still had a $ 10 gift card to use so we sucked it up and returned for an even WORSE meal than the overpriced runny egg breakfast the first time! My husband ordered the over 55 pot roast dinner for $ 8.99& I the BLT sandwich w/fruit for 8.99. TOOKCLOSETOANHOUR and finally my sandwich came out without the side fruit!!! She finally brought the fruit out after another 10 minutes without my husband’s meal! Another 15 minutes went by & I literally felt sorry for my husband!!! His plate had a small portion of slop of «boil in the bag» brown gravy with a few strands of beef, a scoop of «wall paper paste» instant potatoes, & a scoop of canned corn!!! The waitress said his rolls will be coming out soon!!! They never did. NEVERAGAIN! ONLYWISH I HADONLYUSEDTHE $ 10GIFTCARD, BUTALLMEALSWERECLOSETO $ 10EACHMEALANYWAYS. WHAT A TERRIBLEPLACE!

Every experience I’ve had here has been so awful that I wish it allowed me to leave zero stars. The service is slow, the food is lukewarm at best and no one seems to care. I live in Plainville and would rather drive to the Wallingford location than ever step foot in here again. I was so excited to see an ihop closer to home and now I simply cannot wait until it’s gone. Save yourselves the time and aggravation and go somewhere else!!!

Hey this new IHOP is pretty solid. We had 2 great experiences here, with 2 separate waiters. Both were quick, got the entire correct and the inside was very clean. I like this location a little better then Wallingford. We just go for very basic breakfast– and the pancakes are delish. OFCOURSE.

So I went into IHOP in Southington the other day and I regret that decision. I went with my wife and daughter on Sunday and was told that there was going to be a 20 – 25 minute wait. Not a problem but after 40 minutes of waiting and parties that had come in after us being called I went and talked to the hostess. Apparently wen they were erasing names as they sat customer our name got erased. Not a huge issue at the time; the hostess assured us that we would be sat next and was apologetic. However when the girl who was sitting people came back I saw her talk with he hostess and look in our direction but instead of coming and taking us to our seat she called my wife’s name«Dawn» which a gentleman Don took to be his name and the hostess let them have the seats without correcting them. At this point in time I was livid and spoke with the manager who had agreed to comp our«meal». The waitress took our order and then 5 minutes later came back obviously not having put our order in to confirm that she had the right order. And the waitress who cleaned off the table next to us did a very through and vigorous, so vigorous that she was flinging food at my daughter. And the food… I will just leave the description at, over salty canned hash, runny scrambled eggs, and forgotten toast… Never again, this is one restaurant that i cannot wait to close down in town so a good eatery can take its place.

Service was great but all the food is cold. It’s so sad when your pancakes are colder than the butter.

Do not bother! Overpriced and I mean ridiculous. They don’t even offer the Monday through Friday weekday specials which can run you about 5 dollars or less for two eggs bacon or sausage toast and hashbrowns or pancakes instead of toast(4.49) in orange Location. Plus other under 5 dollar weekday specials. The owner is a thief to rob people of specials aside from national advertised specials. I would never patron this ihop bc owner is not giving back to you! Sorry! Lousy

I just wanted to say that I am very appreciative of the meal your store provided me for Veterans Day. The staff was extremely welcoming and courteous and the food(which was actually breakfast for dinner ;) was outstanding. Zero complaints

Oh boy. My buddy ran one of these. He nailed it. Great start to begin and will fall off 4 – 5 months later. Well over the summer cars were there constantly, and now there’s nobody there after 11am. Dead. I realize it’s a breakfast business but even in the mornings this place is just ok. Weekends seem busier but few times I’ve tried it service was average at best. Price is average. Biggest thing with this location is it looks run down already. Has the«been open 5 years look» and only been open 6 months! Maybe bad contractors or cheap paint not sure. Anyway this place being gone in 1 – 3 years is a pretty safe bet. Get lost Ihop!

I have not been to IHOP in YEARS… but I remember being very excited about all the different syrups as a kid and I’m always seeing commercials advertising tasty sweet breakfast options. I was feeling a little naughty yesterday morning and decided I wanted something indulgent for breakfast. I settled on the Cinnamon Roll French toast with eggs and hash browns and hubby got chicken and waffles. I never had chicken and waffles before(I know, EPIC fail) so I tried some and I really liked it! My French toast was very cinnamon-ey and gooey with icing… it was delish but a bit much after a while. Eggs and hash browns were a bit cold… not a fan. I am sure I ate 10,000 calories consuming this meal… but I DID say I wanted to eat indulgent style. I would come back here like once a year for breakfast items. not willing to go the whole lunch and dinner route.

This may be the worst restaurant in Southington by far. Every time the food is slow, not matter how many people are there or what time of day it is. Food is terrible and cold and no one on staff cares.

Tried the crepes for the first time and they seemed undercooked but the addition of bananas and nutella made it ok. The hash browns were a bit oily and the bacon looked really strange. I like bacon crispy and that’s what I request but it did not looked right, tasted ok though. The waitress was prompt and professional. Not a fan but will give it a try again.

The french toast is amazing as well as the home fries, bacon and coffee. I order it every time! The Southington location is fairly new and as others have stated, yes the waiters/waitresses are young and new and we had to wait quite a while just to be waited on but anythings to be expected when everything is new. This would not be a place to go if your in a hurry and they get busy fast! We’ve gone a few times before 9:30 am and that seems to be the best time on the weekend to get in and out without a wait.

I would guess breakfast is their forte although I haven’t tried their supper yet. The service is good n reasonable priced. If u like a hearty meal the Colorado omelet is to die for. Three kinds of meat.

3 times we’ve been and 3 times not 1 person got the correct order. I complained and floor manager was receptive but the General Manager essentially told me he doesn’t care that service and food quality was sub part even for a chain and he didn’t care that we won’t be returning.

It wasn’t bad at all… After reading the reviews, we were half minded to go there… It’s like any other IHOP… Good food… Good service… Won’t mind going there again …

Service was a little slow because the restaurant was busy on a Thursday morning. Pancakes were good, but the sausage and hash-browns were a bit bland.

Not bad small portions for the soups. Berlin does it right. If you need pancakes and in Southington just go to IHOP
