We have purchased a bedroom set and a sectional from Morris Home Furnishings. We purchased the bedroom set in 2013 and we were so happy with it and the customer service that we purchased the $ 3,500 sectional in 2014. With both of these products we purchased the Guardian protection plan, which cost us an additional $ 289.95 for each purchase. The sectional recently had a frame break for unknown reasons. We have no children or any other reason that the sectional would be subject to significant trauma, so we can only assume that there was a weakness in the frame that gave way when someone sat on it. When we reported this to Guardian protection, they said they would not cover it because we did not know specifically how it happened. All the pamphlet that they gave us said was«includes coverage for these types of mishaps: …Breakage of the wood frame or other hard surface from a single incident.» I was so upset about this, I called Morris Home Furnishings customer service line. The lady was very nice and informed me that even though Guardian wouldn’t cover it, the sectional still had a 5-year warranty. If I wanted it fixed, it would cost me a $ 60 dollar travel fee to have someone come look at it. Then, depending on what was wrong, I could decide if I wanted them to do anything about it, because it would cost $ 100/hr to repair the problem. This is not a warranty. This is scam to get more money out of you for a cheap product. I will say that the customer service representative told me that after we registered the product with Guardian we should have received an e-mail detailing all the specifics of what they would and would not cover. I do not ever remember seeing this e-mail, but even if it was sent, this information was provided AFTER we spent an additional $ 289.95 and purchased the protection and not before. I would STRONGLY caution you against purchasing anything from Morris Home Furnishing or their related company Ashley Furniture, that has any internal breakable parts or something you’re not going to be able to fix yourself. If you do purchase anything from them, I would caution you about getting the Guardian Protection they offer You would just be throwing more money away. There’s a reason that on ConsumerAffairs they currently have a 1.7÷5 star rating based on 63 out of 185 reviews.

I bought an entertainment center at Morris because it was significantly cheaper than on Wayfair. Yeah! but when I got it one of the glass doors was broken. The delivery people noticed it and said it would be taken care of by the customer service department. I have since spent the last two weeks trying to get ahold of someone to take care of the door. I have left countless messages with Susan at customer service and have received no returned phone calls. I am currently been sitting on hold with their customer service department as a type!!! I will never purchase from this store again.

Morris is a third party company for Ashley furniture and they were awful with the transaction. According to Ashley I was supposed to get my furniture within 3 – 4 weeks, but Morris called and said it would be 8 weeks… for something that was NOT on back order, yet they had no reason as to why. They didn’t return calls when they said they would and they sent email confirmations with the incorrect information. Super disappointed.

Like kathleen below, my wife & i bought a couple of armless LR chairs, which i picked up upon arrival. Once i got home, and opened the boxes, i quickly discovered that the chairs had no legs! Four 2 foot legs just not there, on both chairs!!! No wonder they were so cheap(lol). Still awaiting resolution. Will updates Update: 14 more days still no results. Just avoid this place. Too many other places to shop that appreciate your business & strive to make things right. Sad.

I found furniture I liked and bought, however; inspect everything well before the truck leaves. My wooden pieces had indents, some dis coloring. Most annoying was the missing pegs for the bookshelves. Went back to store to inquire, still do not have them. Once they have your money…

One-stop shop for all your home furnishings. This place is HUGE! And all the furniture stores are connected in this strip, so you can enter in one and walk through ALL of them. It makes it easy to browse and find exactly what you want. I was looking for something very specific and was surprised to find that the staff in Morris knew a good bit about the items for sale in the stores next door. They were happy to point me away, even though it meant losing a sale. That’s good customer service. There are a lot of furniture stores in the Tri-County area, but I’m going to start my furniture shopping at Morris from now on.
