Ruby Tuesday

Place is always accommodating for our large group whenever we go here for lunch after church. Clean appearance, and friendly helpful staff. Food was good. I had the shrimp and grits, which was good, but portion was small. I’m taking the waiter’s word though that it was real and not instant grits. My wife had the pretzel burger, but they ran out of the pretzel buns, so she had it on a regular bun. The waiter was friendly, and was deserving of a nice tip. Thought the music was up a bit loud, but it was tolerable. We got our meals quick, and everyone seemed to be pleased. The pumpkin cheesecake dessert was worth having room for after the meal. Price was fair, and we didn’t feel rushed to hurry up and eat. Will most likely stay in our rotation of places we eat after church. Was a very enjoyable experience.

What we were expecting when we went in. Service wasn’t to die for, however it was July 4^th when we went in. The appetizer came out quickly, and the food as well. Both the food and appetizer were delicious. Will go back when we shop at the mall.

I dread the «where do you want to eat» question, because invariably the conversation goes badly. One child wants Mexican food, while another wants burgers. hubby is on a salad diet and I want a steak. One place that never fails to please, is Ruby Tuesdays. Ambiance is great for date night or family meal, and prices are very affordable. Some of my favorites are the petite steak and their grilled chicken meals. They are great to accommodate special diets, like gluten or dairy-​free, and have heathy sides to choose from. Their adult beverages are great too, and not overpriced. Best of all is that you can almost always find a coupon online, making Ruby’s even more affordable.

I travel a lot and prefer to dine at local restaurants in whatever city I stay in. This day I was just tired and Ruby Tuesday happened to be across the street from my hotel. Not wanting to dine in I ordered a take out salad. I paid, they handed me a bag and off I went. To my surprise, they had separated all the elements of the salad into three small take out boxes (like Big Mac boxes). Why on earth would I want them all separated. It was take out, not like I had a big platter in the room to mix it all back together again. Why on earth would they even think of doing that? Very disapointing. It reminded me of why I don’t normally go to Ruby Tuesdays.

Ate here twice this week because we are in town on vacation. Ordered takeout the first night. Dined in the 2^nd.
Any place that goes above and beyond for food allergies is a good place for anyone to eat. It means they take their food prep seriously. They specially cooked chicken for our boys to avoid cross contamination, and brought the manager out to discuss how they were prepping the food to make sure it would be okay and to give us the choice. Very friendly. super helpful.
Oh, and they didn’t hand me an expired allergy menu! Usually, I get an old allergy menu the first time and I have to request the most recent menu. They gave me the current menu the first time! Amazing! I’m super impressed. They took great care of us.

Saturday night. Ordered coastal trio togo creole type, 19.99. Host claimed it was busy and had me repeat my order like 4 times and forgot an extra side i ordered, didnt charge me for it though, so thats good. Service was good & quick of course obv right?. Food was good. Forgot my utensils, napkins. Gave me 3 shrimp though on a barbie o.O. Idk if thats right but its cool. Got two lobster tails though ¯\(°_°)/¯. Would i go back? Yes, but make sure everything there b4 u go! Haha ;)

My husband and children enjoyed their food, I on the other hand left hungry. Our waiter was nice, but didn’t notice when our drinks were empty, or when my pretzel burger was brought out on a regular bun. He brought the kids plates out first, okay-​he only has 2 hands. One of my kids had all his grapes and half of one of sliders eaten before my husband and I got our food. And, with kids with us, and almost done before I got my wrong food, I just had him take it back and remove it from the ticket. The manager also never came over about the situation, which I found odd.

We both had salad bar which was nice and fresh but not that many choices, no crackers they gave us these dried out muffin things kind of like hush puppies but not as good. We both ordered drinks and after a very long time I got my wine which was fine and my husband got a vodka and tonic with no lime or stirrer? The waitress was not really friendly you could tell it was the end of her shift. But it was your typical chain with no frills or fun

Our server James was excellent. He kept the table clean and us entertained, more so than any other server I’ve had anywhere. My NY strip was spicier than expected but I liked it. The salad bar was great as usual. No Dr Pepper, only Pibb but I suffered through it. Others at my table liked their meals as well.

Way to go Ruby Tuesday! I placed an order for carry out last night, and my husband was so irritated that they did not get the order correct, and although it was close to our hotel, he was too worn out to go back. So, why on earth four stars? Because most of the food was cooked perfectly, and the manager delivered the missing items. As a lifetime Kansas resident, you rarely see such beautiful FRESH lobster EVEN when the word is in the name of the establishment (yes, THAT one), and you wouldn’t believe how few restaurants in the Midwest can cook a steak properly to order, and this Ruby Tuesday’s did that! Sorry if my bar seems low, but quality food in restaurants seems to have become extinct on the Plains! The Lobster tail was perfectly prepared, sweet, tender and mouthwatering! The Lobster Mac N Cheese was creamy and delicious! And yes, the lump crab cake was seasoned perfectly. Three different forms of seafood, and all three cooked right on the nose! Very raw in these parts, and the chefs deserved a hug for all three!
My sirloin burst with flavorful juices and was the most perfect «medium“steak I’ve had as far back as I can remember! It burst with flavor and juices! It’s sad when a sirloin stands out just because it was a nice quality and cooked perfectly, but sadly that’s the reality in the land of meat and potatoes. The sliders were sliders, but yummy and not over cooked. The biscuits were still warm when we got them back to out hotel. Sides? Very good snowpeas, and baked potato. Disappointments were the greasy grilled zucchini, and believe it or not, the salad bar freshness. I’ve eaten at many Ruby Tuesdays and this one is doing it right! Well done, pat’s on the back to the entire staff! Will eat here every time I’m in Springfield!

What was I thinking?
As an «adult» I try to avoid chain restaurants. However, I was on a road trip with my mom and we were nostalgic for the days we would frequent the Ruby Tuesday’s on Olive in Creve Couere. This ruined it for me.
Our server was nice and attentive enough. We ordered four drinks, one kid’s meal and three salad bars. Our check was $ 50. Sorry, but for $ 10 I can get a gourmet 2,000 calorie salad at the finest of corporate establishments. This is not a cool price at all. Especially since the lettuce was fading, the dressings were not labeled and at least three items were empty on the salad bar. What a sad story.

When I ate here my water glass was never refilled for 1 hr & 15 mins that we were there. I got a alcohol free lemonade and the waitress gave me a drink with alcohol in it and failed to tell me until 10−15mins later. Asked if there was any reason I couldnt have alcohol and I said yes im pregnant! She then says good thing you didnt drink the whole thing. She didnt even apologize or offer to do anything. I will never go back to this restaurant. The food is good. Salad bad is good. But that was a horrible experience and bad service!!!

This was a nice restaurant, and the service was good.
The salad bar was excellent, everything on it was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. We arrived at what seemed to be a very busy time for the restaurant, so there was a line for the salad bar and they did seem to be struggling to keep the stock up, but I got everything I wanted.
I was trying to be healthy, so I went for the veggie plate and ordered roasted spaghetti squash, mashed cauliflower, and roasted green beans. I wasn’t really impressed with the first two items, but the roasted green beans were good. Truth be told, the hamburger and fries entrees of my dinner companions looked much tastier. They said they really enjoyed their food. Everything was presented nicely. Overall the restaurant was a bit more upscale than I expected, but then again this was my first visit to any Ruby Tuesday.

Wyatt and Melissa were most friendly and fast! The food is fresh and tasty! I’ll be back, fer sure!
