This place is SERIOUSLY amazing!!! My friend who is a real foodie like me, suggested I come here for breakfast. Her words were this.,“it’s an amazing bread, eggs and coffee kinda place” so on her recommendation I had the cinnamon french toast made with their in house made fresh bread. I don’t even like french toast and it’s soo good! Especially with the butter they give you. Every day they have a nice flavored coffee of the day that never disappoints and even the side of ham is on point! I come here every weekend for breakfast. The atmosphere is super quaint and relaxing too. Nice tunes play and the fans are on lightly creating a soft breeze. Just perfect! Highly recommend !!

Place is okay. Food is decent, but what really stands out to me is the overall cleanliness of the place. The bathroom is FILTHY to the point were I’m hesitant, I would say the restrooms in Penn Station are cleaner, no joke. Not sure what to do about this… I have been here a few times, but I think they need to put some thought, effort and elbow grease into fixing this place up to keep their business(minus the grease). I will probably wait awhile before I return.

Please change the hours for this place on this website. I worked very late one day at the hospital and wanted to go to a café not named Starbucks but this was closed and I wondered how the hours could be listed so off. It effects the open now filter by doing this.

This place is wonderful. We stopped in for breakfast before my son’s Jiu Jitsu class one Saturday. I have been here for a good cup of coffee in the past, and the breakfast did not disappoint either. The omelette I ordered was great and my son raved about the Belgian waffles. I recommend getting there early for breakfast and enjoy. I have to try lunch the next time I am in the neighborhood.

Usually get the Buffalo chicken spinach wrap here and it is very good. Their chips are delicious. This is a nice little spot with a friendly staff and fast service!

I certainly liked the looks and smell of this place. The service was sort of atrocious. I’m not being ageist, but everyone appeared to be in middle school and there was zero organization or efficiency in seating or serving. Food was average diner food.

I can’t speak for the food because I FORTUNATELY used the restroom prior to ordering… And proceeded to immediately walk out of the establishment because the bathroom was absolutely filthy from top to bottom and I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen. I lost my appetite. PUREDISGUST. My mom claims the food is decent– I will never find out for myself.

I just watched one of their wait staff make himself a sandwich bare handed, reaching into the cold food bar. Then he licked his fingers and ultimately picked his nose with a tissue wrapped around one finger. I kid you not. This actually happened. When you have a staff so young it is important to teach them what is appropriate in food service. Especially that GLOVESSHOULDBECHANGEDBETWEENHANDLINGFOODANDMONEY. that being said. My French toast was pretty good, and the potato tot things are real tasty.

This place seemed right up my alley — cute, local and hidden away. I’m sorry to say I was wrong. My first mistake, I think, was getting breakfast instead of lunch. The housemade chips I saw on other people’s tables looked great, but the breakfast I’d ordered was decidedly a deep disappointment. It started with the coffee. It was pretty decent, full-flavored and bold, and I understand it’s kitschy to have mismatching mugs … but a pharmaceutical mug that was obviously a free promotional item? Kind of cheap. The last thing you want to see at breakfast is a pharma brand. And the plastic soup spoon offered to stir in your half and half? Weak. I got the vegetable egg white omelet, and never have I EVER had such a greasy«healthy» dish. It took FIVE napkins to blot the omelet — one for the top, 2 for the bottom, and 2 for the middle, which I had to open up and blot because it actually aggressively squirted oil at me when I cut into it. To make the greasiness even more pronounced, it was served on a cheap plastic plate, emphasizing the slide of the food even more. The cinnamon raisin bagel was among the worst I’ve ever had. The only bagel that was worse was at Bagels and More on 111 in Islip, and that place was so horrific that I wrote a bad review and had to take it down since the owner sought out my personal info and threatened me. It was overtoasted, super skinny, small, and just an overall let-down. It wasn’t sweet, and there weren’t a whole lot of raisins. But mainly, it was just a skinny, scrawny little thing that lacked flavor beyond the burnt crust. The holes are huge, and the actual dough section was barely an inch and a half wide. They were misshapen, too. I love bagels, and this is only the second place on LI that I’ve ever not been able to finish a bagel. The«tater tots»(a total misnomer, btw) are a saving grace, but they’re actually whipped potato croquettes with a nice crispy crunch. These were NOT too greasy, and were flavorful and delicious. The husband’s corned beef hash wasn’t very exciting either, and his sausage and egg sandwich was also very, very greasy and on a weak bagel. All in all, I was let down. At least it was cheap.

We LOVE the Tic Toc! Sandwiches, Soups, Salads a cut above your standard fare. An imaginative chef. Grilled Veggie salad & bacon/avocado wrap our favorites. Nice small-town atmosphere, friendly staff.

Although I usually like cozy mom and pops the awkward layout here and service leaves much to be desired. St. James restaurant scene is elite in my book, so I don’t know why this place is as busy as it is. The prices are typical for the area, me plus one ate for about $ 27. The portions are small for what they charge. The service was terrible. They were nice but the waitress took 20 plus minutes to get to us another 20 plus to get us drinks, what we ordered is not exactly what we got, but that was the last we saw the waitress. The food was good, but the service was so terrible and price didn’t match the portions, or quality. I doubt I’d go there again.

Excellent soups, wraps and sandwiches. Coffee is very very good. I agree with StableGI nice background music. I have been here for breakfast also. Good egg sandwiches, crepes and pancakes. Did I mention good coffee? They offer a plethora of mixed coffee drinks, smoothies and teas. Ice coffee is tasty and brewed on site, not a mix. Staff is friendly and extremely competent!

DONOTEATHERE Take it from someone that’s experienced the worse. Ate lunch here almost every other day while working down the block. One day I get chicken for lunch — tastes a little funny and my boss states ‘the chips were cooked in fish oil’ that day Well, 45 minutes later sickest I’ve ever felt my entire life. Ended up in the ER a week later. Couldn’t work for 5 months which is a loss of a lot of money especially when paying for college. 2 months later I have to get multiple surgeries, $ 45,000+ later I have a disease that will last me the rest of my life and could leave me with cancer in another few years. Weighed 105lbs this August and thought I was going to die by falling asleep for 2 months straight. I’m a 5’8″ male average weight 135lbs. Have to take pills that cost $ 300 per fill now. THEYSHOULDBEPAYING. No lawyer will take a case and now I’m living with a disease from the terrible food they sell. Wish I never ate here and also heard my friend felt the food was bad while she was pregnant and they wouldn’t give her a refund. They could have done worse to her and her baby! It stresses me out to think what could have happened to them. The owner thinks compensating you by giving you a free lunch makes up for it — valueless. Wish I could give it a negative star rating This establishment needs to be shut down.

Was a regular here when I lived in St James. They specialize in sandwiches but it is good for dinner too. The food is great and the place has a very quaint charm too it. Good place to chill and get some java as well. Sometimes they have live music. Definitely a fav in my book.
