Service was slow because there was only one waitress on a Sunday afternoon. The food of course isn’t authentic Mexican. The food is ok for American Mexican food. The beer list is impressive I give it 3 stars for that. The margaritas are good too.

Meh. The menu looked delicious… my mom said the food was delicious… a bunch of people I know said it was delicious… I found it bland, dark, and service less than par. I had the drunken shrimp over rice. It was bland, and the rice was cold. Plus they threw in peas and carrots… of the frozen variety which is gross the menu said bacon and I tasted none. I also asked for a side of beans and they were mushy and stale. I’m thinking they were left over from the night before? Same goes for the chips. And when adding hot sauce to my shrimp to liven it up with flavor, I ordered a soda refill. 10 minutes later it showed up. My husband said his food was bland as well. Plus the corn bread was crumbly and gross. I won’t be going back. Only reason for two stars were the kid’s potions.

This place is a charm. Great food, great service and great cocktails; all reasonably priced. We always have a nice time here & recommend Adobe Blues as a Go-To spot! Try the Fajitas & Enchiladas!

The food is amazing. I got the nachos with ground beef as an appetizer and then the chimichanga as my entrée. The nachos were a huge portion and so delicious the chimichanga was sooo good. I will definitely be coming back soon

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. It’s a neighborhood restaurant that offers tex men for a low price. The food is out of this world. If you have a thing for nachos this is the place to be! Their margaritas are great but their extensive beer selection is what keeps everyone coming back. I have been there about 20+ times in the past two years and never have I dealt with anything less that full professionalism from everyone. From the owner to the waitresses and bartenders. If you like Jose Texas but hate the wait time there then this is the place to be !

Started with jalapeño poppers and mini tacos. Both were great. Mini tacos really are mini, so don’t be scared when you see they serve you 10 of them. Chimichanga is awesome. French fries were pretty good as well. Very large beer selection.

I heard a rumor that Adobe Blues was changing ownership, Which could be a good thing as this staple of the North Shore could use a Dusting Off!

The best authentic Mexican food on Staten Island. I’m not a beer person but I know their beer menu wins awards almost every year. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy for a nice meal. I recommend the mini tacos or the fajitas. Why go over the bridge for Jose Tejas?

I can’t believe we’ve never been here before! This place has been around since I was a kid. We finally went for the first time and this place rocks! Awesome food. Beautiful cantina décor and feel. Very family friendly. They have great sangria and a long beer selection. We went for lunch on a Sunday and had a great time. This place would have been a perfect 5 stars but like many reviewers said, this place is understaffed. There was only one waitress on a Sunday afternoon and there was at least 6 or 7 tables with half of them parties over six. She wasn’t just waiting on tables, I saw her mixing drinks behind the bar too. She was very good though because we never waited too long for anything and she never looked overwhelmed and always had a smile and was pleasant. I do like this place over Burrito Bar and Pacos. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is pretty good but nothing crazy. The drinks are pretty good, especially the margaritas. The ambiance is casual and the décor is neat. The place is small and the service is not great. The wait staff is always overwhelmed even though the place only has like 20 tables. I waited 20 mins for a table when there were 4 open in the dining room. For a lunch place when it’s not busy this is the place, or a date that you want to be stuck at the table for 2 hours this place is good. Bottom line… 4 – 6 waitresses plus a couple busers for only a handful of tables the wait is outrageous!

We went here with our two young boys after a trip to the Staten Island Children’s Museum. The boys shared a quesadilla which they devoured and said was«better than Chipotle» which is pretty good. I got a burrito and the wife got enchiladas. A little bit cheesier than I’d ideally like but was pretty good. Great for kids — they had crayons, coloring sheets and kids cups. Always appreciated!

Great beer selection, solid tex-mex food, cool servers, and live jazz on Friday nights! A nice place to take out-of-towners, family, friends, a date… You get the idea. A great find in our little Isle of Staten. So a bunch of friends from Vermont decided to visit. These beloved Vermonters also happen to be complete beer snobs(something I know little to nothing about), and especially ravenous on that particular Friday evening. While I typically enjoy the role of adventurous know-it-all tour guide, tonight I wasn’t up to it. So, I suggested my fail-safe — Adobe Blues! Drinks: We ordered two chocolate stouts(which were«Great!», so I was told by our beer-snobby friends) at the bar, and endured a 40-minute wait to be seated. This was thanks to your typical Friday night shmoozers that refuse to give up their tables long after they’ve paid their bill. Not that I’m complaining… I, too, am guilty of shmoozing on occasion. Anyway, I digress. Food & Service: The complimentary chips and salsa were pretty standard. I liked that the corn tortilla chips were warm, thin, and crisp and that the salsa packs just enough punch to perk you up, not light your eyebrows on fire. We couldn’t keep our grubby little hands off of them, especially after we found out there are free refills ;). Tacky? Sorry. After waiting 40 minutes for a table, the good news was there was almost zero wait time for our food to come out. Everyone was satisfied with their meals; we ordered the chimichangas, steak fajitas, loaded nachos, and two sides: corn nuggets and sweet potato fries. All solid dishes, nothing to knock your socks off, but not disappointing by any means. The waitress was fun(she wore a tiara… ha! I loved it. I should have told her that), and attentive. She never hovered but was always there when we needed her, which I appreciated. The Entertainment: As we were all nom-noming our way through our dinners, we noticed a morose-looking older gentleman with his equally morose-looking female companion in the back corner of the joint. He was holding a saxophone. They have music here? I didn’t know that! So we were pleasantly surprised with a live jazz performance as we continued our nom-noms. Jazz in a Tex-Mex place. Go figure. The music was LOUD, so loud that we had to shout at each other to hold conversations. I didn’t particularly mind, but some in my party did :-/The good drinks and service more than made up for it, however. To sum up, Adobe has been a part of New Brighton since forever, and it’s no wonder why. Exceptional drinks, service, and decent grub. Come here on a Friday night with your loud, obnoxious, shmooze-loving friends, with family or out-of-towners for a nice night out, or for a quick bite and a brewski at the bar — you won’t be disappointed.

Over 100 beers from around the world served in a Tex-Mex saloon with a very atypical Tex-Mex menu. Low-ish light and a fireplace, very friendly atmosphere that accommodates date night, laundry day, taking your toddler out for an enchalada, or your unconsolable friend out to drown her sorrows in ale and guacamole. Repeat customer, because they have multiple varieties of Scottish brew, which is my favorite, and there’s a major bus line that stops right in front of the place(S44?). Desserts look divine, but I always eat way too many of their delicious tortilla chips to have room for bourbon sauce bread pudding. One of these days I’m going to read the menu backwards.

…THEWHITESANGRIAISAMAZING! That had to be the first comment. I am more of a red sangria person but I as recommended the white so I tried it. Definitely didn’t regret it. If only it was a litttttleeee bit stronger. Regardless, my favorite place. There were three of us and we each got dinner and split the pitcher and it was about 15⁄20 dollars a person. Reasonable prices. Although I am not a beer person this spot definitely has quite a selection of craft beer. Maybe when I go back ill try some. I had the cowboy burger [plain it comes with quite some things on it] and it was one of the best burgers I had. It was absolutely amazing. Their steak [stole some from a friend] was also amazing. Juicy and not overcooked! Overall I had a great experience. Great waitress and quick seating. Cozy but not stuffed. I will return without hesitation.

I would say that Staten Island it not known as a place to get craft beer. But thanks to Adobe Blues not only can you get an amazing selection of craft beer but the food is absolutely amazing too. My boyfriend has been going there since he was a little guy and was the one who introduced me to craft beer. The selection is amazing and extremely impressive. If you are fist pumping guidos this bar is not for you. Go drink your coronas and bud lights elsewhere… the island is full of places for you to go. This place is for people with dignity and respect for others and who aren’t afraid of trying different styles of beer. The food is to die for, Get the chorizo quesadillas or the Nachos… get the chicken chimichanga or the black bean cowboy burger. The staff is amazing. I moved to Portland, Maine recently and came back to visit. It was like I never left. I told my co-worker here in Maine that they had Maine Beer Company and he was impressed that Adobe served them since they are still pretty small. Spend a night there and you will keep coming back.
