Very frustrating and disappointing shopping experience! I asked two employees for the location of garden seeds. One didn’t know, the other wasn’t sure, and rudely only pointed in the general direction. I walked for 5 minutes… never found the garden seeds… walked out the door. When asking for a rain check for a sold out item, the female cashier didn’t know, the second cashier didn’t know, a third man asked didn’t know, and finally a fourth man said «no rain checks given.

I needed to replace my broken garage opener. I like Sears Craftman brand over other name brands and it was on sale. This was the closest Sears to my house that sell garage openers. A hardware store similar in size and pricing to Ace Hardware. Prices are more expensive when comparing to Lowe’s or Home Depot. The store itself is bright, clean and well stocked. Products are easy to locate. However, I saw no saleperson to ask for help. But I did not have any problem locating the garage openers section. The check out lady was very nice and helpful. For general hardware needs, I still prefer Home Depot or Lowe’s due to lower pricing.

I bought a can of paint that was defective. The cashier created more problems that he solved. He couldn’t figure out how to exchange one can of paint for another. He finally figured out that I owed money on the exchange. I asked for the store manager and told him what I wanted — a simple exchange. He told the employee what he needed to do — which he couldn’t figure out. Eventually another cashier took over and made the exchange. The store manager did right, but the execution suffered.

I would not recommend this place. Employees were not that helpful. At Home Depot they’ll tell you «aisle number 10». At Sears they pointed and said «somewhere over there» and «over there in the back». Granted the store isn’t too big, a little bit more precision would be helpful.
Just go to Home Depot or Lowe’s.
