I always stay here when I’m visiting. It not fancy, but it’s clean and the staff is just great. They are so friendly and always willing to help. The ladies that run the breakfast area are attentive and ever so nice! I often travel and stay in places that are 4 – 5 times the price but I really like staying here when I’m in the Sumpter area simply because the staff is so nice here!

I just had a horrible experience with the front desk staff at this hotel. We were experiencing flooding in the city and I called the facility at 6am to reserve a room as our apartment was flooding. I provided my credit card information and was assured that a room would be available for me that day. After squaring away what I could at home and arranging for a place for my dog(they do not accept pets), we realized we would have to walk since our cars were flooded. I called the hotel to make sure our reservation was still on file and was told by the RUDEST man at the front desk that he tried to call me to tell me he had given my reservation away. He did not try to call me as I had NO missed calls or voicemail on my phone. He claimed he could not get through but my phone was fine during my numerous calls with State Farm and my landlord! He had the nerve to hang up on me after telling me he did not have time«to deal with me». Really now? Isn’t that your job to deal with customers. He should not be at the front desk of anything, much less in a hospitality role. Don’t stay here! They are terrible and a bunch of rude, obnoxious liars!

I have stayed in Hampton Inn in many states. This one is old and does not live up to the national brand standard. Desk people were friendly and kind as they provided me with a complimentary can of fabreeze to mask the dankness!

Booked me in a smoking room even though my travel agent requested non-smoking. Front desk lied to me. Mold everywhere. Do not stay here.
