Only. Putting 1 star because they deserve it but they should be more clean and serve proper food last time they gave me an expired mustard

This restaurant was so quick, got us in the door immediately after trying to go to other breakfast spots. I swear it feels just like you are dining at home. I will come back again

This place is okay but nothing special. I’d say it’s a push b/w Hobee’s of Sunnyvale and the Denny’s down the street. The omelettes are a decent serving size but it’s fairly average in terms of taste. The service is good. You’ll get a decent breakfast but it’s nothing to write home about.

Saw this place and we said why not? This we such a good choice! The peach coffee cake came out super hot and was delicious. The pancakes were great and the omelette was large. Our server, Carmen, was very friendly and attentive. Overall, great food and experience.

This place is great. Just went for Mother’s Day brunch and they had coffee, balloons, and cheesecake. Very nice. Good prices, good service. HUGE coffee cake. Bring a friend(or two!). Some kids activities, high chairs available, and bee accompanying servers — everything you need to take a baby to brunch!

Food was good, service was ok. The food arrived and at that point we realized we had no eating utensils. The wait staff did not notice this and made no effort to remedy it until we requested the ability to eat. Also hash browns here are apparently potato chunks. Other then that things were tasty.

Maribel is a good server. She looks for the best deal for us. Coffee cake is always great. Tried the raspberry coffee cake last time I was here. Very good. Cinnamon tea is spicy. Love that

Hobee’s Ahwanee is a 2nd rate restaurant. My friend and I both ordered the salmon eggs benedict. The flavor was decent, but the salmon was NOT fresh; it had a stale taste. And the blueberry muffins were 2nd rate. We have eaten at other Hobee’s in Cupertino, Mountain View, and Palo Alto — all of these are much better than at Ahwanee near 101 in Sunnyvale. Avoid this place. The waitress was good.

since i had the day off, i came here for brunch on dr. martin luther king jr day and it was actually pretty full around 9am! but fortunately, my two friends and i didn’t have to wait long for a table, and we got a spacious booth to share, next to the window! they actually had a «mlk» special for the day, which was an omelette with bacon, cheese, and some veggies, but i failed to make the connection between this special egg dish and the late dr. king. maybe if there were some potatoes or fried chicken or biscuits included, i could understand, but that wasn’t part of this special entrée. regardless, both of my friends ordered this special and enjoyed their omelets with coffee cake and a cup ‘o joe. as for me, i ordered the stanford cardinal omelet which consisted of chicken, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, fresh spinach, jack and cheddar cheese and topped with tomatillo sauce($ 10.95). i modified this order by requesting egg whites only, no cheese, and no tomatillo sauce. the omelet was quite large and definitely made for a very high protein meal, given the amount of chicken and egg whites. i also had a side of two slices of whole wheat toast(dry), to supply some good, whole grain carbs to the body. the meal was delicious and i actually ate every bite! i also appreciated that they did not charge for the egg white request, unlike some other restaurants who may charge up to $ 3 for egg white only dishes. service was prompt and friendly and they even split the bill three ways onto three separate credit cards, upon our request. very convenient location in silicon valley, just off 101& mathilda. just watch the left turn coming off the freeway ramp b/c it’s easy to miss!

I was disappointed by the appearance, condition and taste of my salmon taco entrée. It arrived in a bowl with a large handful of tortilla chips(no salsa). The two tacos were encased in cold, uncooked corn tortillas, filled with a mango/cabbage slaw and small fillet in each. No sides. No salsa. Just an overabundance of tortilla product.(about 70% of the ‘dish’.) The salmon and slaw were fine, but I wish there was more slaw or some other veggie or fruit to balance this dish out and satisfy my hunger. Avoid this item on the menu.

Decent coffee but other than that I didn’t like anything. The omelette though huge were greasy and tastes like chain restaurant type. Very ordinary and cheesy. Note to owner– cheese is wonderful but is not a fix all. The toasts with butter was more like butter with toasts. Come here if you want to speed track yourself into cholesterol induced Health issues.

All Hobee’s are dinery, but this one take the(coffee) cake. The décor is soooo dinery. Plus, it is next to an Inn and a gas station #diner I love the orange cinnamon tea and coffee cake. Unlimited soup and salad bar ftw #diner Plus the servers here are so nice, asking every couple minutes if we’d like a tea refill. #diner Perfect place for a nice cup of tea, lounging, and shaking off the winter hypothermia. #dramaticdinergirl

Let me start off my saying that I love diners. They provide fast and friendly service, pour endless amounts of coffee, and will even feed you at the buttcrack of dawn! It goes without saying that I really liked my first experience Hobee’s this past weekend. Early Saturday morning, I’d dropped off my car at a nearby auto mechanic and looked around for breakfast. I happened to catch sight of the Hobee’s sign, and — like a caffeine-starved zombie — hobbled towards the restaurant. There were plenty of tables, so I was seated right away. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and, of course, endless coffee. The eggs were poached really well, and sat on two crispy and buttery English muffins. The Hollandaise sauce did not feel too heavy. The dish also comes with a side of crispy potatoes… yum. Dense and comforting :) I quickly transitioned from sleepy zombie to human in half an hour. All in all, a good breakfast to start the day off right.

Here for Father’s Day, as is our tradition. Today I tried their Grilled Cheese for Grownups, and I deeply admired the swirly rye bread. The sandwich is a cool concept but it doesn’t «cohere» — the apple slices kept popping out of the sandwich, and sp they might benefit from being chopped smaller. It would also be neat to have a creamy tomato soup option as one of the sides, for dunking… Grownup or not, we never outgrow that ;) I appreciate, as ever, how the restaurant is very vegetarian-friendly and accommodating to substitution requests, and I appreciate the friendly helpful nature of the staff — our waiter had such a fatherly expansive smile, and it felt like we were personally in his care.

One of the many Hobees locations. They are known for their delicious(LARGE servings) coffee cake. BLUEBERRYCOFFEECAKE is YUM. They usually have blueberry and then they’ll most likely have a seasonal special(ex, right now it’s cranberry walnut.) I must say, I am impressed. I finished a whole one mostly by myself. In my defense, I only had half a meal and a salad. I ordered the All American Omelette that had Brocolli, red onions, bell peppers, etc. I had it to share with my brother and the kitchen actually split our omelette into two mini omelettes for us. I would like to say that it’s portions are large. All the other dishes looked delicious. It may seem like a breakfast joint, however, my sister quite enjoyed her pasta that had chicken sausage and mushrooms with penne noodles, lathered in a creamy sauce. I thought it was great. The prices are a bit steep, however the servings are quite large. To add a salad to your entrée is pretty cheap as well. I advise you to hit the salad bar and PILE that tiny plate like a mountain. The salad bar seemed fresh to me. I wouldn’t come here all the time. It was simply convenient. The service is a little slow, and don’t expect the waiters to come around and check on you too often. WARNING: Hashbrowns are not the«hashed» browns you would want. They are more like country style potatoes… I like potatoes hashed and crispy.(*smh*) SPECIALS: FRIDAYCOFFEECAKESALE!

Hobees is a-ok in my book. I’m a bit disappointed that they closed down the Campbell location, but that’s ok, they still have plenty of locations throughout the South Bay to keep everyone happy :-). I Really only go to Hobees for breakfast and to eat some of their world famous coffee cake! I mean, this stuff is amazing and it is always HUGE! I prefer the blueberry one, but they have the original and the seasonal which is cranberry going on in the winter months. The food here is also very good, I love their selection of Eggs Benedict, the«que benedicto» is awesome! Their potatoes are also top notch. This location is a bit rundown but it has an old school diner feel to it, which is nice. In my mind, Hobees beats Denny’s(right across the street) and IHOP any-day of the week!
