We went there on a Saturday around 8AM and the place was empty. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The food was a little dry, we ordered a cheese quesadilla and some spice beef hash with eggs and both were dry. It wasn’t something i would say you have to try when in LA but if you cant find anything go here.

What I love about this place is it is consistent. If you order something today and like it it will be the same next week or next year. The food is good, better than chains like Dennys. The service is always great.

Run, don’t walk away. It saddens me that I have to give such a low rating to a local business. I truly wanted to like this place and went several times before I wrote this. My last visit was a little over a week ago and I have to say it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I took my two grandchildren and their Mom there for dinner. Although it was not busy, it took forever to order and receive our food. The place is really dirty. Taking my granddaughter to the restroom was not much better than taking her to a gas station restroom. The food was really terrible. But the worst? I ordered coffee. After drinking most of it, I noticed red lipstick on the cup. I don’t wear red lipstick. Needless to say, we all got grossed out. When I pointed the problem out to the waitress, she took the cup, but did not say a word and did not return. When leaving, I went to the register and was told by this same waitress that she wouldn’t charge me for the coffee. What about the rest of the uneaten food? I’ve noticed that they have very few customers and most of the time the parking lot around them is empty. Maybe they should use this«down» time to clean the place up and wash the dishes.

If you’re looking for the kind of place your parents used to take you as a child you’ve found it. No frills, dated décor, good food, friendly service.

The service is good, they’re always nice. My parents love this place. It’s clientele is usually elderly or groups from local businesses. Their salads are okay. Their foods need more seasoning. Good place to bring the kids.

I am having the Asian chicken salad, and it is very good ! The chicken is tender, salad and mandarins fresh and noodles crispy ! Great place !

Good ol fashion place to get a typical American breakfast with a few Latin dishes to spice things up. My family and I have been having breakfast here for years. Simple, delicious and super friendly staff.

Sunday breakfast here is AMAZING!!! So many memories made here. The iced tea is always freshly brewed. The clam chowder is sensational. The pancakes are so good along with the omelettes. And the chicken stir fry is really tasty which there was a bit more rice though.

Horrible Experience! Went on Veterans Day and they had two cooks and one waitress working. Took 15 minutes to get drinks, 30 to order food, and an additional 30 to receive our food. This coupled with at minimum six tables needing to be bussed(dirty plates all over…). Super gross and understaffed!

This place has been around forever and has a very good history of having your«American Dream» come true. The current owners at this place; two of them were cooks and the other one was a bust boy. The three amigos bought this place around 2002 — 2004 became very proud owners. I do admit the place look outdated, but the food is pretty decent. Breakfast is delicious. I also like their burgers. Dinner is OK but it’s great considering the price.

Went there this morning as a 2nd choice because my 1st choice does not open until 11am. I was feeling Mexican so I ordered the Sonora with country potatoes. I was disappointed in the taste and the flour tortillas were like chewy rice paper. My mom had the pancake combo I tried cutting them for her and they were rubbery and hard to cut. I tasted her pancake and I had two bites they were chewy and spongy. I was really disappointed in the quality in the food. The service was great though.

Everything was delicious. I had the French toast combo with bacon. Nice thick slices of bacon! Excellent frnch toast. Place was very busy. Don’t understand the poor reviews. It’s really good food. Get over yourselves you snobs. I almost didn’t come here based on the bad reviews.

We have limited choices here in Sylmar. You’d know this if you grew up here. This place has been here forever. The décor is dated & it might look dirty but it’s not; just give it a chance. The menu items are good. The chili is the best thing on the menu for lunch or dinner. Breakfast item that I recommend are the country hash browns with any egg dish.

So apparently I been here before when I was a newborn, but today is my first official time ordering and trying their food. It’s a cute, outdated place. We went today(Sunday) around lunch, waited about 5 minutes to get seated. Would have been sooner, but they had to clean the table. We sat towards the back where there’s a big wall window. What you end up seeing through the window is bunch a dirt, a lamp and other stuff. It’s covered, luckily. I really liked this better than if it would be open and just staring at the Big Lots and CVS, but if they fix this little outside area they have and added some flowers or something else it would much better to look at. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good enough to come a second time, maybe not often but i will probably go again and try other stuff on their menu. This visit I ordered fish and chips, it came with a slice of lemon, tartar sauce and a salad that is brought to you before the meal you ordered. The boyfriend ordered the bacon hamburger with fries and a chicken noodle soup. It filled us up, the burger was super greasy but he enjoyed it, he did say the soup could have had some more flavor but still good. My meal was good as well, some what greasy but not yucky greasy. Give it a try you might like it.

My favorite omelette here at Fiddlers is the Chil Verdi Omelette. I like the country hash browns and get my omelette with corn tortillas

Classic American diner. Pros Lots of parking Lots of seating as long as you don’t mind the random broken chair! The one person we interacted with seemed nice. Cons Fried chicken was awful. Tiny little pieces that were cooked with some wacky sweet crust and way way waaay over-cooked. The salad that came with the meal was rather small as well. Maybe 5 or 6 bites worth but I do have a big mouth so maybe 7 — 8 bites for a normal person. Place needs a facelift. Lights are burnt out, faded, dusty fake flowers. I’m on the fence whether to give this place another try. First impression makes me want to avoid. I’ll update my review if I dare to go again.

Quite good for the price, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. While there are many old people, and it does feel a bit stuffy, it’s not completely creepy and boring. The food is always good, I really like the cheddar broccoli soup.

This is a cute little old school restaurant with an obvious regular following. We went here to meet up with a friend and it was about 1:00pm and the place was hopping on a Saturday. We tried chicken dishes and I enjoyed a chicken salad with avocado. I am newer to the area than my friends, who have known this location for years. Service was attentive, the place is clean and bustling. I don’t understand reviewers who find it useful to comment that a place was decorated by old people. I look forward to reading their reviews when they get to my age and can appreciate a reasonably priced menu, multiple choices, good parking situation and a nice place to meet up. The décor is definitely old school but it is kept so well and looks great. There is a television on in the back room so that we were able to keep up with some basketball too. How cool is that! Definitely a good spot.
