Rooms are hot no breeze. A fan might work. No ice. Trains blow horn every 15 mins. Kmart is a mile down the road.

After breaking down in LV, we left late and had a long drive home. We were too tired to continue so we decided to stop at a cheap hotel because who cares, we just need to sleep. Sleep is not what I’m getting, the bed is super cheap and uncomfortable which would be fine but who can sleep with a train that keeps going by and literally sounds like it is going through our room. This place is so outdated, small and not worth $ 60. I probably would have slept better on the side of the road in my car. Plus side is that I sadly have seen dirtier hotels and although I don’t feel like this place is the cleanest, it’s not the worst. Avoid this place if your smart!

I’m super annoyed with prior bad review. I would like to give 4 stars to even out the overall score but instead I will just hope people read my review before deciding against this place. I’m glad I checked for myself. If you are familiar with and comfortable staying at the older hotels that aren’t nasty but aren’t a holiday inn, this place will be just fine. It was clean, seemed updated(carpet, tile, etc). It had an in room fridge and microwave. Toilet was sanitized. No trash can in the bathroom was a little annoying but manageable. Let me warn you about the trains. The tracks are across the street, and if the windows are open(as ours were), it literally sounds like the train is in your room. My husband and I are both very sensitive to uncomfortable beds, and we both slept ok. The deadbolt/door chain was broken which I didn’t like. And the woman who checked us in was very nice. Oh yeah, $ 59ish for 2 beds.

Again… where’s ZERO stars when you need it?! Run, do not walk… RUN away. Dirty and creepy! I went to look at a room and felt dirty for hours. Nasty sunken bed and a skanky hoodrat chick pulling up to what appeared to be her current residence while I was there. Seriously — these old motels in Tehachapi trying to sell themselves as quaint are anything but!!!
