I love this place and have been coming here since they opened. Delivery isn’t always available, but they whip up great dishes very quickly for dine in and take out. Recommend the boba, pad thai, and Vietnamese egg rolls, and the sesame chicken.

I ordered takeout and I decided to get a meal off the menu that it stated that it had shrimp. As soon as I got home I saw my plate it had zero shrimp. I decided to give them a call and the owner decided to tell me that the online menu are not up to date and that the dish has no shrimp. He went on to say if I wanted shrimp it would be 3 dollars per shrimp. I asked to maybe change the menu for future costumers and that’s when I started getting yelled at. He said that I was no one to tell him what to do and that it’s expensive to change the website and he doesn’t know how to. He went on to say if I don’t like my dish to don’t return. I wish I had read the reviews before coming here.

This dude freaking rocks. He’s a one-man band and the Spicy Phở rocks every time. The place might be for a front, but it’s still good. Keep it up, dude!

Food was undercooked, didn’t bring me a menu just asked what I wanted to order, overpriced for the quality of the food, no wonder the place was empty Was just messaged by an employee at Thai Basil and just got harassed. If you want to insult someone, please make sure your spell is correct. Haha

I was headed for another establishment and passed by this place. Vietnamese food suddenly sounded good, so I decided to stop in. This place is very interesting inside… they have a hodgepodge of a bar and also sell 5 Hour Energy. Atmosphere is dark and depressing, although you do have a nice view of a service road and I-25. It was a one-man show apparently on this day – the same guy looked like he was cooking and serving. The table I was seated at was dirty. He brushed off a few crumbs but there were still some remaining. Lunch specials come with rice, egg roll, and crab rangoon. When I asked for some mustard to go with my food, I was presented with a bottle of French’s. Huge downgrade for this – if you’re going to offer Chinese-style entrees, you should have appropriate condiments on hand… offering American mustard is insulting to your clientele. The entrée I ordered(basil chicken) had good flavor notes and quite a few different vegetables, but there was very few pieces of chicken. Took seven minutes to get cashed out when there were two total people in the restaurant. I wouldn’t go here if you were in a hurry. A few other people have commented on having the owner’s kid in the restaurant. While he was very well behaved and didn’t cause any commotion, I don’t believe this fosters a professional atmosphere. Keep the kid out of sight. A couple of months later I also got a nasty message filled with expletives. Avoid.

Strangest attempt at Pad Thai ever. Ordered it for take away lunch based on the glowing review below… what I got was Pad Thai noodles swimming in a vast lake of deep red liquid, which tasted a lot like barbecue sauce. No indication that tamarind or fish sauce ever touched the dish, but there were strange overtones of spices not unlike those you might put in apple pie. There were large slivers of celery(?!), and the meat was sort of like jerky, very tough and dry and almost translucent. Bizarre. There was an egg roll and wonton included as well. These were fine.

Wish I could try this place. They charged me 40 bucks before calling me to tell me that they had no driver. The money i paid eat24 is not paid to them so now they want me to pay them 35 bucks to pick up my order and get my 40 bucks back from eat24? Now I have to go through my bank or eat24 who knows. UPDATE Payment was reversed, so I’m bumping to 3 stars for that but not using eat24 again when I can just call the restaurant.

I’ve lived close to this place for awhile now. Finally went… And liked it a lot! You can get your phở present spiced or original. The ambience is super… The owner was polite to us and his son is SUPER cute! Outside seating and retractable walls… Plus the only phở restaurant that I’ve seen that sell booze! I’ll be back.

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Nasty place and nasty owner. We ordered the fried rolls and after biting into one there was a huge piece of hair sticking out. I couldn’t even finish my Phở it made me sick. The waitress didn’t charge us for the rolls but when I asked the manager about not charging my bowl since I was going to puke he started getting mad at me. He told me to go to the emergency room and send him a bill. I’ve never been treated so poorly. He kept telling me I was welcome to not pay but that he had my plate number and would have me arrested. I tried explaining that they didn’t even apologize for the hair he just kept getting more mad. I asked who the owner was to say something he just told me he wasn’t there. Then the waitress tells me that he’s the owner. The table was dirty and the food was not good. We won’t be returning ever again!!!

The food is decent everyone says the owner and management sucks, I’ve seen him be rude to a woman over a delivery order, but I haven’t had any bad experiences there until tonight. There was a new waitress which was horrible but the owner picked up on her bad service and made it right. It’s not the best phở I have had but is by far not the worst. The owner always takes care of my family and especially my kid.

Beautiful place. Beautiful view. Food has improved since I last visited. Very friendly owner, just a shame that the area is lost and hidden. Great place, just needs people who have good experience is serving customers.

The service here is so awful. I’ve never left a bad review bc it’s just not worth my time, but I’ve never had a bad experience like this. I ordered a blended Thai tea boba while I looked at the menu, and when I got it it was watery. So I told him I had asked for it blended(I’ve gotten boba here before and they gave it to me iced instead also). So the waiter– who I think is the owner, got mad and raised his voice to tell me he just blended it. Then looked at my friend and asked what she wanted to order. That is just so unprofessional, I’ve definitely never been yelled at for asking someone to fix my order. For the record my boba either wasn’t blended or he didn’t add ice before he blended it, I don’t know what he did. The food was also bland and average tasting.

The phở was just ok. We tried to make conversation with the staff there but they didn’t seem to care about customer service. The place looks run down and we had a really hard time finding the restaurant.

The food was just ok. The raw steak for the Phở seemed a little stale. The noodle bowl might have been better if it was hot. Be warned you should NEVER order for delivery from this place. I called after 90 minutes and was told the driver left 20 minutes earlier. At 2 hours and 15 minutes I called back to cancel the order and they finally had the delivery driver call me for directions. The food eventually arrived(at our neighbor’s house) 2 hours and 30 minutes after I ordered. To add insult to injury there was an $ 8 delivery charge. For half the cost I could have gone and picked up better food at other places nearby.

This place is great. Friendly owner. The soup is fantastic: light yet flavorful. $ 7.96 for a medium bowl and $ 3 extra for a side soup bowl with extra meat. Well worth it… side bowl same amount of broth as the medium bowl(minis noodles). Clean modern restaurant as well.

The food is delicious, but the owner Byron is very rude! My sister and I were regulars until he started raising his prices every week! We paid to $ 9.85 for the Vietnamese rice noodle bowl with chicken last week and today we paid $ 10.70! My sister asked him why it was more and he said the prices go up! He’s never prepared and is very short and rude! I don’t care if I have to drive to Federal Blvd to get some decent phở at a reasonable price and good customer service!

This place is horrible! They are WAY over priced, the food is bland, and the owner/manager is so incredibly rude and openly contemptuous. Honestly, you could not pay me to go back

PSB is now one of my favorite places to eat north of the city. I took my mother to lunch a few months ago hoping to find something new and delicious. We did just that. I have now been several times as the food has been amazing every single time. Today I had the combination pad thai for lunch. It came with a choice of soup and a cream cheese wonton… both were absolutely delicious. All for under 9 bucks! The combination noodle bowl and panang are also at the top of my list of faves. Tell and or take a friend, it will be worth your time and use of taste buds.

This place used to be a bar called Whiskey Dicks that closed several years ago when the economy got bad. When Phở Spicy Basil first opened I was apprehensive because the outside wasn’t very appealing. The owners of the restaurant really did a great just fixing up the interior. Since my first visit, I have been here several times. They have great lunch specials and there is always a lot of people dining for both lunch and dinner. My favorite thing to order on the menu is sweet and sour chicken. The sesame chicken, basil chicken and cheese wontons are also very good. The food is reasonably priced and the food is tasty, I’m a fan.
