terrible customer service staff. i walked into this store for the first time with my adopted lab to get her nails trimmed and immediately was met with a staff member finishing up with another customer turning to me and saying loudly, «oh what a chubby dog! look at that chubby dog!» standing there, baffled and confused by her unwarranted remarks, i said, «thanks.» and walked to the back of the store. when it became apparent this thoughtless employee was the only person around, i immediately left. i would never give this store my business if they employ rude people like this. i certainly hope nobody shouts something like that at her when she enters a store someday.

Staff is very kind and helpful! Their rewards program is awesome… Love getting a break on all the pet food we buy!

We hit this place up often.
Located in the shopping plaza next to Baskin Robins, Big sport 5, and Ham radio outlet.
Our fur children prob eat higher on the hog than we do. They go premium with everything. Cat litter, food, toys, vet supplies, treats etc. They have adoptable cats on site here so give a new few kid a stable forever home.
They have rodents and lizards here too.
Grooming and Training here for dog people.
Ample parking and just around the corner from a decent Thai place.

Not one of my better Petco experiences. Prices poorly marked and the cashier majorly messed up. Kori charged me full price on discounted items, then didn’t know how to fix it. She called a coworker for assistance, then wouldn’t let him help her. I had to swipe my card three times. She insists I did not get double charged. My bank only has the higher charge. I have been overcharged $ 16.99 and don’t expect to see my money again.

I bought a bag of Natures Variety raw frozen cat bites. I opened the bag at home and the bites were in a solid ice brick.
I called the cat food company because the directions on the package say to «scoop out the bites.» Well, the bites were unscoopable due to mishandling of the food. The company advised me to return the food and to not feed it to my pets. Petco is selling raw cat food that has been defrosted during transport, then re-​frozen in their coolers. This is extremely dangerous and could make pets very sick.
Also, the rescue cats up for adoption are living in filthy conditions!

This Petco has friendly employees and great customer service. I frequent here and am never let down.

I go here all the time for my African Grey food. great selection and prices are average. They have a good rewards program if you take advantage of it. I wish they had a method for informing me of discounts when they mark down for due to expiration.

I love this petco! I know it’s a chain store with many many locations but it’s the people that work here that make it so amazing. Everyone knows my puppy as I bring her every weekend for puppy play time, which btw is the best idea ever as I don’t know many other people with puppy’s to socialize her with. They are always asking if you need help or have any questions, thy even carry my big bags of food out to my car. Five stars for sure!

The managers price matched an item for me down to an ebay price. Saved me 25% instantly. The puppy play group is a great idea and I’m thankful to have a facility where I can have knowledgable trainers helping me learn to socialize my giant German shepherd puppy. The store is always clean and plentifully staffed.

You know you frequent a Petco too much when the manager says he should put you on the pay roll! But this is my fave Petco in the area and its close to my office so its a convenient lunch break stop, especially when I bring my pup to work as often as I do

Wow, this is probably the friendliest pet store I’ve ever been to.

They remodeled!
Gone is the dark, low-​ceiling, funny-​smelling, and poorly-​organized Petco i said such rude things about a few months ago! Now it’s well-​lit, better-​organized, and smells, well, like a pet store, but that’s better than smelling like a dumpster full of rancid cheese. The ceiling is still pretty low, though.
So yeah, it’s a petco. You can buy your relatively common pet foods, treats, litters, and whatnot here. If you buy some fancy-​pants brands for your pet, they probably don’t carry it, but you probably knew that already.
They have a wall-​o-​fish to choose from if you prefer damp pets, and a small selection of rodents as well. I’ve never purchased anything living from a Petco, though, so i have no idea what you’d be getting into.

It’s a big box pet store with loads of cheap wares. Don’t look for quality or high end anything. If you want to buy a cheap beta tank and a mostly dead beta, this place has your ticket.
Also, I’ve been 3 or 4 times and only ever encountered the «B» crew staff. If they have premium staff there, they have them hidden away for other customers.

It’s A-​OK, now. I have a story to tell…
My brother-​in-​law bought seven saltwater fish from this Petco. He was so excited, they were so pretty and colorful, and full of life. He took his new pets home and carefully acclimated them to his tank. After a while he introduced them, on by one, to their new home. They all swam and… swam…happily! The next day he was horrified to find his beloved yellow tang DEAD! Taken from him without a moments notice!
He looked around, the other 6 little fishes still seemed OK, swimming around and… swimming…more (they’re fish, thats all they do really.) So he thought to himself, «There must have been something wrong with THIS fish.»
So off he went back to Petco, to see if maybe he could get a new fish, he needed something to fill the hole left in his heart where that happy little yellow tang used to live.
When he arrived at Petco he was greeted by a mean troll behind the front counter. He sadly showed the deceased fish to the troll and said, «The other ones are OK, but this little guy just didn’t have it in him… Can I have another?»
The mean troll cut him off! He said «No you can’t have another! It says right on your receipt, we don’t guarantee saltwater fish!»
This went back and forth for some time, but the mean little troll just didn’t want to help, so my sad brother-​in-​law decided it was time to go and never come back (here is where it gets really good!) As he left he dropped the fish in its little plastic bag coffin and placed it in front of the door and told the little troll, «You can keep this then» and went out side and got in his car.
The little troll jumped over the counter and ran outside, scooping up the dead little fish in his grubby little hands, he ran right up to the car and slammed it right on the windshield and screamed, «YOU TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU!!!», then scurried back inside the store.
Needless to say my brother-​in-​law was a little upset by the troll’s actions he took the poor little fish, placed it back inside the store, along with a stern warning for the troll, that if he did it again, he may just have to open a can of whoop-​ass.
The sneaky troll waited for the car to pull away and yelled (not kidding here) «you’re the brown stuff that comes out of your butt after anal sex!»
Yes you just read that right, that is what the Petco troll screamed across the parking lot.
Now, why would I give this Petco three stars you ask? That’s because we called and reported this incident, and within 24 hours we were informed that the troll had been sent on his not-​so-​merry way, they exchanged the poor little fish, and my brother-​in-​law lived happily ever after.
I applaud the quick actions of the management here. In the future I may up my rating, but for now, they aren’t the best place to meet my needs because I like saltwater and their selection is small, and prices are not very good. Maybe that will improve though. They are generally cheaper than Petsmart, and USUALLY pretty friendly. The manager was very concerned about the experience and expressed true regret that it happened the way it did. I say give these guys a shot. If you have issues talk to the management, if they have trolls working for them they may not know it unless you tell them!

Not the very best PetCo around, but it’s close to home when I need to grab something in a hurry. The employees aren’t especially helpful, sometimes you have to wander around to even find them! The store is small, but they have basic necessities.
