I seriously just got served hot garbage. I ordered a «street taco» and a «classic chicken burrito» and the meat was so dry and over cooked that I couldn’t even bite through it. Unreal. I can’t even eat it. I have never ordered ANYTHINGANYWHERE that I could not even eat. Window lady was nice, but that doesn’t make up for the disgisting, pathetic«food» they’re serving their customers.

Asked for chicken tacos. Employee decided for himself which chicken taco I wanted and rang me up for the most expensive chicken tacos. Money refunded. Received the carbon chicken tacos that I wanted to only find that the chicken was diced so small it was like pureed. Unenjoyable

So glad they came to town. It’s one of my favorite places to eat the foods always hot and fresh chickens juicy I’ve never had a problem with any of the locations I’ve visited and I can from Modesto where I ate there through four times a week. The staff here in Tracy was pleasant and nice the service was quick and the food was fresh it’s nice to have a not processed option for something healthy and light here in town!

Im growing to love this place! NO processed meat :) I love love love their shrimp tacos, they have the perfect flavors. Another reason why I love it is because they individually wrap each taco in aluminum foil. This is a given, it keeps each taco warm as you enjoy the other. Ive tried there chicken and its so fresh. This place is definitely a good choice over other fast food restaurants.

I’ve been patronizing El Pollo Loco restaurants all over California and Nevada for years. I was pretty excited when I heard that a location would be coming to my town. Unfortunately, my experience here was less than welcoming. The cashier was non attentive to her customers to include me and my wife. She was too engaged in a conversation with another employee. As she was taking our order, she continued to converse with the employee, and at one point while taking our order and talking to her friend/coworker, she asks, «flour or corn tortillas?» I barely caught it!!! I asked her to repeat herself and said to her, «young lady, I can’t tell if you are speaking to me or your friend? Would it be possible to focus one the customer(s) right in front of you? She just stared at us, then told us our total. I was HOT! The food is noticeably smaller in portions but still has the savory flavors of grilled chicken that put El Pollo Loco in the radar. Will I venture back? At some point yes I will, but I truly hope that my experience will be better!

I’m in sales and bring lunch in to my clients all the time. El Pollo is my favorite lunch to bring in. For lunches in Tracy I’d have to bring the food from Manteca or Stockton. So I was excited to see the location in Tracy opened. I called today to order lunch and was told they don’t take phone orders. Seriouely? My orders are large enough that you can’t just walk in and order it and walk out ten minutes later with it. Guess Manteca and Stockton will still be getting my Tracy orders.

I looooove chicken and was so excited to see a El Pollo Loco come to Tracy however the execution was not as good as I remember. The food was warm the rice was gross beans were good but the chicken was dry and dinky. Not worth the $ 7 price tag. I am hoping its a one off because their avocado salsa is BOMB as shizzz!

I have edited my review to ONESTAR! After eating dinner and trying to get a good nights sleep I was rudely awakened by my body at 1:45am this morning telling me you should run to the bathroom and meet the porcelain king face first and you know what second. My other child felt similar this morning before school. We both had a meal with salad and other ingredients. My youngest only had the chicken and she was fine this morning. I feel like crap. I am never going back. Previous review 3 stars — Walked in about 715pm, monday evening. Wasnt busy. We have never been here b4. My little girl is picky so i ordered her 3 drumsticks and nothing else. I ordered the chkn tostada bowl no beans and dressing on the side and other child ordered the mex cobb salad w/pinto beans instead of black and ranch dressing all to go. Stocked up on the salsa at the complimentary bar. Got home and i had no dressing on the side. The cobb salad had no avocado and corn, no dressing either. The tostada was cripsy but i had only a teaspoon of sour cream. When i got to the end of the tostada it started to taste sweet. I think it mustve touched the churros lol. Employees were nice. I dont think I’ll be back tho. Ijs

This location was my first ever experience of El Pollo Loco and I am quite impressed, I’ve heard of the place before but always thought it would be much the same as La Salsa. Ok, so I guess it is in the sense that it’s similar menu items and it’s Fast Food but the similarities stop there. The food here is actually pretty darn good! This isn’t the sort of food I eat often and when I do I prefer to make it at home but when you have a fussy Husband that doesn’t eat the same evening meal as you this place is a lifesaver! I have my own meals at home which he considers ”way too healthy” so often stop by here and get his Dinner which saves me cooking 2 separate meals. The menu is varied and I love their complimentary Salsa bar, every time I have been here the staff have been efficient and order complete. Not to mention what I have tried from here(Mango Chicken Tostada and Grilled Chicken) have both been great. I was a little worried the Chicken Tostada looked a little small but is actually very filling. Sometimes orders do take a while but they’re still fairly new and finding their groove. *TIP* Sign up to the email club for offers and free Birthday meal.

First love the el ranchero burrito it’s delicious but sometimes they don’t put the sauce on it! I’ve used the drive thru over 5 times and it doesn’t matter what time of day it is as long as there is a line it takes longer than 15 mins to get your food. Then no matter what if you get to the window and you ordered a drink they never mark the top as to which drink is which and they constantly forget the dressing and chips. If all these things were fixed I’d change my review.

Spent 30 minutes in the drive thru to only be told there’s no chicken for another 30 min.

My first time I came in i went through the drive through. Two people took my order which was interesting to say the least. My order was right and i did recieve everything charged for. What i wasnt happy was the food was not PL standards. The rice and tortillas cold and stale. Chicken probably would have tasted better if i didnt get the burnt ends with the char flavor. Someones not wiping off the grill after every batch ! Thats was drive through experince. As for my walk in experince, the place was well lit and big. Dirty tables and floors but they have must have experinced a rush since they had someone on top of it. What i didnt like is that no one smiles! None of your employees smile. Food was still the same. Burnt ends with a char taste. But ther service inside is what made me give it two stars. It doesnt hurt to smile and be nice!

I am in LOVE with the shrimp tacooos! I have also eaten the chicken avocado quesadilla as well, and that’s pretty bomb too. But the shrimp tacos are on point. They come in a corn tortilla but it seems like it’s home made not like the store bought. And it’s delicious. I seriously go and buy those tacos like once a week. They come as two tacos for. I believe $ 6.69. I just take away one star because the drive thru is always slow. So I just go inside now. Oh and churros are bomb too. Definitely try those. I’ve also tried their horchata. it’s alright. Not as sweet as I like. :/ But try them tacos haha

OK, I’ve been to this location twice and both times the chicken was way over cooked. Dry and splintery. There where a couple of legs that were so over done the meat was crunchy. The only sides I’ve had were the slaw and rice. Slaw was ok but the rice has no flavor. Maybe next time I will eat there and have the opportunity to have the order remade but I think it will be a long time before I go back.

I remember El Pollo Loco from when I lived in the San Jose area decades ago. I loved it then. I had to try out this location to see if it was like what I remember. It’s OK, but nothing special. I ordered the two shrimp tacos for six dollars plus. They were OK, but I was still hungry afterward. I could have easily eaten twice that amount. My wife ordered a burrito, plus some chips and a drink. She said her burrito was nothing special. I ate all her chips before she could try them(only about ¾ of a cup’s worth), and ended drinking all the salsa cups dry to get more calories. After spending close to $ 20.00 dollars for two people I didn’t feel I got a good value for the money spent. I left the restaurant still hungry.

We tried this place for lunch on 1÷3÷16 I thought the menu was a little hard to understand at first but with some help from the cashier we ordered. After editing a while I noticed that 2 Families that ordered after us both had their food while we waited. Made my way to the counter and noticed that they were just finishing our order. wonder why that happened. The chicken was tasty but extremely small It looked to me like they gave me s half of breast and a tiny wing. The sides were not good IMO. Macaroni was tasteless and the beans were worse. The chips were fresh and salsa was good as well. Doubt I will go back but if I do it would be for the chicken.

El Pollo Loco has opened and EVERYONE in Tracy is out to try it! The chicken here, just like other locations, is moist and marinated well. Not a fan of the rice, though. I tried the chicken mango tostada, and it was delicious. The mango salsa went well with the smoky black beans, and there were lots of avocado. The cilantro sauce was good too, and I didn’t need a lot of it. The wheat tortilla was toasted well, and surprisingly flavorful. I started using it to scoop out the salad near the end. This place is going to be busy for awhile, but if you’re nearby and want really good chicken, this is the place to go.

***I am the King of the Crazy Chicken!!*** Came here unknowingly on opening night, very busy but managed to get in and out quickly. I am a HUGE El Pollo Loco fan having grown up with it in Southern California. Been without out my Loco fix for nearly 15yrs!!! I started a Facebook Page nearly 6yrs ago soliciting to get a El Pollo Loco here in Tracy, so I mean I’m not saying it’s because of me, but coincidence? So stoked to have it here in Tracy now. Will definitely keep coming back as long as they keep that crazy chicken hot! Tips for amateurs… Get a 2 or 3 piece meal, pinto beans, rice, salsa and lemons. Add some lemon and salsa to both your rice and beans and make tacos with all of it! Damn!

The food was very good and tastes very fresh. Had the chicken tostada with a very crispy big shell, fresh chicken, beans, rice, fresh avocado. Unfortunately they forgot my avocado cilantro dressing! Sad when I was finished. Their chicken tamales were surprisingly good. Too bad they couldn’t find a better location because the drive through gets ridiculously long and it’s hard to get a parking space. It was so crowded inside around 6 pm last night that the manager(who was so nice) told everyone individually that there’s a 15 minute wait in line. We ended up leaving and coming back today. I will definitely be coming back as long as the food stays fresh.
