Carmine’s Pizzeria

I came here with two friends looking for a late night snack.
Situated on 4^th Street in Downtown Troy, across from two other pizzeria’s (I Love NY Pizza and Gino’s), this pizzeria opened up not too long ago to try and compete for business from local residents, RPI, and Russell Sage.
Walking into the empty pizzeria, the standard pre-​made pizza is showcased on the counter. In comparison, Carmine’s does not have as many selections as say, Big Apple Pizzeria up the hill, or I Love NY across the street. Carmine’s is however, comparatively cheaper.
I ordered two specialty slices (Chicken, Bacon and Ranch) with a can of soda for $ 5. The slices were large, and were delicious. They were hot, and thin-​crust, the only way I eat pizza. While the pizza was not as thin as some places down in NYC, the slices (taste, texture, and size) and the price of the meal is more than enough to compete with the local pizzerias.
My friends each ordered two plain slices, which also came with a can of soda, for $ 3.50.
The pizzeria was clean and open, great for groups of college students.
