The BEST sandwiches! Earthly delights has a cute grocery section, as well as a rotating deli selection(cold salads, cold noodles, etc.) Sandwiches are pretty quick despite being warned on the menu that all items are made to order, taking anywhere from 10 – 15 minutes. Even so, these sandwiches are definitely worth the wait! Shout out to the pastrami, and ham & brie panini. I’ve seen a lot of feedback about it being expensive, but given the remote location and being located in a resort town, it’s about what I expected.

I came here for breakfast and had the seasoned egg with sun dried tomato. It wasn’t something to fancy, price is just right for what you get.

Good panini stop in the village. Nice sandwiches and burgers. Another solid mid day lunch option in the village. Connected to a little market.

The grocery part has a decent selection. It’s overpriced, but hey, its a pretty premium location. I love their take out food, it pretty good, and saved us more than once on a stormy day.

Sea salt and rosemary focaccia bread. That is all you need to know. Its fresh and smells like it was sent from the heavens. My mom loves it so much that she calls it «crack bread» because it’s so addicting(in a good way)!! Their chocolate chip cookies are also amazing because they’re fresh and soft. When my family and I come we always buy about 5 of these cookies at a time, and they’re pretty big! Unfortunately, there gluten free selection is not great. The recent addition of gluten free chocolate chip cookies were not tasty at all– they were hard and just not good. The gluten free blueberry muffin was also pretty distasteful, but hey at least they tried to accommodate for gluten free customers and I’m grateful! So overall I wouldn’t recommend as a gluten free deli/bakery, but for those that can indulge in gluten, it is definitely worth a trip in for the bread and cookies! I definitely miss the days when I was able to enjoy the rosemary sea salt focaccia and cookies free of gluten intolerance– but my family(and everyone we introduce the bread to) continues to experience love in every bite.

The food is pretty delicious, unfortunately it can’t outweigh the horrible customer service. It is very slow, waiting 20 minutes for a cold sandwich. I have been forgotten about here, while I stand and watch ppl chat. My order has also been messed up on several occasions. And through all my suffering, I have also endured rudeness. Yes the food is good, but at a cost.

The rosemary oil bread is really yummy. But groceries are way overpriced!!! Don’t bother with any groceries. Safeway is less than 10min away. Not worth it if you have can drive. Plus they didn’t even have their items price which cheats you even more.

Great sandwiches! I had the turkey avocado BLT on soft toasted ciabatta bread. My companion had the make your own sandwich with Black Forest ham, cheese, lettuce and great juicy pickles on soft sourdough bread. There is also a salad bar and mini market with some groceries and wine! Very fresh and good!

Best lunch you’re gonna find at North*. Plan ahead and bring a sandwich up the mountain with you for a delicious lunchtime treat that tastes like something from your favorite spot back home.

Exactly what you should expect in a resort’s grocery store and deli… Relatively small but clean space Limited selection that skews higher-end Decent deli counter with sandwiches and take-out options Friendly ski dude/gal staff Perfectly good place to stock your milk and wine for the weekend, get a quick sandwich, or to pickup that toothpaste you forgot.

This mini market and deli offers a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Which can definitely come in handy when you’re staying at or near Northstar. Over the years, I’ve purchased much needed supplies such as wine, beer, sandwiches, salads, chips, soap, milk, mouthwash, more wine and even some Cowgirl Creamery cheese. This year, we came up to the mountain midweek during dry conditions and found nothing else open for breakfast. So their egg sandwiches really bailed us out, for which we’ll always be appreciative.

This café/restaurant has a gourmet flair with interesting sandwich options and other food to munch on like lasagna and pastries. I walked out with a apple, brie, and blackforest ham panini and a Odwalla blueberry protein smoothie. Sandwiches are overpriced by a dollar or two. Located in Northstar village.

Best breakfast sandwich I’ve had, period. Egg, ham, tomato, avo, spinach, red onion on panini croissant.

Came to Tahoe for a bike race and was looking for a place for breakfast. We are staying in the village and this place was right under our room. Décor is nice, has that French bistro look and feel. The staff was nice enough. We ordered a couple of croissant breakfast sandwiches which were pretty good. Then came the coffee. Disgusting old stale and burned French roast that was so bitter it started to dissolve the wax coating off the cup it was served in. There was no way to rehabilitate this angry coffee no matter how much milk or sugar you poured into it trying to coax the remnant of the bean it once used to be from the fire ash it had become. I would have gladly given the 4th star to this place however, I was that offended by it’s coffee that I had to take the star away. You know when you have a mountain view and you grab that first cup of coffee in the morning expecting that coffee commercial feeling in the crisp mountainside air? Imagine that instead of coffee though that you’re drinking that black stuff that comes out of a zombies head when you brain them. It was sad and depressing.

Our group of 8 enjoyed our first lunch in the Village. We had hummus and veggie sandwich(very good), ham and cheese croissant(ok), Swiss and carmelized onion panini(great), turkey meatball sandwich(very good), make your own turkey(good). We also tried a chocolate chip cookie(good, but very hard) and oatmeal raspberry bar(good) and sea salt and rosemary bread(good).

Great place with many delicious healthy food options! If you’re looking for gluten free food this is the place! We had very tasty quinoa salad, chicken curry, pizza and fresh fruit.

Nice deli shop in the Northstar Village. They are also part convenience store, but everything is wayyy overpriced. I ordered a turkey and avocado sandwich on wheat bread with whole grain mustard. It was quite tasty and very filling. I think the make-your-own sandwich is about $ 9.75 and I added avocado for $ 1. My friends ordered a couple of their signature sandwiches and seemed satisfied. It’s a good healthy option when the only other restaurant open is a pizza place. While waiting for my sandwich, I noticed they have a tiny salad bar, with the basics: lettuce, spinach, carrots, cucumber, etc. They also stock baked goods and healthy options from Kashi. Their deli case contains premade salads and things like lasagna and giant egg rolls. They have seating indoors along a window counter and plenty of outdoor seating. When we were ordering, apparently they had just updated the computer system, and they were having issues with the register.

Great quality but completely over priced. I understand Its in the village so it’s going to be a bit expensive but $ 6 for a box of wheat thins is ridiculous. They offer a small section of toiletries and we accidentally forgot sunscreen. $ 10 for a sunscreen stick-absurd. They prepared food offerings taste great-just a little too expensive.

I work in one of the resorts nearby and so I visit this deli/café almost daily. I’m a huge fan of their fresh salads that they have offered in the case by the counter. They’re great about keeping around my favorites but they’re always adding new salads and flavors to the menu. The staff is friendly and the girls at the counter always remember my name. This is a great place to go to stock up for a day at the beach, especially if you’re health-conscious like myself. I think the thing I appreciate the most about this deli/café is that everything just tastes so… fresh. Price-wise, it’s not so friendly. But, you know, it’s Northstar. The 2% resort fee kills ya, plus the general«we’re podunk and need to make money» effect kills ya also. I’m happy to support them though, if it means keeping around those delicious salads. Three stars because there’s still room for improvement. Sandwich sizes and drink prices need to be re-evaulated. =]
