Subway

Whoever in Unilocal allowed Subway as a $$$$ restaurant in the Reno Restaurant section needs to be given a broom. Actually, give me their name and I will drive from Reno to SF to have a conversation with him/​her. This thing is not even in Reno and it has a ton on one and two star reviews.

So I live in Truckee, CA where this Subway Store is located. I receive a coupon offer in my mail from Subway. So I take the coupon and go to the Truckee Subway, but they refuse to honor the coupon. .. because in small, small, small print it says the coupon is only good in Sacramento (100 miles away). Give me a break. This is ridiculous. In the end it was probably best because the store did not look that clean.

I was desperate but never again, I’d rather skip a meal.

They’re out of Italian bread, banana peppers, and even lettuce. How can you sell sandwiches without lettuce? There’s a friggin supermarket in the same shopping center, and they sell lettuce. This Subway misses the point of fast food chains: consistency in product.

Slow, questionable hygiene, and a dirty bathroom. Everything you don’t want in a fast food joint.

The worst place ever, the service is horrid and I would never go to this place again, so rude!

I always stop here before I go mt biking at northstar so I don’t have pay up the ass for food at northstar. I’m glad this place is around or I’d be spending more money than I want to.

I ordered kids meals, but the employee couldn’t be bothered to inform me that they were out of apples until the sandwiches were already prepared (sort of vital information). Then she told me that while this store has the August $ 6 value footlong sub, they were still doing the July $ 3 six inch. That’s ludicrous, and had I known, it would have changed the rest of my order. She then went on to tell me that since I had two of the six inches prepared together as a footlong, I couldn’t have gotten the $ 3 deal for two of them anyway. Are you kidding me? What terrible customer service! I left, and would not recommend ever going here (although there are other Subways out there that are good, this isn’t one if them…)

Not to brag or anything, but I’m a sandwich artist OG. My first job in high school was working as a shift manager at Togo’s. In college, my good friend was the manager of a Subway and I’d often work a shift for her when one of her employees failed to show up.
Let’s keep it real. Since Subway is a fast food franchise, the only real points to review are customer service and cleanliness. From what I witnessed and experienced today, both of those things were on point at this location. While my very helpful sandwich artist handcrafted my order, I took an expert look behind the counter to make sure everything looked up to code. No worries, folks, you will leave here neither feeling slighted nor given food poisoning.

We visited this Subway location today while hiking at Donner Lake. The lady who served us was very friendly and the food was very fresh. We asked for some extra items (olives and pickles) on our sandwiches and she was happy to put them on free of charge. The Subways in our area need to take a lesson from this location. $ 5 for a foot long turkey sandwich is a great deal. The only reason why I can’t give them 5 stars is because of their seating area. Not good. It is the same at all Subway locations though. I think they want you to leave. We will be back next time we are in the area.

1 star is too much for this location. I used to go to this Subway all the time… I say used to because I won’t be going anymore. So there is a special with a 6 inch BLT and a drink for $ 4. I order the 6inch BLT and then ask about the soda and the woman behind the counter without any kind of logical sense says «you didn’t tell me about that when you ordered so I have to charge you $ 1.79». I said «that special is the only place you even offer the BLT — I don’t see it anywhere else on your menu.» She said we offer it but because I didn’t point at the sign when I ordered, I wasn’t eligible for the deal. I couldn’t believe she said that there would be a difference in how you order the same 6 inch BLT. I argued with her about her logic and she wasn’t seeing how irrational she was. I actually don’t care about the soda but that kind of customer service does not get my business. Good thing anyway because I have heard and read that Subway has the worst quality meat out there — just was going there out of convenience. Now I have more reason to get a healthier sandwich across the way at Savemart or Safeway.

great place to get a sammy before heading up to the mtn. avoid paying $ 15 for a sandwich at the lodge with a $ 5 footlong!

This subway sucks… The chicks who work there are really dumb. I once asked to have the spicy italian sandwich and the girl looked at me all confused and she asked me what goes on it LOL its like you work here YOUR supposed to know what goes on the f*cking sandwich dumbass!

They had $ 5 footlongs for a few months now they’re back up to $ 7.50??? They should really take care of the locals as all my business goes to Reno where they actually have $ 5 footlongs!!! I eat at the Reno (Robb Dr) Subway at least 3 times a weekI I hope the Truckee location goes out of business for raping the locals!!! We’re punished for living in a tourist town???

driving back and forth to Tahoe has made us absolute connoisseurs of Subway. and damn proud of it. it has all you need for a quick, while-​you-​drive, non-​fried meal — good number of choices, and cheep prices.
where a lot of these locations fail, is in the ‘quick’ category. if we’re not the first ones in the store, our wait is typically on the order of 15 – 20 minutes, by which time the pugs are howling their fool heads off in the car, and we have lost precious time on the freeway for which I will then have to drive like a lunatic in order to recover.
not so at this little store, tucked into a shopping plaza. they’re actually quick. and smile-​y.

this place suck they dont even let the customer use the bathroom! wtf! they will literally tell you to go to the restaurant next door and ask them. wtf! i worked next door at the chinese restaurant they just recently closed down

(5 stars because they didn’t charge me for extra lettuce like the one in Colfax GRR who does that!!!).
