Absolutely a winner. Clean, friendly, fast. Easy and fast to get to and usually pretty good parking but the lot does get busy. Definitely makes it not worth driving to other sandwich places not as close in. Like their turkey and Swiss sandwiches but also have some good breakfast choices.

This place is pretty cool!
I was in an unfamiliar town and hungry for lunch and luckily this place was right down the street. I have never been to this town, or this restaurant before and I was hoping this place would be good.
Well it is good, and i was surprised to find a place that freshly slices cheese and meat to order,. yes thats right each order gets sliced when you order it, this puts subway to shame.
I had a chicken, sandwich with 2 cheeses on wheat. I topped it with the usual veggies and jalapenos for a little kick and it tasted pretty good.
the service was what you would expect from any sandwich chain, the chefs were friendly and can assemble a good sandwich.
overall this is a good place to stop for a bite

Good look, great feel, excellent food and good service. Stopping in at Port of Subs, or traveling to it for that matter, would be a decision that you won’t regret. Deep in the heart of Truckee, this place is truly unique, great tasting subs. The only reason I rate it 4 star is because, 1) interior looks a little run down, and 2) customer service wasn’t so great. But the food was amazing, this place beats Subway and Mr. Pickles.
They need to work on cleanliness too, for being a restaurant it is honestly not the greatest.

The wife was down for the count one morning so she wasn’t able to make my breakfast which lead to me stopping in here. I shouldn’t have. I really shouldn’t have. I love their breakfast sandwiches here. It’s their particular combination of bread and egg and mayo that I just can’t resist. And like a dummy, I ordered a medium. I didn’t need a medium, to be honest I didn’t need it at all. But I ordered it anyway. This time I got ham and sausage with the egg and swiss cheese. I always add tomato onion mayo and mustard.
The restaurant seemed clean and well maintained. I got my sandwich and was in and out within just a few minutes.
Parking here can be frustrating sometimes because the mall is really busy. But I will take a busy mall over a dead one any day of the week.

This is NOT a Deaf friendly!!! When I met female workers. They were like being in shock like meeting an alien. They kept speaking to me as I reminded them I am deaf. A part of me wanted to yell «I am f**king Deaf! But it’s not worth it to do this so. Just ordered a sub then left! Just moved on.
anyway food tastes good as I am satisfied…

I liked this place so much, I went back the next day. The fact that they cut their meat right then and there, fresh, was awesome! I loved the bread too. DELICIOUS!
