With a name like that it should be country. No country music, no Wranglers, no customer!

Super sweet vibes. I don’t usually write reviews but I left the place with a smile on my face and good drinks in my belly.

Several of my friends and I often hang out downtown Turlock, as we all grew up here. Udder place has seemed to be the ‘new it’ place. We’ve been going more frequently, sometimes a couple nights a week! On a Saturday night, at midnight my group experienced one of the security guards trying to kick us out for my fiancé and his brother using the bathroom at the same time. We had been bar hopping downtown Turlock so the boy had drinks in them. There was a small sign on the door that read, «one person at a time –management.» Who reads a sign after having 5+ drinks in them?! Only on the men’s too. I understand that a policy is a policy and the manager was awesome handling the situation but the security guard acted like we had just committed a huge crime and told one member of the group to, «chug there beer and get out.» We ended up going to Staleys and ran into two other country, folks that had a couple of beers and didn’t stop to read one of the 2⁄3 signs on the bathroom door and got kicked out for the same thing. Overall, we’ve always received great service! The security guard was just arrogant and rude! Worst experience! I understand a policy is a policy but don’t drive all of your customers away, people talk!

This place is a joke!!! One bar keep behind the bar with 100 people waiting for drinks. Order a beer, get served the wrong beer and it’s flat. Such a disappointment for downtown Turlock. I feel bad for you if you are going to visit this place.

Ok, so I guess I will have to give my opinion here since I guess via facebook isn’t happening. Here’s my gripe. If you are going to set up drinks and charge for them, get people falling down drunk… well, how about calling a cab or über for them instead of flagging down a cop and having them hauled to jail. Somebody threatening or fighting, perhaps, but young kids? Come on guys, give me a break. This is Turlock. Set some coins aside for this purpose. I’ll pay you double or triple if you get my loved ones home safe. YOUAREMORALLYRESPONSIBLE whether you like it or not. Having someone hauled to jail for being drunk and you had a hand in it… is danged irresponsible. Really, good responsible bars… they do this for their patrons. It is in their best interest.

I went on a Friday night for the first time, walked in and stood at the bar and not one bartender asked what we would like. Stood there almost 10 min, walked out and went to another bar. I also thought this bar was a country bar, far from it. Most likely won’t be returning unless things change.

Is this a country bar? The inside resembles country, but the atmosphere/staff appearance doesn’t not. Staff is friendly yet, doesn’t portray the roll of a «country» bar. The live band was great, but the music after again not country. Wish there was a place to two-step and or line dance to actual country music. Should change name to basic bitch bar because it resemble everything besides country. It does not stand out besides the name which is false advertisement. 1. Play country music only 2. Get a dance floor 3. Make staff ware appropriate attire to match bar theme of bar

Not much of a bar person(turning 40 will do that to you) but I liked this place. The bartender made a mean gin martini, was very friendly and courteous and … Dare I say it … A stunning woman. They were playing my favorite music genre … 90 s indie rock and the whole place had a relaxed vibe. If I still«did» bars, I could see myself hanging out here.

Not what I expected. The local media interview with the owner left me with the impression that this would be the type of bar like you here about in Toby Keith’s song I Love This Bar but tamed down to more family oriented designed for the type of local farming community in this area. Décor is more industrial than western. There was no country music playing, just pop on the juke box. No live band. No real entertainment. The guy that took our drink order was very friendly but he had no clue what I was talking about when I asked him what type of high gravity beer selection they had. I further explained anything with 7% or more ABV. He was nervous and cracked his knuckles. I ordered an 805 just to let him breathe and let him go research his selections. When he came back with the drinks he offered nothing except to keep the tab open or close it out. I chose to close it out. So far the better drinking spot in Turlock is The Dust Bowl. We will try a couple other places tonight before heading there. If you like a quiet drinking spot with no crowd and feaux western attempt this is your spot

It was a good night till we came to this place. We first paid the bouncer to get in when there’s no cover charge and when we got in, a group of racist people told us we belong at a different place. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The bouncer kicked us out.

This is exactly what Turlock needed: an unpretentious, non-kitschy country bar. Think: less Ariats and more Steve Madden, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t potential to change the scene when the word gets out. The staff is friendly, the drinks are strong and the layout allows for intimacy as well as space to strut your stuff. It’s an ideal balance of country warmth and modern convenience. There are darts in the back room and a substantial juke box. And of course the big screen tv means you’ll be entertained no matter what. The crowd is a welcome potpourri of young, old, country and city. Two cocktails for $ 13, not too shabby. The only drawback was the lack of signage: the only identifying mark is a cattle brand hanging at the storefront, but that didn’t stop us from finding it. :-) We WILLBEBACK!!!
