this is my favorite dollar store it is always stocked and clear. There is one pretty grouchy cashier but I just stear clear of her, Great selection and for a buck you cant go wrong

I would say 3.5 stars. I really like this location because this store is big. It is one of the biggest 99 cent only stores I’ve been to, and it is well stocked. Here is the place to get cheap gift bags. They have a whole wall of them and I couldn’t resist perusing them for super cute ones from Hallmark(they have glitter and originally were 4.99). The cashier was also very helpful and tried to get someone to add more helium to my balloons I bought. The thing is. even though I waited awhile for that to happen, those balloons still deflated rather quickly in 1 – 2 days. They also charge an extra 49 cents for helium on top of the dollar for the balloon.

The customer service isn’t great. They could train their cashiers to be a little more friendly or at least be more invested in their service.

Most 99 cent stores are the same, but be careful with this one. Some of the produce is spoiled, and food is past the expiration date. Be careful when buying food here.

This place has a great grocery section. I had a great experience here, granted I came at 9am. Lots of stuff to make a quick meal or decorate for the seasons. They have some good beauty stuff too(name brand)

This is the best and biggest 99cent only store I have been in! My wife and I keep coming here again and again. The variety is out-standing and the staff seems to be better than all other 99cent stores. Some would think we want to stay here, but it’s not that bad… lol. Although this store is quite a few miles from our home on Katella and Brookhurst, when we are in the area, we go shopping here. I am actively recommending this 99cent store to all my friends!

It’s been twenty years since I was in a 99 cent store — the one I went to had pests in there candy so I have resisted going to check out this new store. I did receive coupons and my Beard was supportive of the store so I went during my lunch. The first aisle I moseyed up was wide but all others wouldn’t accommodate two biggins’ crossing paths. What caught my eye was the selection! I actually recognize the Granny Goose brand! My only frustration is that it’s $ 0.99+, not a true $ 0.99ONLY type of deal. Still, it was bigger than my favorite($tree).

I have been to this store several times. The store is fairly well stocked, except the produce and food sections need to be better maintained. The employee’s just seem to be wandering around talking to each other. The check-out is always understaffed and crowded. When you do get to the checkout, the cashiers do not even say hello to the customer or thank the customer at the end of the transaction. Some«customer service» training is needed at this store.

I stop here every now and then for candy, mailing supplies and batteries. They need to stock it more often please! I wish they carried blank cassette tapes and blank vhs tapes, I miss buying them like back in the days… Other than that you guys are good!

I was actually surprised at some of the items they had in here. Keep in mind that they are now selling things that cost more than 99 cents(i.e. motor oil) but they’ll make sure you know that well before getting to the checkout. But seriously, after this trip I’m going to have to second guess my stance that 99 Cents stores are just for crap & knock off items. Good on ya, 99 Cents!

I can’t believe there’s a 99 cent only store so close to my house now! It was I want super cheap crap I can now go here instead of Walmart. So exciting! Even though it just barely opened, the store is very clean, neat and organized. I do have a problem with not enough register being open because it does get crowded. I’m so glad I have this option near my house though.

Yikes! I’ve been to several different 99 cent store locations around OC and they’re usually fine for what they are, but this one was a big disappointment for me. For some reason this location appears to stock less of the name brands you find elsewhere and more of the«off» brands. The aisles seem very narrow and the layout was confusing and non-intuitive. But the worst part were some of the«customers»(and I use that term loosely): Random packs of slackers and losers milling around with no cart or basket and nothing in hand — apparently there just to waste time and block the already narrow aisles. Seriously, some of these people look like they couldn’t afford to buy even ONETHING here. I especially feel sorry for the neighboring businesses in this shopping center, which used to be pretty nice, and wonder what effect this new shady element will have on them… It can’t be good. As for the parking lot — better make sure your uninsured motorist insurance coverage is paid up before venturing anywhere near here… and bring your passport. This review was originally placed for another 99 cent place down the street which I have removed. But it begs the question — why is the city of Tustin allowing so many of these low-end establishments to pop up all over town?

This was my first time at a 99 cent store besides the Dollar Trees back home and this was a lot nicer than those. There were a lot of Christmas decorations that I wouldn’t mind going back for but I’m not sure if I would buy groceries from a 99 cent store. It was pretty well organized and very clean.

If you want to save money, give this down in the heels discount store a chance. Most everything is a 99.9 cents, rounded off to a dollar. There are some exceptions, like a quart of milk at $ 3.29, a dozen eggs at $ 1.69, and produce by the pound. There is no ambiance, the store is sometimes super crowded with crying kids, and the lines might sometimes remind you of a crowded free clinic. For me, all in all… Spending cheaply feels good. True that a lot of their stuff isn’t top quality stuff, but a lot of it works as well the name brand. Take some of their supplements and medicines. Their 1% hydrocortisone cream, 40 count ibuprofen(generic of Advil), and for stomach aches, calcium carbonate(generic of Tums) and so many others are a great deal. Their name brand equivalents are 3 – 4 times more in cost. You just have to try what works for you and what doesn’t. In their cleaning aisle, I like their spray top Awesome stuff Degreaser. I spray it on my greasy oven counter top and works quickly. They have a watered down spray top Oxygen Cleaner. I had to spray soak the coffee stain on my tan cloth car seats. I dumped a lot of it, let it soak for a minute and wiped most of it off. I had to reapply and clean again… but it worked. Other cleaning aisle goodies are non chlorine bleach in a box, cleansers, and Line Away. Some of my other favorites are:. Napkins are single ply, but for a dollar, totally worth it. So are the many loaves of bread, the four packs of Shasta soda, cans of coconut milk, and chips. They have tools, kitchen things, and headsets made in China. Some are poorly made but some of them actually work OK. But for me, some of the best deals are in the produce. On this trip, I found some perfect raspberries. I found the same at Sprouts and Albertsons for $ 3 each. A bag of key limes were $ 4 at Sprouts and the quality was almost as good. They have a steady supply of your usual favorites, like onions, peppers, garlic, lemons, bag salads, etc But the buy production over runs of fruits and vegetables that can be a steal thought they might get blemished melons, and other produce. I have a cart full of stuff and it’s always under $ 30…and would’ve been $ 50-$ 100 with name brand products. What I can’t find here or if I don’t like what I see in a product I need, then I head to Albertsons or Vons a couple of blocks away. But with the money I saved, it’s enough for a meal or two out so I can Unilocal some more. This is a great, safe location. But I have to knock off a half star because the parking situation is awful during dinner hours and weekends. I’ve seen people circle the parking lot over and over again before finding a spot. It was crowded before they were here, and now it’s worse. Bring some patience, or come during the day.

So it JUST opened. Location is great. Pretty big since it used to be an Office Depot, but I think they are only using 2⁄3 of the space Office Depot had. Huge selections. Aisles are long and some are a bit narrow but not too bad. It seems a little crowded near register areas with other products. Good produce selections and prices. Freezer and fridge items are pretty decent and better then other 99 cents stores I’ve been too. They do need signs in the aisles to identify what’s in the aisle since they are so long. Overall I am excited they opened one in Tustin, because I do not like going to the Santa Ana one. And this one is down the street! Hope it stays clean and organized.
