Music was great(Isaac smith). Our waiter(male brown hair in a pony tail) brought us lunch specials that we unknowingly tried to order. Then when we did order,(@7:30p.m) he told us we couldn’t order that and he would bring us dinner specials. He came back 20 min later to take our order which we just ordered of reg. Menu at that point. 3 stars because of laid back atmosphere, location and music. Food was okay. Recommend fish bites as appetizer. Took a while to get bar drinks.

I have been to Tybee many times and brought my sister with us this year. We rode our bikes down to North Beach Bar and it was awesome! We sat at the outdoor bar and had Ashley bartending for us. She made great recommendations, our margaritas and food were amazing. Ashley was fun and welcoming! Can’t wait to go back. Thanks!!!

The food was decent but nothing special. Family ordered fish sandwiches and burgers. Service was average. Cocktails were pretty good but overpriced for what you got. Generally unimpressed with the place. Hot day so maybe the staff was affected by this? Went there due to the positive reviews and maybe on a cooler day would’ve had a better experience. I’d go back but would have tempered expectations.

Tasty salads. We ate here several weeks ago the eve before a event so wanted something light. Fresh fruit and fish salads were flavorful. A bit pricey but it’s island location I’m sure their taxes are high. Parking on island is ridiculous as you have to pay everywhere. Cost an extra $ 4 to park less than hour because we didn’t have $ 2 cash. Should have voucher discount for business use but whatever.

This place is excellent. Specials constantly change. We were outside and reggae music was great. We got chilled cucumber/blackberry soup and crabcake sandwich. Everything was very good. Blackbean salsa was also very good. We had 13 and they accomodated us with no problem. I am very pleased and will be back.

Sat at the bar and ordered shrimp and lobster and it literally took an hour for the food to come out and it was horrible. Horrible service.

We spent a few hours at the beach and then decided to eat dinner here before leaving the island. Most of the seating is outside on the patio or deck, but there is an umbrella at each table for shade. We sat down at 5pm and were handed the lunch menu. I asked about the dinner menu and was told they wouldn’t be serving dinner until 6pm. So I ordered the crab cake sandwich w pasta salad. It was very good! The table also ordered the sweet potato fries. Now I am not a fan of sweet potatoes, but these were delicious!!! They sprinkle cinnamon on them and then drizzle a honey/balsamic reduction mixture on top. Sooo good!

This place was awesome! Good prices, good food, live music, and a stone’s throw from the ocean. I will definitely be back soon!!!

I don’t know how anyone could rate this less than 3 stars. The food here is amazing. When we arrived it was clearly posted to seat yourself. We were approached promptly and got our food quickly. However, we were on the early bird side for dinner so that probably helped. I couldn’t get over the quality of the food though. Having worked in a similar restaurant, I could see how much effort was put into the food. Their fries are hand cut and fried perfectly, the salmon was cooked perfect and the dessert(cake) tasted as if it had just been pulled from the oven. Everything was reasonably priced too! We only wish we lived closer so we could go here more often!

The lobster hoagie was awesome, and the sweet potato fries with the balsamic drizzle was great. Our server was very attentive, especially with a group of 12. The only reason I am not giving this a perfect score is because of the construction going on next to the restaurant. It was very loud.

Fun location on the north side of the island. After reading some mixed reviews on Unilocal decided to give it a try. Our experience was much the same as the others with mixed reviews. There is no signage or person stationed to tell you where to sit(major improvement opportunity) so we went inside and asked for an outside table. We were pointed to an empty table. 10 or more minutes and another table that was sat after us, had to ask to take drink order. Then waited another 15 minutes(and another table sat after us) to get food order taken. Had to ask for that too. Then a missed margarita order. But — and this gets to three stars — the food was very good. Jerk pork with red beans and rice with grilled mixed veggies had great flavor, generous portion, and well presented. The house cut fries and burger were equally good. Would eat here again if not for the frustration with service. Warning for outside dining. The bugs dine nicely on the human diners. Bug spray needed.

I was very pleased with my lunch at the North Beach Bar & Grill. I honestly had a hard time trying to locate this place it was kind of hidden, but the good news is that it’s right by the beach. Once you do find the place and walk inside you have the option of seating yourself outside or inside. What I really enjoyed about this place is that it has a very chill, relaxed atmosphere. The service is solid, and Jorge took care of us, answered any questions we had about the menu and what to order. I was stuck between 3 menu items, well actually 2 because they had run out of the other just when we arrived. I decided to go with one of the specials which was the buttermilk chicken hoagie special. I was not disappointed at all with my selection it was definitely worth it and worthy of being on the specials menu! The hoagie was super fresh, the chicken hot, and the bacon just crisp the way I like it. For drinks they do have a large beer selection as well to perfectly compliment your meal. And the desert they do have a chocolate key lime pie which is ridiculously good. Overall great spot for lunch, great prices, and right by Tybee beach & the lighthouse too.

Came here for a late lunch and was not disappointed. I was starving so everything sounded good but I opted for the white truffle lobster roll. They were out of the crab cake sandwich which was all the recommendations on Unilocal.I was happy with my choice though. There were huge chunks of lobster meat tossed in a mayo base with some onions and celery. It was on a roll topped with lettuce, tomato, and two slices of crispy bacon. I chose the sweet potato fries as a side, I loved the balsamic glaze and honey that was drizzled on it. The server also convinced us to try the dessert; their famous white chocolate key lime pie, which was pretty good.

Disappointed. If it wasn’t for the good reviews my fiancé and I would not have been here. In fact, we would have left after walking into the place. There is no indication that this is a seat yourself service therefore we and the couple in front of us stood by the entrance for awhile before being told to seat ourselves. Even after seating, we waited almost ten minutes for ordering service. When the waitress came over she did not smile nor gave us the impression that she wanted to service us. Our Popcorn Crawfish Appetizer arrived and it was indeed delicious. While waiting for our main meals, a lady from the table across from us requested to speak to the manager. The lady had a group of four, they all had their meals except for her. Apparently, she waited over an hour and we could hear that the kitchen had forgotten the lady’s meal. She resulted in leaving the place with her boxed dinner never eating the meal there. Anyway, our food arrived and we were impressed by the presentation. But biting in, the Swordfish dinner and Crab Cakes dinner wasn’t over the top excellent. In fact, one of the crab cakes was overly salted… In all, the dinner, not bad and not great. We won’t return. Ratings from 1 – 5(one being lowest and five being highest): –Service: 3 –Food: 3 –Overall: 3

This was a great experience. Our server Travis was very busy but took care of us & everyone. He advised me to choose the lobster hoogie. It was awesome. I got the sweet potato fries with it. Yum! I’m coming back at least once before leaving the island. Come here. You will not be disappointed!!!

Its always one of our favorite places to hit while at Tybee and this time was no different. It was a beautiful day(the day after thanksgiving) and it was packed. Inside and out. Its a shame that they didn’t have the tiki bar open because I think they could have done even more business that day. They pour and excellent drink so we had one while waiting for a table. We were able to get a table in the bar next to the windows. Did I mention how beautiful it was that day. Anyways, I ordered the crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries and the balsamic drizzle. Wow! Amazing! That drizzle is definitely yummy. My husband had the seafood fritters with a romelaud sauce. They was very large and very tasty indeed. Very good and so nice being right on the beach, I know for certain that this will not be our last time but one of many visits to the North Beach Bar and Grill

Beware! Lunch doesn’t have the same options as Dinner. The lunch options are pretty lame compared to the good looking dinner items. We had two fish sandwiches and there was a bit too much bread to fish ratio. And the buns aren’t toasted(personal preference). I wish I could get any of these fish sandwich options as entrée fish dishes during the lunch hour. Great staff and service. I was enticed by the location near the beach which was fantastic. But the popular food pictures are mostly of the dinner choices.

This is the place that has my heart. A lot of times, places by the beach are touristy and really expensive. This spot has it right. Every time I go, there’s something new on the menu, and it doesn’t hurt that there is a beautiful view of North Beach right in front of you. It’s a small place, and by all means not pretentious at all. All of the dishes are large and flavorful. This particular visit, I shared the seafood nachos with my aunt and mother, and we still had some to take home. Crawfish, shrimp, chorizo, queso, tomatoes and freshly baked chips: give me more please. We also added some collard green and bacon dip for the hell of it. It was amazing as well. I was a skeptic at first cause I don’t play with cute collards, but it was an unexpected yummy flavor. If you’re still hungry after these two appetizers, ask for the peel and eat shrimp. It’s not on the menu anymore, but it’s the best shrimp in town. If you want somewhere colorful, tasty, and easy, come here always.
