Impeccable service. Stellar cocktails. Everything was on point. I made reservations in advance because we were celebrating our stepdaughter’s recent wedding. They worked with us to help choose champagne for the table ahead of time. Every course was better than the next. We can’t say enough to good things about Fish Camp! If you are looking for a place to enjoy a special night out-this is it!

Fantastic experience. The menu changes daily and everything our party had was delicious. The cocktails were delicious and the bartender was very friendly and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our drinks. Everything from the apps to the desert was wonderful. Our waiter gave great recommendations and was very friendly. Overall would highly recommend. We did have reservations which is recommended. The restaurant is small in size. This restaurant is «higher-end» than some of the others on Tybee, but it is definitely worth the money you will spend.

My wife and I had an amazing dinner here last night. She had the crab cake appetizer and the lobster risotto. I had the gazpacho and the tuna. The food was great. Our server recommended a nice Italian red that paired very well with both meals. We ate both desserts on the menu. Both were delicious. We were a little skeptical when we drove by because the restaurant doesn’t look like much on the outside. Never judge a book by its cover. The inside was comfortable, casual, and stylish. The staff was warm and welcoming. It reminded us of our favorite places in Decatur GA. We’re both really glad we decided to stay on Tybee for dinner instead of going to Savannah. We left feeling really happy, the sign of a great restaurant. Highly recommend this place.

I don’t know why this place does not come out top of the lists on Tybee Beach. It is outstanding! From the outset it looks like a fun beach house and inside, like a speakeasy in New York. They have an incentive and tasty list of modern and popular cocktails but their food is the main stimulation behind it all. I had the tuna steak and my girlfriend chose the risotto and between the two we were blown away by the simplistic flavor. Don’t second guess this place and give it a go, you won’t be sorry!

Exceptional tastes! Awesome dinner! Authentic menu — perfect tuna, amazing lobster risotto, and the braised short ribs were crazy good. Started dining outside and moved in due to rain. Sitting at the bar was entertaining and informational. Kurtis is an amazing chef, artist and we hear he plays a great guitar. A great find in Tybee! Shhhh don’t tell the masses.

Incredible! Best food and service around. We drove 8 hours to come to the beach. We’d drive 8 hours to come back here to eat! My friends and husband had fish which they loved. I am a vegetarian and had awesome steamed veggies. Fabulous flavors and unusual vegetables. Can’t wait to come back.

We called here desperate to find one decent experience on Tybee after several disappointments. Wow! Every part of this place is spot on. From the first phone call to the book of riddles that the bill was delivered in. Food, extraordinary! Service, superb. Ambiance, relaxing but just serious enough. Do not miss this place, even if it’s off the beaten path by a block. Find it. We had an octopus special that knocked our socks off. Local fare, done with flare and pride.

A large group of us were in town for a wedding. We called and made reservations here and when we arrive they say is outside. It was wonderful! The location looks a little… iffy, but once you arrive, you notice how unique and different this farm to table hole in the wall is — from the front door to the restrooms. The manager and waiter(Joe) took superb care of us. His recommendations were spot on, the drinks were delicious & the atmosphere was super cool. We were all very complimentary of our experience when we finished our meal and vowed to come back if we are ever back in Tybee. Thanks, TIFC!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Menu changes but during our visit we were lucky enough to have Oysters Pulaski, Short Rib dinner and Crab, Mushroom and Shrimp Risotto dinner. The Oysters were so good that we ended up ordering a second plate of it. My short ribs were unbelievable and the other people I was with LOVED the risotto. This is a MUST visit place when you are on the island!!!

Best atmosphere on Tybee. A Brooklyn take on the southern fish camp. Very good food, fresh and inventive take on seafood. And an interesting artisan cocktail bar. Small dining room, so call for reservations

We popped in on a Friday night without reservations and sat at the bar. The restaurant is small, but not cramped. More like quaint. The bartender was utterly fantastic, both at chatting and making drinks. We ate more than we probably needed to, but we just couldn’t help ourselves. Not only were we hungry, but everything looked and sounded so good! We had the bread service(ohmygod, that herbed butter!), the scallop okonomiyaki(so good!), the lobster and mushroom risotto(sans shrimp, due to my allergy), the swordfish, and followed it up with a fantastic dessert, which was a goat cheese tart. Seriously, that goat cheese tart was so good that I asked if they had a pastry chef. Turns out, they do not. They just have some incredibly talented folks working in the back of that there kitchen. We spent over $ 100 for the two of us, but that included enough food to stuff us silly and two delightful cocktails. You could easily take in a little bit less, still be satisfied, and get out of there for more like $ 40 per head. This is exactly what we have been wanting to see in Tybee. I hope this place sticks around, because it’s got a special spot in my heart.

The wife was skeptical when we pulled up. I told her the reviews say it is way better than it looks from the outside, and they were right. Both the wife and I loved it. Called on the way on a Friday night, they saved us seats at the bar, and we enjoyed the friendly staff and regulars. The spicy tuna entrée was a little bland for my taste, but I ordered the lobster entrée special for dessert, and it was awesome. This was our first and only visit to Tybee, but I can’t imagine there being a better restaurant in the area.

WARNING, WARNING: This is NOT your typical, campy, all fried fare type of Fish Camp. It’s SOMUCHMORE than that with an intimate setting, super fresh ingredients and a extremely thoughtful menu, with service and presentation to match. Tybee Island Fish camp is a small, super cute 1950’s cottage, with seating inside and a killer deck outside, underneath gorgeous Live Oaks, with adorable string lighting, for the perfect date night setting.(They do have larger tables and areas for groups as well.) We opted to sit outside, and started off with a couple of craft cocktails. I had the pompel-mule,(Tito’s, ginger beer, grapefruit and lavender water) and it was fruity, spicy and refreshing. Adam went with the Aviation, that packed quite a punch! They have about 12 or so artisan cocktails to choose from, a small, but satisfying beer list, and a few different types of wine for your wine lovers. Looking back, I’m a little disappointed we didn’t try an app, but we were looking for something light: the Green Salad just sounded amazing, so we ordered one to share. Check out these ingredients: Grapes, celery curls, charred tomatillos, butter lettuce, pistachios, goat cheese and green goddess dressing. They happened to be out of the add on of pork belly that night, so we opted to add pickled shrimp.(I’ve never tried it before.) Tart, sweet, nutty, smooth… this salad was absolutely AMAZING. Everything blended together so well, the goat cheese to smooth things out, and the pickled shrimp? KILLER. On to the entrees: I ordered the swordfish, and Adam went with the lobster, shrimp and mushroom risotto. The swordfish was a dense, meaty cut, perfectly seared on the outside. It had a bit of saltiness to it, and when mixed with the cheddar cheese grits and a dab of the beurre blanc, it was just heavenly. They had run out of the summer squash side, but they substituted collards instead, and they were right on. Adam’s risotto was like an adventure in your mouth! The addition of the barley and smoked bacon give it more depth than the normal risotto, with an earthy, smokey deliciousness that paired so well with the rest of the dish. Both dishes were of proper proportions(not too much, not too little) and our awesome server Jimmy, who found out we were on our honeymoon, brought us a fresh fruit trifle on the house to celebrate our recent nuptials!(Jimmy, you were awesome!) We had a few cups of coffee as well to end our fantastic dining experience here. If you are a foodie tourist or local, or one that appreciates locally sourced and super fresh ingredients, prepared elegantly, bookmark this spot now!!! If you are looking for an all-fried, dime a dozen tourist trap, this isn’t your spot. 5 stars all the way from me. We had the most lovely dinner and when we head back to Tybee, you betcha we are coming back to visit! Thank you for one of the highlights of our honeymoon!

Amazing in every aspect. I found my home away from home with Fish Camp. It’s a quaint secluded little restaurant decorated modern with sleek lines, black and white striped pillows on the deck and a half-chandelier at the end of the bar. Beautiful rich interiors. Like it appeared out of a black and white photograph. Started with a perfectly selected red wine by our server Jimmy after I asked him to ‘surprise me’ with a big dry red cab. Spot on. He chose Smith & Hook and I love that particular wine. Ordered first was bone marrow, yum. Served with a French baguette. It wasn’t the Best I’ve ever had. but for the location it had good flavor and I was glad to see a place on Tybee remind me of King + Duke at home. We had succulent Dungess crab! The legs were cooked perfectly and it was with a thick creamy remolade butter sauce. Almost overwhelming on the sauce, the meat is already so flavorful! We followed with baked oysters which wasn’t my favorite but beautifully prepared and had flavor. I have a texture thing… The crunch didn’t make it all the way around and the warm gooey center threw me off. I’m clearly not meant to eat oysters any way but raw. Following the oysters we ate the seared scallops, probably my favorite dish of the night. Not over done or over seasoned. They were slightly crisped on the outside and served over gratin style potato slices. Finishing dinner we ordered the Flourless chocolate cake which was amazing. I ate it at the bar and sipped baileys and coffee and socialized with the 2 other people there. A guy ended up serenading us on the piano and singing which was cool. The owners were extremely nice! Invited us to come watch a blues band play at their other venue, Tybee Island Social club Friday night. Enjoyed that as well. This restaurant is a must see and must eat when on Tybee! Don’t not go, it’s worth every cent and memory you’ll make.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. I didn’t realize it was owned by the same people who own Social Club. I can only hope that they rally from a rough start the same way Social did. I called for a reservation for two about three days ahead. I was told my preferred time of 6:30 was not available but 6:15 or 6:45 were. When we showed up there was only one other table seated, a table of five. Not sure why 6:30 wasn’t available. I understand trying to stagger seating but that seems excessive but didn’t really impact the overall experience. The hostess tried to seat us next to the only other table. I requested the other two top that was slightly further away. She stated that she had to check that it wasn’t reserved. Makes little sense. We were present and just didn’t want to sit right on top of the only other diners, especially since they had children. Luckily she came back and seated us at the requested table. We received the menu and ordered a bottle of wine. The mark-up seemed a little high for Tybee but not really out of line with other more high end restaurants elsewhere. We were really excited about the menu. We almost just ordered a bevy of appetizers but I really wanted to try the lamb. We ordered the pierogies. My husband grew up in Pittsburgh and frequently ate them fresh from the Polish Mothers of his friends. I’ve also made them a few times. They were very disappointing. The dough was thick and chewy. They are advertised as sausage pierogies but the sausage is actually not in the pierogies but on top of them. The bottoms of the pierogies were a little overdone and the tops were essentially raw. We sent the third one back untouched. We mentioned that they weren’t good but the server didn’t seem phased. The lamb and the flounder arrived as our entrees. The lamb shank was a very large portion. The kale side was very tasty. I took the remainder of the lamb home. It was excellent. Unfortunately, the flounder had multiple pin bones which made the dining experience not so fun for my husband. The taste was good but the execution was not. The restaurant was completely full, bar included, when we left. The noise level was not overwhelming as it is in some other restaurants when full. For approximately $ 50/person, it didn’t live up to expectations. We will try again when the kinks are worked out.
