Popeyes brings back my childhood to the times when my parents were too lazy to cook and fast food burgers just didn’t seem worth the money. It’s my first time at this location so I had neutral feelings. When I ordered the combo ¼lb popcorn shrimp, my feelings turned negative. Definitely is NOT worth the money(see picture). They advertise ¼lb but maybe it was half that. For my side I ordered the corn on the cob– I took it out to show the true portion they gave me for the shrimps. Disappointing. You lose your money’s worth here.

I admit, I did the ultimate sin of coming here after I love Jollibee so much, but since I used to be a stock holder of this I decided to try this out. I did not see the specials and was build when I walked in. It is a little bit more than Jollibee, but you get more selections. I ordered the 3 piece combo meal. Just note that you get one side and a drink, I accidentally thought you get 2 sides for some reason. But anyways I was hungry so it was okay. It ended up being $ 11.50 per the meal. The tea was great and awesome. The fried chicken was awesome and tasted great and did not remember the chicken being good. Biscuits great too. I really like Popeyes and would not mind eating it again.

Needless to say, my visitation to popeyes has come to an end. Over the years that I have been eating your food it’s been enjoyable. The food and staff has changed or maybe it’s just the night crew. But tonight’s visit just did it for me. All but one employee was working diligently while the rest were talking up a storm. The person. Who took my ordered did not seem like she was in the mood to get my order. The other person who served me my food didn’t even offer any type of cutlery or sauce of some sort. As soon as she bagged my food, immediately turned around and started talking again to whoever she was speaking to. Prior to that they both of those ladies were able to give customer service and offered condiments and what not. I understand it was closing time but at least be courteous. The food… I don’t know if your portions have changed and I wish I took pictures. But I feel like I spent $ 12.00 for a kids portioned meal. I order a large order of popcorn shrimp which costed $ 3.89 and the Cajun surf and turf at 7.29 plus tax came out to $ 12.30. I don’t mind the price but the portion was so skimpy. Chicken strip were thinner than my middle finger, and the popcorn shrimp… the popcorn shrimp I got mostly the breaded part rather than shrimp and it costs $ 3.89 for a handful??? I really hate complaining but my experience tonight was just… horrible. As for the rating. 3 stars because the food is still good.

I called in my order and had it picked up. First thing, I asked for spicy they gave me mild. I figured it wasn’t a big deal I’ll just add extra sauce on it, HOWEVER, I tore my chicken tender after eating a part of the edge and found it was still PINK! RAWCHICKEN!!! I WENTBACKRIGHTAWAY. The lady asked for my recipt, I described who came in, and after finally taking it I went to the car to grab the recipt. She didn’t even look at it. After I waited another 10 minutes for my new tenders, which to be honest at this point I wish I just asked for a refund because I couldn’t even eat it. I was so disgusted. I asked for a pie. She laughed at me and asked why I wanted one. I told her because I almost ate RAWCHICKEN! And they should try to make it rigjr. At the end I’m happy I asked for the pie because I didn’t end up eating the tenders. Something about seeing the pink right before you eat it set me off. I’m good off of eating popeyes.

What I like about this Popeyes is that it’s very clean. Not all restaurant bathrooms are clean but this place has one of the cleanest bathroom in union city. that shows me that the management really care bout their reputation. Also, I always go here and I think it’s time to give this place credit. Every time I buy something from here, I never get disappointed.

I’m a native of New Orleans so I pretty much grow up eating popeyes chicken every week. I used to like this place since their food is decent but lately the service have seems to go downhill. Today I decided to stop by since I was in the area to grab some food. This also happen to be tuesday so they have that special 2 piece so it was pretty crowded. I was there to buy the 2 piece mix special with 2 reg sides and a biscuit that they advertise for $ 5. I told the lady I wanted that order and a breast and a wing for the 2 piece mix. She told me its only leg and thigh, in all those years eating popeyes I’ve never encounter when they said mixed piece is leg and thigh only, to me it means you can pick any 2 different piece you want. I repeatedly told her it says mixed on the window and she still say the same but I only want to eat white meat not dark meat. This just pissed me off so bad that I just walk out. It’s already tough to find a parking space in this area during the afternoon and waiting in a long line for false advertisement is just not right. I hope this message gets to the management because simple things like this could piss customers off.

Really decent fast food, the BEST biscuits, good selection, yummy sides. I wandered in here by accident(close to BofA) but now it’s a destination. Best fried chicken, get the large redbeans and rice — you’ll be glad you did.

Someone in my household comes here once a month. Our orders vary but always include mashed potatoes and fries. Popeyes makes the best fries I have ever had at a national fast food chain. If you haven’t had them I highly suggest you buy a box for yourself and hide somewhere. I enjoy coming here because my part Philippino ass shops in this plaza at least once a week. I also choose this location because it is oddly cleaner than most others and the people who work here have never given any attitude. Some days this store is peppier than others and sometimes they aren’t as peppy. They are never rude though. Now I want Popeyes.

It took them 35 minutes for my order. I came on a Monday evening at 6pm and didn’t get my food until 6:35pm. I had a relatively small order too. Okay, I’ve actually LIVED in New Orleans before so I know slow service with the Popeye’s and Church’s Chicken over there but this takes the cake. It would have been faster if I chased a chicken around, caught it, plucked the feathers and deep fried it myself. I gave them an extra star for some decent tasting chicken.

This was a couple months ago and I forgot to post for some reason it was a draft. But hey Honestly food is good, but service is shit. Whoever karina is there was rude and I basically told her the 3 items were missing and she looked at me and asked me what my point was. Newark popeyes is much better. Plus they have a drive thru

This place is only worthy of three stars for a few reasons. I’ll start of with the good, it’s a newer location so it feels modern and clean. Let’s see how long the clean lasts after a few years. Plus who doesn’t like new? Also it’s a convenient considering I live close by. Ample hand washing facilities because come on? All this food is greasy, and I don’t want a greasy face, phone, or anything else I touch. The last of the good is the Filipino employes, extra super friendly, polite, and courteous. Have to love them. Next, the food. Just like all Popeyes/fast food joints they all pretty much taste the Same. Thanks corporate America. Now here goes the bad. They charge for everything!!! If you’ve been to the half moon bay location drinks come with every combo no extra charge for sauces. This location capitalizes on it all and had an extra charge for it all. I’m not a cheap person but Dahm why wouldn’t sauce come with my tenders. Now here goes what really ticked me off on my last visit. Those Dahm Mexican employees, and no I’m not racist I’m Mexican myself. I came in with my cousin and we just expected our typical service but Dahm all these MFers were rude AF. They had about 5 or 6 of them there all with a bad attitude. I’m paying for my food they could’ve at least smiled. Slamming stuff all around in the back why were they mad? It was a slow night. Pay attention to what they’re saying in Spanish because it isn’t nice. I seen a lady walk up and order and the three workers in the front were cracking jokes about her Filipina accent, what she was wearing, and her looks. I was pissed that they would talk like that about customers. Do they know these customers are why they have a job. Final thoughts, I would go back only because I love their chicken and I live so close. Guaranteed it’s only going to be when I see the Filipino management in there. I’ll steer clear from this place if I see nothing but those rude workers in there. I hope the business owners read this and give the rude employees a customer service 101. Pay attention to they chit chat in the back who knows if they’re making fun of you.

Who doesn’t love Popeyes?! Sure beats KFC! The fried goodness with the perfect crisp skin and juicy dark tender meat. Mmmmm. Even the yummy southern smell gets to ya! Adding the southern Louisiana touch to it, they also sell ice tea and cajun fries! Nomz! Haha, I don’t normally write reviews for fast-food chains but this Popeyes location is an exception! Hidden inside a plaza next to Maneki Sushi, the place is big, it’s clean, the service is great, and the food is on point! No undercooked food or anything! What more can you ask for from a fast food joint? They have daily specials and since I came in on a Tuesday, I’m sure you can figure out what I ordered, haha. The Tuesday special came with a drumstick and thigh, with a biscuit. Adding a side(Mash potato or cajun fries — chose cajun fries) for an additional $ 1. Total came out to be a little under $ 6. This Popeyes definitely beats the one on Santa Clara Ave. in Hayward. Thanks Sara for your friendly service!

Fast, cheap, and good. I was so excited to see a Popeyes open in Union City. Their chicken is so much better than the KFC across the street. I’ve been here a few times and I’d have to say that I’m quite impressed at the service at this place. I’ve never had a problem here. The workers are always nice and friendly. The chicken comes out pretty quickly and they’re always perfectly crisp. The Tuesday special(1 Drumstick, 1 thigh for $ 1.29) is always a good deal, but it can get a little busy. I’d come for it anyways.

This Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits is located inside the Alvarado Plaza Shopping Center with the Rite Aid & Seafood City. The interior of this Popeyes, looks pretty nice for a fast food restaurant. They have a Huge Flat Screen TV for customers to watch while they dine in and they have 4 ceiling fans to keep the restaurant cool on those hot days. We ordered a 10 piece bucket of chicken and they gave us 3 free finger tenders, how nice of them :) The chicken here was great and tasty. Customer Service is great too, the workers are nice and friendly. There are signs all over the parking lot on the lights, advertising Popeyes different specials. The parking lot is pretty full since there are quite a few shops there including the major supermarket and drugstore. Popeye’s is located on the Rite Aid side of the shopping center. Hours: 10AM — 10PM.

The chicken chain wars in Union City has just heated up. Popeyes had their grand opening this pass Wed on 12⁄21. This is one of my favorite chains for southern styled cooking. I came here to pick up a chicken only meal for a family get together. The establishment had the new look. There was a few patrons dining in the restaurant. The service was very friendly and quick. Once I was in and placed my order, I was out in less than 5 minutes. I ordered 13 piece chicken only meal(all spicy and dark meat) $ 12.99 + tax. The quality of the chicken here is much better than the other chains in the city. Crispier to say the least. But, is a little bit more on the pricey side. If you have never been to a Popeyes, I would recommend trying the chicken and these following items: — Cajun fries — Red beans and rice — Cane sugar sweet tea — Biscuits — Mash potatoes and gravy — Corn Now we have another chicken chain contender in Union City! Let’s get ready to Cluck!
