It was ok. The little fried dumplings were very good when fresh and hot, but don’t let them get cold and eat them!!! I had the chicken teriyaki and it was fine, it was not chicken breast meat, but all dark meat. The inside of the restaurant needs updated, all the chairs were ripped and it needed cleaned. This is not a place for the germaphobic people I will not be going back to eat.

Good was awful service is lacking as well. No sesame seeds for the bbq pork. What’s that about?

Food was decent. I got it to go because I was on my lunch break… they didn’t give me any silverware :(. I like the gyoza, they are a bit smaller than most, but you get a lot of them.

Not good. The food is very very very sweet. If you want food that is very sweet, very salty and taste old and has no fresh ingredients go here. Over priced also. I can’t believe that our meal that was barely edible was $ 22. My husband and I went there because another restaurant next-door was closed. I will never go there again.

HINT: order the teriyaki sauce on the side. Ordered the standard lunch special teriyaki chicken with gyoza, cold salad and rice. Service was moderately fast and pleasant. Food was Not Good. The chicken was adequately grilled. Not dried out and fairly tender but the sauce was overpowering in both sugar and salt. I couldn’t taste the chicken. The gyoza(7 or 8 small ones) were evenly deep fried but had mealy and flavorless stuffing. Not sure if it was meat, vege or some byproduct of both. This was actually nasty enough that I didn’t finish the gyoza. As an «under-taster» that appreciates volume of food… to leave food on the plate, that’s huge. Salad was plain. Nothing to comment on. Two scoops of rice but scoops were SMALL. Better to have less carbs but… not filling. Clean inside. Clean bathroom. Plentiful parking. Easy to find.

This really is the best teriyaki in town, and the best teriyaki I have ever had. The food is consistently good, I have never had a bad meal from here. I have been going here ever since it opened a couple years ago. I still come here whenever I go to Yakima since I live in Spokane now. I usually just have the teriyaki chicken and it so delicious, the meat is very tender and cooked perfectly. It doesn’t even have burnt parts like some of the teriyaki I have had from other places. There rice is kind of sweet and I really like that, it is also cooked perfectly every time. The salad that comes with the meal has this sweet dressing that is soooooooo good, I wish I could get some for my own salads. haha The last time I went I tried the California roll(didn’t even know they had sushi. haha) and it was some of the best sushi I had.

We stopped here for dinner(based on some good Unilocal reviews) during a road trip when I was craving some good teriyaki. The teriyaki chicken was excellent, as were the gyozas. My husband who’s not a huge fan of meat had the rice and vegetables which were seasoned with WAY too much garlic(and I love garlic). I only had a couple bites, but garlic is all I could taste for hours after our meal. Despite the excessive use of garlic, the restaurant was clean and welcoming, with the rest of the food and service being good. I would give it four stars, but we watched them turn a customer away 15 minutes before closing(when there were still many people in the restaurant and the open sign was still blazing).
