Ok so I’ve eaten at 46th street in Houston. But most things being the same right lol this one here in San Antonio is better… Still one if not the best pizza I’ve eaten

This place SUCKS! It’s run down and smells like mold. They should be ashamed to say that it’s a New York Style Pizzeria. No Pizzeria in their right mind would ever serve individual slices«during lunch time only!», ho does that? Plus those mini slices should be illegal for them to serve while using to «46th Street» name! This pzza(removing the«i», on purpose) reminds me of the square frozen pizza’s that they used to serve us in middle school when I went to Mt. Carmel Holy Rosary in Harlem when I was a kid. Yeah, you know the ones that made you vomit or nearly crap your draws as soon as you got back to class! Ughhhh… And the sauce??? What the heck was that? It taste like a mix of Ketchup, Italian Dressing, Sugar, Salt and Tomato Paste! This place is soooo, disgusting and they definitely do not know what NY Pizza tastes like, looks like or smells like, period! On top of that they had the nerve to be rude. This was and will be the very last time I’d pull into their parking lot or even read their sign while driving by this wannabe NY Style Pizza garbage disposal!!!

Wow. Best pizza in San Antonio by far! Great service, not too expensive either. If they had garlic knots I would never leave but it’s still great nonetheless. Can’t wait to go back again yumm!

The white pizza is absolutely amazing, and the put-it-on-everything tomato sauce was really good. Unlike some places *coughOliveGardencough* 46th Street Pizza actually salts their pasta water(as is the only right way to cook pasta), so the spaghetti was also really good. I left off a star because my parents were unimpressed with the meatballs; they said that the meat was too finely ground, giving them a pâté-like texture with no chew. On the other hand, the portion size was perfect for two people. Next time, we’ll try the spaghetti with meat sauce. Overall, the place is clean, smells good, has a pleasant interior, and is convenient to my house. The exterior is blah and uninspiring, but don’t let that put you off. 46th Street is our new first-choice pizza place.

Great food, wonderful service. Could not ask for a better place for some Italian grub. All fresh, you will not find some sisco food here, real Italian.

The service was good but I wasn’t too impressed with the cheese pizza. I used to live in little Italy in NYC so have a pretty high bar to be fair. I’ve heard the whole pies are better so I still might give that a shot. Nice lunch special options too.

I just can’t get down with this place… I fell into its bed, twice, and was left unsatisfied. Silly, slutty me! Super nice, informative staff. Clean, nice interior. No qualms there. The same folks own Figlio’s & we ‘re told everything is homemade. First time I had two slices of pizza & side salad lunch special… meh. The other day, I got eggplant rollitini(or something like that) off their daily specials board… eggplant, ham, cheese rolled up. Fail. Tasted like salty fried ham. I tried to pass it off to two colleagues. No takers. Tasted the meatball sammich… pretty sad, flavorless meatballs. Slam some garlic & parsley in there! Somethin! The bread is the one saving grace of 46th… it’s good, thick, crusty. Top it with garlic & cheese… It’s the only thing I’ve liked here. But not enough to return. Deuces, 46th.

Horrible pizza horrible service! Ordered 2 take out pizzas one a plain and one with bacon and extra cheese and this was only after it took 10 minutes on the phone with a person who spoke almost no English. Then when we got the pizza it was the most alien thing I’ve ever seen. My entire family said it tasted sour. Like mold. The pizzas were both wrong and it took 45 minutes to just pick them up after we were told 15 mins. Never again!

Try the pizza, try the salad! Get a small salad though because they’re HUGE(the the fantastic way.) For pizza this is the best place in town– the pizza is fresh, cooked perfectly, and well worth the verrry reasonable price! Skip every other pizza place in UC– this is the best!

We’ve only had the calzone here and have been meaning to order the pizza before writing a review to make it a complete review. But I keep going back for the calzone because my husband really likes it. I usually get it to go to enjoy in the comfort of our home. The crust is nice and holds up well during the drive home. The calzone is stuffed with enough of whatever we ask them to put in there. But not so much as to make the crust soggy. They always give us a huge amount of marinara sauce, which is great! Most places seem to be stingy with the sauce. One day we’ll eventually get around to trying the pizzas. For now, we are quite content with the calzone.

Meh. This location is lacking the magic that the IH10 location has. It was just ok for me. I don’t understand how different things could be when I’ve been told the employees rotate and do everything the same. This is the reason I drive so far for a restaurant even if there is one of the same chain close to me. I usually drive 17 miles(30 min) to the IH10 location. The pizza this time at Pat Booker was dripping with grease the crust was tough the garlic bread was burnt and all together lacking flavor, the sad part is I’m not a picky eater but I was very disappointed on this first impression so much so I’ll probably never go back.

APPARENTLYSOMEPEOPLEDONOTUNDERSTANDWHAT«NYSTYLEPIZZERIA» MEANS The pizza is supposed to be a thin, hand tossed, soggy style that can easily be folded in half for consumption. It’s supposed to be lighter on the sauce. It’s supposed to have a thin, covering layer of cheese. If you don’t want that, then go somewhere else. But to me, they have the holiest of holys — the big pizza ovens where the to go orders are stacked on top to keep them warm. Oh god, that feeling when you pick up a warm box. So worth it.

Quick scoop: San Antonio has pizza joints galore. You can spot one on virtually any street corner and some ppl will swear by their local pizzeria. Unfortunately, this is one of the many mediocre places which somehow get over-hyped. In reality, the pizza is very run of the mill and a bit on the soggy side if u ask me. I had a side salad with my lunch combo and that was also very plain. The service was a bit non-existent as well. I was asked what I’d like to order by a very bored and indifferent cashier and no one ever checked on me while I dined in. If I were you, I’d go somewhere else where the food and service actually deserve your hard earned money.

A decent slice. Tastes fresh, hits the spot. Had the 46th Street Special, without the anchovies. It’s a feast of a pizza with surprisingly fun flavor combos. Worth a spot in the rotation if you’re into mixing things up(vs. having your idea of the perfect pie every time). I’d probably rate it closer to a 4, but I’ll go 3, so as not to overhype the perfectly executed ordinary pizza you’ll find.(3.5?)

First, let me start off by saying that I have never been to New York, so I can’t compare 46th Street New York Style Pizzeria’s pizza to a New York pizza. The closest I have been to having New York style pizza was at New York New York in Las Vegas, and that pizza was different and better. As we walked into the restaurant, we couldn’t help but notice that the place was empty on a Saturday night. There was only one other couple eating. It was so quiet, that if you whispered, you would still be heard. The place was very plain, but very clean. We ordered the large garlic bread w/cheese for an appetizer. They brought out four big slices of what looked like French bread cut in two, toasted with cheese melted on top. It tasted good, but it doesn’t come with any dipping sauce. For the meal, we ordered the meat lovers pizza and a ham calzone. The pizza crust was thin, slices were big, and there was an abundance of meaty toppings covering the entire pizza. The Italian sausage was cut from links, which added to the flavor; however it was overwhelming. So you better like Italian sausage if you get the meat lovers. It was too salty for me, and I love salt. The crust was chewy on the bottom. We realized later, when packing our to go box, that it was grease. The calzone was humongous and had A LOT of cheese. I think that was my favorite, but it came with marinara sauce that tasted like it came from a can. We might eat there again and order the calzone, but we would definitely get it to go.
